Description: This sidesword was commissioned by Jamie's father on her behalf after the conclusion of Naboo's fencing championship held in Naboo's Theed Coliseum. Unlike standard regulation swords with dulled edges and rounded tips, this particular weapon has a meticulously crafted edge and tip by a masterwork weapon smith. Incredibly lightweight and versatile, the weapon is one of finesse, rather than power. Engraved with the family name at the base of the pommel it sports an otherwise unassuming aesthetic. The guard is modest yet elegant, with a blade that extends 76.2cm. Though far shorter reach than most other comparable bladed weapons, in close combat it excels at making precise cuts and thrusts. The sword, being one of a kind and having been forged with Impervium, is far more resilient than any typical sword on the open market. Though not ideal, the forging of the weapon will allow it glancing strikes of a lightsaber, however direct and prolonged contact must be avoided, lest damage to the blade be incurred.

Note: Impervium does not expressly state that via wookiepedia or other sources that it is lightsaber resistant/proof. However, judging by the implied data that it is nearly impenetrable and requires a large scale barrage of concentrated cannon fire to breach Impervium, and that the material was also used as molecular incinerators, I believed it a fair assumption that it is an acceptable use to handle brief, glancing blows from a lightsaber and carefully worded it as such. This will not be used to engage blow-for-blow saber vs sword combat at any point in time.
