Intent: Base battle droid for Tyran Engineering
Development Thread: If required.
Manufacturer: Tyran Engineering
Model: Storm 1
Affiliation: Mainly Galactic Alliance. Other factions on case-by-case basis.
Modularity: No.
Production: Mass-produced.
Material: Durasteel and duraplast
Classification: Class four
Weight: 55kg
Height: 1.6m
Movement: Bipedal
Armaments: PD-10 Blaster Rifle

Misc. Equipment:
  • Basic navigation system
  • Basic sensor system
  • Basic targeting system
  • Advanced communication system

Strengths:
  • Cheap & Mass Produced - These basic droids were designed to be as cheap as possible, so they could be produced en-mass in a short space of time. Tyran Engineering can produce hundreds of these within a short space of time.

Weaknesses:
  • Basic systems - These Droids were produced to be a base line model, and as such have only the most basic navigation, sensor, and targeting systems, therefore they have low accuracy, and are not efficient in combat situations.
  • Physically unimposing - At a mere 1.6m, these droids are smaller than most, and as such have serious issues with anyone who gets into close combat with them.

Description:
The Storm 1 was the first droid created by Tyran Engineering. As this was the first mass produced droid that was designed by Tyran Engineering, it was deliberately created to be as cheap as possible, and as easy to manufacture and produce as possible. This was achieved by skimping on the combat efficiency of the droid, giving it only the basic combat systems it would need. This did however let Tyran Engineering mass produce 3,000 droids within their first week, to ensure they had a stock available on demand. In combat situations, these droids follow basic instructions, such as take and hold, assault, defend, and require regular overview by military officers.
