STRENGTHS

• Versatility - The Starfire Heartstriker can be switched on the fly from one firing module to the other, allowing Annika to choose the best option for the situation.
• High Fire - The Starfire Heartstriker has a very high damage potential, with explosive, kinetic energy effects upon impact owing to the unstable nature of particle beams. A single bolt from the weapon is capable of leaving a 0.50 meter-wide hole in reinforced durasteel barricades, giving Annika the ability to engage a wide variety of targets under typical conditions. As such, the energy and kinetic output is enough to reliably—but not certainly—overcome many types of conventional defenses. In addition, the Starfire Heartstriker has a very high rate of fire.
• Invisible Fire - The Starfire Heartstriker is a stealthy weapon. With its stealth polymer coating and blaster gas mask, it is effectively invisible to sensors and scanners. The weapon also comes with an anti-sonic silencer, making the process of firing silent at the point of the shooter. Finally, with its small frame, the weapon is easily concealable.

WEAKNESSES

• Fortune Teller - If the weapon is fired with a misaligned prismatic crystal, the risk of an explosive outcome is somewhat high, likely ending with the weapon going off in the wielder’s hand to potentially catastrophic effect in the event that they attempt to fire it in spite of the damage.
• Heat Hazard - While the Starfire Heartstriker is equipped with a cooling system, long, extended firefights can result in a rapid heat buildup which surpasses the cooling capabilities of the system. Should this reach a certain temperature threshold, the integrity system will lock the pistol to prevent Annika from firing in order to allow the weapon to cool. She can opt to bypass this lock and continue, but doing so risks damaging the weapon, inflicting severe burns in her hands, or in more extreme cases, causing the weapon to detonate within her hands.
• Mechu-deru - If left unprotected, the Starfire Heartstriker is susceptible to Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. A talented practitioner of such esoteric sorceries could induce a jam or some other mechanical failure that might compromise the weapon entirely or demand precious time to fix, leaving the shooter vulnerable.

DESCRIPTION
A commissioned weapon, the Starfire Heartstriker is a one-of-a-kind particle beam blaster pistol built for Annika Starfire. It is a reliable, yet advanced design capable of functioning in nearly all conditions. In this, the pistol is designed as a small, snappy weapon, allowing its wielder to quickly bring it onto a given target. However, the weapon is not lacking in stopping power. An integrated doubler and heavy blaster actuator more than doubles the energy output from a standard blaster pistol.

Finally, with signature FAE cosmetic flair, the Starfire Heartstriker fires bright magenta bolts, as befitting the weapon's title. All in all, the Heartstriker is hoped to prove a reliable tool for the young Sorcercess as she makes her way from gothic beauty influencer to Sith Sorceress.
