Faction Step into the Light (SJC)

Location: Jedi Temple, Commenor

There was something to be said about being an adventurer in pursuit of the unknown. The path was never easy, dangers lurked around every corner, from wild creatures to the elements. Some greater and more terrifying than others. Right now Milla was facing one of the worst things any adventurer could come across. Getting stuck in a tour group.

The Master that was leading said group had promised that there would be much to see and explore at the Jedi temple here on Commenor. Yet again, Milla had fallen for it. This was her own fault for expecting something different than the last several times. Now she wondered the halls of the newer temple while the Master droned on and on about something she stopped paying attention to a while back. Instead her bare feet instinctively followed the group while her mind wondered elsewhere.

Sure it was nice to get out and see things, but another temple? This one wasn't even in a forest. Possibly not even...so focused on other things was she that she didn't even see the group stop. The small padawan walked straight into the person in front of her.

Draven was on the tour for different reasons this particular evening. The primary one being he had a lot of work getting back into the flow of things following his Weik vacation. If you count planting a ship in an arctic ocean and waiting four months to fish it out and fix it a vacation. Some people would he supposed.

Still it didn't mean Draven was particularly fond of doing this tour. In fact it was one of the less engaging ones he had witnessed. Not helping the fact was Draven had been to Commenor once before this particular day. That and someone nearby him was sharing a deeper displeasure towards the predicament. He was dressed in navy blue robes and tan pants matched with the fact he was barefoot.

He was about to lose himself in his own thought bubble. When the group came to a stop and suddenly a individual bumped into him. Draven furrowed his brows and frowned. Turning to investigate what the matter was all about. Until a familiar face met his own eyes. Draven had met Milla Caranthyr Milla Caranthyr once before this day. Actually during his time on Weik. So, it was not an unpleasant expression that crossed his features while he seemed confused for a moment. It was more of an 'Oh... Hey.. You're here! Life might be less dull now!' Kind of confusion. If that made any sense.

"Are you okay?" Draven inquired. While he checked to see whether or not she was doing fine. After their unexpected reunion. "Shouldn't you be off.. Sneaking?" He added in a quieter voice as a reminder crossed his mind that Milla was notorious for going her own path during these tours.

Milla looked up in slight surprise at the sight of Draven Eterena Draven Eterena . The last time she had seen him was on Weik, seeing him here was kind of unexpected. "Draven!" The little padawan exclaimed at the welcome sight of someone familiar. Her expression went from surprise, to confusion then to mild annoyance at his question. Rolling her eyes, she gave a sigh. "It's another Jedi temple. Where would I go? I probably have already seen everything like this back at...." She paused.

There it was, something new upon the force. Drifting along its currents, like music so subtle she almost missed it. A song not sung with words but with the force itself, keeping almost perfect rhythm with a heartbeat. Milla closed her eyes and felt it brush her own force signature, the end of her tail starting to sway to the beat, her ears twitched a little as if trying to find the direction it was coming from. This wasn't some force technique, it was radiating naturally from a being.

"Do you feel that?" Milla asked, but truly didn't expect an immediate response. At least not immediate enough to keep her in one spot. She tilted her head in the direction this force current was coming from, then turned her body that way. Opening her eyes, she was facing down a hallway the tour group passed. The tour group that was now slowly getting ahead of them, far enough ahead for her to slip away but not far enough that they would quickly notice her absence. She pulled the force in on herself, making her force signature almost completely vanish entirely. Without waiting for a response from Draven, she hurried down the hallway. Bare feet carrying her along as quietly as a shadow.

Draven noticed her annoyance and was about to attempt most likely poorly to amend the matter. Once she pointed out they were in a jedi temple. At which point he was saved from the matter.by a wave. Instinctively Draven did the opposite of Milla. Opposed to connecting on the matter. Draven threw up a mental shield and blocked it out. Often times it was not normal for the force energies of another living being to reach out so loosely. Nor was it an experience Draven let come to him without reasoning. As while he did reach out and feel things quite often with the force. It was often times not sentient people also with a connection. As it would only further complicate his empathic nature.

Draven heard Milla Caranthyr Milla Caranthyr jab a question his direction. Before taking off in pursuit of the individual of interest. Draven shrugged his shoulders and worked not so easily on suppressing his own force signature. Before taking off after Milla. Doing his best not to draw attention to himself. Again it didn't come as naturally and he was only barely able to duck around a corner before someone could point out his attempt at disappearing.

Draven appreciated Milla being present. As like expected. Things were now going to be interesting. Though he wasn't sure what to think of her seeking out a person.. Opposed to seeking out an item or place. Needless to say it was a bit late to question the matter as he finally caught up to his fellow padawan and roamed along beside her. "Yup." Was his simple one worded reply to her question from earlier. Though his tone suggested he was not pleased about it being the case. It was one thing if the feeling came from someone he knew.. This one he hadn't guarded himself off from before.

Milla barely registered Draven Eterena Draven Eterena 's answer as she made her way down the hallway. Her mind was so focused on tracking down the source of the force current. They duo came to a halt when they reached a T. Milla paused for a moment. She reached out tentatively with the force towards the force signature. In her mind she visualized the current as it flowed by. After a moments of silence, there it was. Like a small swarm of fireflies drifting by like a stream.

Without out hesitation, she was on the move again. Each time she they stopped, she found the trail even faster. Soon they were deeper in the temple where few Jedi seemed to be. The duo entered a hallway that was almost completely gray, save for a few colored stripes here and there leading away. The hallway wasn't very long, with maybe a dozen rooms lining it. Rooms with a single thick transparent wall and door. After a moment, Milla realized that these were cells, they were in a jail.

Common sense told her they shouldn't be here, but they were so close to finding the source of the strange force signature. Letting out a slow breath, Milla moved forward, her feet still making no sound. So far the cells were empty, except one. Milla came to a stop directly in front of the cell that was the source of what she sought.

The young woman had been taken captive for attempting to hack into the computer systems in the Jedi compound on Commenor. She didn't only try but actually succeeded in accomplishing her mission. Not entirely though since she was caught and now sat as a prisoner in this little cell. Luckily...or not, the case against the former Sith was rather flimsy and she was positive she would soon get released. Maybe it might be thought of as odd that with her knowing how to teleport that she stayed locked up. Then again, maybe she just did not consider using the skill to escape.

When she was taken prisoner, her belongings were taken away. Which was to be expected but she got to keep her clothes. Of course, her pockets had been emptied. Feeling rather naked even though the slicer was far from that, she sat on the bed provided for her and had her eyes closed. Opening them as she heard the approach of a few people, she met the gaze of the girl looking through the forcefield at her.

"If you're looking to get any additional information from me, I'm sorry I am unable to give you anything. Your masters here have everything."

There was no anger or even irritation in her tone and she remained seated. Narrowing her eyes just slightly, she appeared a bit confused but she stated nothing else out loud. Though if any of them could feel her emotions, they would pick up on her curiosity.

He had been back at the temple on Commenor for just about a week and already he was wishing he could leave again. He spent some time away from here when he was learning from Ryuchi, spent time on Kashyyk for life day and even took a class led by Master Vanagor but that was all things from the past. Ryuchi was gone, off doing something too dangerous to bring Dagos. It had hurt his feelings when he had heard that. He wanted to make Ryuchi proud but it seemed that in their short time together he hadn’t earned the master’s respect. So after that Dagos took some time away from the temple and the Jedi altogether. He had went back to his parent’s home on Commenor and the three of them spent time together just being a regular family again.

But now he was back here trying again to be a Jedi and bored out of his karking mind. He wandered the halls of the temple as he had done seemingly hundreds of times since returning. There was a small tour group that was traveling through the temple too. Dagos barely paid them any mind, he knew that it was not very likely any of the visitors would choose to make this temple their home. The temple on Kashyyk was wonderful built into a massive worshyr tree, the temple was a physical representation of the force itself, inside the natural beauty of the world and connecting it to everything else. it was naturally the choice most Jedi made.

Dagos wouldn’t have paid any attention to the group as he passed it except for the two people who broke away from the group to sneak off on their own, a boy and a girl, near his own age. Normally, he wouldn’t have followed them, he knew what two people of the opposite sex usually snuck off to do but there was a determination from the way the female one of them was walking that made it seem like she was looking for something more subsational than a good time plus he had been practicing on using the force to suss out emotion and he hadn’t felt any lusty feelings, so his curiosity got the better of him and he took off after them.

He trailed after them through the winding corridors, not in a conspicuous way or even in an inconspicuous way. He was following along like it had always been the plan for the three of them to meet down here, in the...dungeon. The Jedi had a dungeon. Wild.

As he approached after the two teenagers he could hear a voice coming from one of the cells. He was dressed simply. White T-shirt, Black jeans and a pair of black and red sneakers.

"If you're looking to get any additional information from me, I'm sorry I am unable to give you anything. Your masters here have everything."

A woman’s voice. She sounded older than he was but not by much.

“Man. Frak are ya’ll doing down here?” he called out to the two sneaky sorts from the tour group. He was still a couple of cells down from the rest of them so he still could not see who they were talking too.

Draven was doing his best to focus on the task. Though was a bit in awe by the fact. Milla had somehow directed them towards a prison, or jail, or containment center.. Did technicality even really matter? The fact was Draven was quite certain a huge. 'Unsupervized Padawans Should Not Be Here!' Sign was posted somewhere along the area. They just happened to walk past and spit on it. Which in ways was fine by Draven. They had already broke off from the group and commited to the rogue elements.

The thing which was only slightly unexpected was stumbling upon a young woman in lock up. Draven glanced towards Milla.. Then towards the woman. Opening his mouth he began. "We're not.." And interrupted. Draven instinctively whirled and did a quick evaluation of the third wheel tag along. While not taking a combat stance per se as Draven actively tried to avoid violence. It was clear his guard was still shot high solely due to the fact he was certain only Milla and himself had snuck off from the group, and he was assuming at first it was some sort of guard.

It didn't take long though for Draven to begin relaxing. When it was clear it was just another teenager who happened to get caught up in whatever Milla had started putting into motion. In response to the other guy's question Draven simply shrugged his shoulders. "Ask her.. I'm just along for the adventure." Draven expressed as he motioned to Milla Caranthyr Milla Caranthyr deciding it was best to divert the attention and settle into a passive role.

Draven calmed down enough he started to pick up emotions from those around.. His conclusion. "It seems we're all curious to know that answer." He mumbled under his breath mostly to himself now. As he shifted his stances a few times as a means to let off some energy.

Milla eyed the woman in the cell. At first glance she didn't appear to be someone who you'd think would be held by the Jedi, but looks could be deceiving. The young Padawan tilted her head a little too the side when the woman said she had already given all her information to the Masters. She must have thought that they were part of the temple.

These thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of a Jedi, one who actually belonged here. Milla's blue eyes gave him a quick once over. He was around her and Draven Eterena Draven Eterena 's age. Was he assigned to guard the cells? She gave a brief annoyed glance at Draven when he made it seem like it was all Milla's idea. Well...technically it was. Her gaze turned back to Dagos Terrek Dagos Terrek . "The force drew me here. I could feel something unusual, so...I followed it." Sure the answer was vague, but it wasn't a lie.

Just a moment after she spoke another person joined the small group around the door to her cell. All of them looked pretty young and it only took Aren a few additional seconds to figure out these kids probably shouldn't even be here. Confirmation came when the last one came up behind them and asked what they were doing down in the cell block. Even he did not sound like he was supposed to be here either.

Her unspoken question was answered by one of them when he said they were NOT here to interrogate her any further. Letting a sigh of relief, she finally stood up and approached the door. Stopping before she reached the forcefield, she leaned against the wall and looked at the three teens.

"And the Force lead you to find me, it seems."

The former Sith was completely aware of the Force and used it when she worked with technology or if she wanted to get information from the minds of organics. Not actually touching it, she waited to see what the Jedi were going to do.

"Any idea why?"

Directing the question to Milla, her dark-eyed gaze would look directly at the girl.

Slight and subtle as it may have been Dagos saw the boy sneaker tense up as turned and laid eyes on him. A lifetime of training to fight made that kind of thing easier to spot. The tension was gone as quickly as it appeared but there was certainly a part of Dagos that was disappointed. He would of loved to have gotten into some kind of fight with this guy.

"Ask her.. I'm just along for the adventure." the young man told him as he gestured toward the girl sneaker. Dagos was sure she looked familiar but he was also sure he didn’t know her. His mind recalled jumping off of cliffs on Kashyyk.

She shot an annoyed look at her companion before addressing Dagos himself

"The force drew me here. I could feel something unusual, so...I followed it." she said.

Dagos snorted derisively in response to that. He was familiar with people claiming they were guided by the force or that they lived by the will of the force or whatever junk. He had been told a few times himself to ‘give into the force’ or some variation whenever an instructor would bother to try and help him as he struggled. He was sure it was all bantha chit, religious nonsense. Sure he obviously believed in the force, he used it after all but that was it. In his mind the force was a thing a very small portion of people could control but it didn’t control them back.

Dagos turned his attention away from the two sneakers as he was now sure they were a lot less interesting and had very little in common and took a look into the occupied cell.

Whoah. Dagos knew to expect a woman but he wasn’t expecting her. She was young and...cute. Not the type you would expect to be locked in a jedi dungeon.

The caged woman asked the girl sneaker why the force would lead them to her and Dagos snorted again. He turned and moved a couple paces past the cell with his interest in the prisoner waning slightly. Yes, there were certainly interesting things about her but there was now also a thought that she may also believe the same bunk as everyone else and that fact alone hurt her case as someone to hold much hope in when it came to making him feel any better about being back at the temple.

Dagos could think of a ton of practical reasons why they ended up here and none of them had to do with the force, well not entirely. The most likely one he could think of was that if this prisoner had power in the force she most likely manipulated it somehow to draw those two down here and Dagos followed along trying to cure his boredom.

He wondered if the sneaky girl would be smart enough to see the same thing. He was sure he would once again be disappointed.

Draven brushed of Milla's look of annoyance. Though he also had an awareness he'd need to tread a little more lightly about when he directed attention towards her. At the same time he never expressed anything which was not true and probably for the betterment of the scenario. Even if it did hold a fair bit of self motivation.

Draven was a bit more objective at the moment. Unlike some individuals nearby who were a bit lost in the moment. He began to reach out with the force to get a feeling for the environment they were in and investigate into whether or not anything was disturbed. Disturbances usually meant something was interacting with an object or system and would indicate a good moment for the trio to remove themselves from the vicinity. If at any point one of them needed his attention he'd address them accordingly.

Draven was also putting into consideration the ways they could get out of this place. The options were quite limited though if creative enough. Should trouble occur. There was three.. Technically four force users floating about here. He was sure they would figure something out. That or if they did not then they really screwed themselves this round.

Milla kept Dagos Terrek Dagos Terrek in her peripheral for a moment. She could almost feel the distrust radiating off of him. Yet he didn't try making them leave or go get someone of higher rank, maybe he was just as curious as her and Draven Eterena Draven Eterena .

Her attention turned fully to Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade when she asked her question as to why the force would lead them here. "That's hard to say. Maybe curiosity lead us here to escape a boring tour group. That's the more obvious possibility. There are plenty of others though, probably to many to truly name. Who knows, maybe you're a powerful Sith who drew us down here for a more sinister purpose." Milla tilted her head to the side a little as she examined the woman's force signature. Sure it was strong, but it was also scattered in a way. "You don't hide your force signature very well. It..kinda flows from you, sometimes more, sometimes less, all depending on your emotions." She eyed the woman up for a second. This was something she had seen before in newly arrived padawans at the temple. "You really don't know how to control it, do you? Which makes me wonder why someone who doesn't have a full grasp on their force abilities is in a cell in the Jedi temple."

Maybe it was a good thing Aren did not entirely rely on the Force to guide her like so many other people. People like the girl that had first come to find her. She didn't feel it was anything bad or poor, but it wasn't tangible. This was not something she could put her hands on and touch. The Force was just there and she used it when she wanted to. Right now, she chose not to.

While her attention was focused on Milla, she couldn't help but notice the seemingly disinterested teen walk past the group. His attention turned to her for a moment and then went away again after she spoke. It seemed none of them had expected to meet a prisoner being held in these cells. Luckily, for Aren, it wasn't because she was some sort of sociopath or serial murderer. If that were the case, she doubted she would have been held in such a low-security prison.

Dagos was totally mistaken if he thought she had tried to draw the other two down for a visit. In fact, she had done nothing of the sort. Nor had she even tried to use the Force since getting caught. Hardly ever used it while she was on-site in the Temple. In fact, she had only used it once or twice during her encounter with Mathieu Brion Mathieu Brion . Not enough that he ever caught onto her deception.

It was only after she had met a second person that she was discovered and that had brought her to being locked up. Thinking back on the situation, she felt she had done everything properly...yet she had been caught in the end. This was not a good thing for a Sith and she suddenly wondered if these kids had been sent here to discover what she was. She really did not go to any effort to hide her alignment but then again, she really wasn't very far down the dark path.

Listening to the Jedi answer her question was entertaining and Aren lifted an eyebrow slightly.

"Even the Archives master didn't pick up on my ability to use the Force."

Milla would clearly pick up on her surprise. Not answering the unspoken question just yet, she contemplated just what she could say without incriminating herself.

"My Master never told me about keeping it subdued. So there's that. As for control...what do you mean? I control my own abilities just fine!"

A sense of irritation might be felt but the control was there. She didn't lash out except in her tone of voice. There was no spike of desire to use the Force or anything, just her emotion.

"The reason I'm locked up is that I supposedly stole some important information from the Archives."

Her statement was true and nothing in her attitude or through the Force indicated she was lying.
