Star Wars Rebels: Maul vs Kenobi (SPOILERS)

I wouldn't call it a spoiler since the scene was in the trailer and since the beginning of the season we knew it was coming somehow some way.

as to it itself.... a mixture. on the one hand the episode seemed to short and things rushed like it would have and could have benefited from being a two parter... on the other though.... it really felt like the end finally of something that they drew out for a long time. Still you got a rather touching scene between the two of them.

What Nico said. It's been advertised for ages and shown in all the trailers. xD

And the fight itself reminded me of something from an old Samurai movie. No lengthy drawn out fight, but a quick, precise duel and show of skill.

[member="Baron Morcus"] agreed it was just after all of the build from maul and the planning to see this vision where they could go and where his last hope was.... the one part loves it for it the other wanted to see more. Still it felt like two old warriors and even after everything Obi-Wan showed some respect for Maul which I think gave it more impact. Reminded me of Kill Bill and some other movies for the build up and quick ending but the aftermath is where the emotion is as well.

Personally, I would have liked to see the fight drawn out a little longer. Or perhaps more dialogue between Maul and Kenobi. It's been something long awaited for and I feel like there should be more to it. Kinda disappointed that Maul was taken down so quickly but that's just me being a fanboy.

All in all, I think the Maul/Kenobi was skillfully done with how short it was and the impact it gave, but again I'd personally like to see more. It's sad to see the end of a character like Maul. I hope we see more of him in comics or books, really my favorite SW character or at least one of them.

I liked it, I love how when kenobi cut maul's lightsaber in half, they both knew it was done. I don't think Obi Wan killed him. I think when maul was disarmed the same way he had been before, he realized he had not changed, and could not defeat Obi Wan, and just finally gave up. We never actually see any wounds on Maul, only that his lightsaber was cut in half.

We do, it's just not that obvious. You can see the smoke rising from his stomach area when he dies. Obi-Wan cut him down at the same time he cut his lightsaber in half.

Why do people hate on this so much?

It's pretty much a Samurai Fight. They don't last for that long, only four-ten seconds. People don't understand drama and art.

Pretty much, this is what I am like to the fans who call this episode crap:

Don't diss art.

Remember, no one wants to be a Slaven.
