Star Wars, D&D, and You

So as I was lying in bed last night, a thought occurred to me. More like an impulse, really. I feel like trying out a Star Wars D&D-style campaign here on the board, and wanted to get a quick gauge for thoughts and opinions.

The exact setting is still up in the air. It could be from any era. What-If scenarios, crazy-ass crossovers, everything. I'm still in the process of putting all my ideas together to sort through and decide. In the meantime, if you think this is something you'll be interested in, give me a heads up. I'm looking for between four and six peeps for this shindig. Any more than that, and I think things would get a little too crazy. If I get a large number of folks who'd want to try it out, I'll do a lottery drawing to see who gets a seat.

So what do we do, exactly?

It's much the same as roleplaying here on the board, only instead of simply doing whatever strikes your fancy, much of your character's capabilities and functions are dictated by stats and dice rolls.

We can and should set up a chat game. But I never got into D&D cause it took too long to set the whole thing up.
Works well on a sunday afternoon with friends, not so much on the internet.
