Description:
The Wasp is a one-pilot scout ship. It has very weak shields and weapons, but what it lacks in that department it makes up in speed and maneuverability. There is no cargo space and room for a passenger due to it's small size. TDI created the little ship to perform two functions; to scout surrounding areas for potential dangers and to act as 'eyes and ears' in the sky on routine patrols.
The girls at TDI thought it would be best to swap out a strong shield and weapon system for added features to allow for it to perform it's function. Several gadgets were installed, notice the lack of ejection system, to aid the pilot when on recon. A holocamera, a last minute add-on, was installed in the hull that automatically takes live-feed shots and sends them directly to a military base (if on a routine patrol on an owned world) or to base command (in times of war).
The remaining features are focused either jamming systems or seeking out information (ground based troops, vehicles, and ships). The Wasp can perform it's function almost perfectly, but nothing is ever perfect. Technology can be disrupted or fail without warning. So it's advised that the Wasp not be sent into extreme hostile areas, unless accompanied by an escort of fighters.
