Strengths:
Luxurious: With a hand-designed, semi-modular interior, the Stardream offers the environment of a luxurious home in space.
Defensible: Although it has no true combat capabilities, the Stardream-class is more than able to defend itself against pirates and raiders.
Anti-EWS: With its firewalls and advanced encryption systems, this yacht is able to defend itself from electronic and cyber warfare.
KDY: Designed by Gaillard, and produced by KDY; the Stardream has pedigree that buyers can trust, and engineering that once built an empire.
Weaknesses:
Unarmed: No turbolasers, warhead launchers, or ion cannons to speak of; the Stardream is unarmed and incapable of being armed with such weapons.
No hangar: Although it does have a hangar for airspeeders, it cannot hold any starfighters meaning that any escorts must be independent from the vessel.
Wasted Space: Because it was designed for luxury, there are many empty and mostly inaccessible compartments scattered all over the ship, making stowaways and pests easy to miss.
Stands Out: It's a civilian ship and nothing else, without any way to hide itself from sensors it'll be easily seen as what it is.
Description: The first collaboration between KDY and their recently acquired subsidiary, Gaillard, the Stardream-class Luxury Yacht is a personal transport for the elite. With its handcrafted interior, Gaillard badges, and KDY engineering; the Stardream offers any buyer with a sense of comfort and prestige. Perfect for those who travel often, the Stardream may very well serve as a spacefaring home and only requires a crew of six-to-eight, leaving its passengers with privacy and serenity aboard.
Technologically, the starship is no less inspiring. With firewalls, advanced encryption, and advanced shields, the Stardream-class provides peace of mind in a day and age where piracy, warfare, and chaos runs rampant. Its point defense cannons are entirely automated, meaning that the crew can still tend to its passengers as the starship's defenses remain constantly vigilant and never growing tired or weary. And when you want to travel across the world below, the Stardream's hangar is capable of holding two full-sized airspeeders for personal travel.
Much like all Gaillard creations, the luxurious elements offer a certain degree of modularity and customization that few companies offer. Customers can order personalized versions to their own liking simply by asking; all design changes incur only a modest fee and are done by the most experienced designers Gaillard has to offer.*
