- Warped Synthetic Kyber Crystal: The lightsaber Vaux collected notably used a warped or dented kyber crystal. While she doesn't know that it's synthetic, she has taken a guess that it results in the energy flaring that the saber's red blade presents. This flaring is a result in the blade being less effective in cutting metals and against other lightsabers, but has the added benefit of causing more burning against fabrics and anyone unlucky enough to be on the receiving end.

A lightsaber Vaux stole took off a dying Sith cultist while on a rescue mission for
Kyra Perl
. Vaux keeps the saber on her, more for show, a trophy, and as a backup just in case. The saber is quite ornate, with an engraved hilt, and possesses an unstable, red blade that flares off energy, hints the nickname she would give the Sith made weapon, "Flare." This flaring is causes by as misformed synthetic kyber crystal that was most likely scavenged for this saber as opposed to created. This instability makes the blade libel to burn skin and fabric, but has the downside of metals being more difficult for the lightsaber to cut through. The saber's Sith origins has also gotten some eyes on Vaux from time to time, but for the most part she has basically cared less about this, while still taking some advice.
