She was nervous. Terrified. This was the biggest risk she had taken in her life.

But she needed to do this, she wanted to do this. Doing this mission could end the war with the Sith, it could save millions of lives from war in the future. She could end up being the one that finally brought down the Sith and their tyranny. All she had to do was infiltrate and remember who she was. To avoid losing herself while surrounded by the darkness of others, to keep true even when she had to pretend she had abandoned the Jedi, her family and the Light Side of the Force. She was going to stealth her way in and bring the Sith down from within. That was her goal, her mission and she understood the risks, she had seen the toll missions like this had on someone. Even the best Jedi Shadow alive struggled with the consequences that came from missions like this.

Kat wasn't letting that stop her though. She needed to do this, she needed to stop the Sith.

Breathing in deeply, she settled her nerves and stepped off her ship and onto the hangar floor of Jutrand. She had learnt that this was the capital of the Sith Order and if she was truly going to try infiltrating their ranks, she might as well start here. Kat just wasn't sure where to start, she doubted she would get far if she walked right up to the Sith academy and knocked on the door, or if she tried approaching the Emperor or the Empress. Death or fate worse than death were likely waiting there. No, instead she figured, take the approach of a lost soul drinking their sorrows. Which meant finding the best dive bar cantina and starting there. Kat wandered through the streets somewhat aimlessly, taking in the sights of this city and getting the vibes of the planet as it was under Sith rule now.

Entering the cantina, she offered herself a whisky and took a seat at the bar, breathing in deeply as she looked around, taking a sip of her drink once she was served. Curious to see who would dare approach her.

From the back corner of the cantina, laughter could be heard. The voices telling old tales of victory and speed through the Kessel run. "You've got to be kidding me!" A Rodian shouted, a hand over his mouth as he laughed. "You seriously flew like that?" The woman he and his crew were with nodded at the exclamation. "I sure did; it was wild." The Corellian leaned forward and shot back the whiskey in front of her. Her face wrinkled as a fist hit the table hard. "Kerjack, why do you always order cheap shit. You're employed by one of the big Darths on the DC - they pay you well enough to get something above starship oil!" She shouted at the Rodian, and the others laughed with her. Embarrassed, the man shook his head, "That shiet puts hair on your chest Corellian," Allyson laughed, "You know what they say though, Corellians got rocket fuel for blood." Once more, laughter erupted, and more stories continued to be shared. This wouldn't be the first time Allyson had found herself in a crew like this, but it wasn't for fun despite the amount she had.

Her real mission was to determine if the smuggler was double dipping and crossing the Darth he worked for. As much as her joke made sense, she knew the Darth wasn't paying well, he was barely paying her enough. She liked Kerjack more than the Darth, so the Rodian might be able to get away with his double dipping for a couple of months longer. Allyson laughed again, her hand nursing the beer she had poured before the shot. Time away from the Alliance had let the Corellian see outside the utopia they attempted to create. It was exciting, and she found herself enjoying the mercenary work.

She had choices, which Allyson didn't think she'd ever have again.

Taking a sip of her drink, she glanced towards the doorway. A young Echani woman had decided to wander into the seedy cantina full of undesirables. The doe-eyed woman seemed lost, and Allyson chose to watch her and see who she talked to. Attention returned to the stories as Allyson tried to stop the nagging feeling that she should try and tell the woman to leave. Once more, she glanced towards her, but Kerjack followed her sight line this time. "Your type, no?" Allyson looked back at the Rodian and shrugged. "Sometimes." her eyes once more looked towards the woman who was now ordering whiskey.

The action caused her to raise an eyebrow and inspect the woman further. At times like this, she cursed Taeli Raaf for extracting her cybernetic eye. Still, when Allyson looked hard enough, she realized why her gut was pulling her towards the Echani.

It was Kat Decoria.

Alarms rang in the back of Allyson's head. Her first thought wasn't that Kat had been following her or even searching for her - she was worried about her safety deep in Sith territory. Unlike most, Allyson was highly skilled at hiding her force alignment - something that most Force users struggled with. Cursing under her breath, she rolled her shoulders back. "You know, I might as well take my chances, right? Don't wait up for me, boys, a Corellian never misses." Allyson winked as she stood and began the journey to where Kat had parked herself. Several emotions ran through her mind. While she was happy the woman was looking well, she was worried and frustrated to see her on Jutrand.

Allyson came up behind Kat, "You should at least look like you belong here." she started and sat next to Kat. She leaned on the bartop slightly and raised a hand. The bartender here knew her and her order, which arrived when she put her hand down. "Why are you here?" Allyson didn't look at her off-and-on paramour. Some of her wondered if this resulted from that night, a night she had let too much out in the open. She said things she couldn't take back that should have never been said.

Because she knew Kat would be reckless.

"Don't tell me you came lookin' for me."

Taking a sip of the whisky, she winced, it was far from the most enjoyable one she had. Though Kat should have expected a dive bar like this to have low quality whisky, she just couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Though there was a small relief that the more she drank, the more agreeable the flavours would become. It just might take a half a dozen or so with the quality of this one. Her ears pricked as she heard many conversations going on behind her, she had kept her connection to the Force buried, she taken some lessons from Allyson on how to hide herself as well as what she needed to expect when working undercover. Kat had also learned some more on it from taking on operative work and going through protocol to take on this undercover job.

When someone approached, Kat felt her body prepare for anything, if she sensed the movement to a weapon or the click of a blaster then she needed to move quickly. However, all she heard was the voice of Allyson. She blinked several times, it had been some time since she last saw Allyson and watched as the woman she loved sat down next to her. Kat tilted her head and leaned forward on the bar top. Gesturing for a refill of her own drink. Looking over to Allyson, the Jedi Shadow seemed to be doing well, not imprisoned and being tortured which was good to know. She glanced over to the direction where Allyson came from and noted there were several guys watching them. Probably seeing if Allyson would be successful in chatting up Kat.

"Taking my mission one step further." Kat stated vaguely, hinting back that she was here undercover like Kat had mentioned back on Mirial. "Observing wasn't getting me results, figured I might as well join the Sith and go from there." Kat whispered quietly, watching her glass get refilled with the cheap whisky.

She rolled her eyes when Allyson feared that Kat had come looking for her, "I swore to give you the space you need. I love and respect you Allyson. That means letting you be you and not stalking you. Even though it seems the Force wants to keep throwing us together." Kat giggled and gave Allyson a teasing wink. "I can try my luck in finding a way to join the Sith at another bar if you need me to. I don't want to risk your mission." Kat knew Allyson pretty well and figured that she was here undercover or attempting to get some information back to the SIA or Shadows in the GA.
