Dutch
Character
Location: Silvers Rest, Kashyyyk
They say the force works in strange and mysterious ways, constantly weaving an intricate tapestry of people's fates. That's if you believed such things. As far as Dutch was concerned the force or fate, whichever it may be, dealt him a strange hand indeed. Born on Kamino with the rest of his clone brethren, he was destined to fight the Separatist army in the name of the Republic. A destiny that was short lived as through a series of inexplicable events, he found himself a little over eight hundred years in the future.
Maybe the force did throw unexplained fates at people with little or no reason whatsoever. Regardless, Dutch was here now and attempting to navigate his way through this strange and somewhat overwhelming future....errr... present, whichever it was. There were many things he didn't understand and some he did. The fact that there was no Republic or any large ruling body was still kinda strange. What was more strange was the fact that the CIS was no longer the enemy, or really the same as the one he was trained to fight. That would take some getting used to.
Luckily some things hadn't changed that drastically. Like the fact that no matter what year it was, past or future, some padawans were always late for lessons. A simple truth he still witnessed as the third padawan of the day almost ran into him as they hurried along their way. Sure this generation of Jedi was slightly different from the one he remembered, even if he couldn't directly put a finger on why, it was still nice to find familiarity.
Luckily for him and his men, the Jedi at Silvers Rest had given them a place to set up base until they figured out what to do with themselves. Between the upgrades in new equipment and gear, all the way to ship upgrades, everything had to be relearned. Even his armor felt new, which made him feel like a shiny, even though he wouldn't admit it.
Speaking of learning new things, Dutch had taken it upon himself to join some of the younger Jedi in one of their classes. More specifically, a history class. The subject of the day was what drew him in and one he wouldn't want to miss. A history of the Clone Wars. Dutch had nearly jumped at the opportunity to know exactly what history had to say about it.
Dutch stopped in front of the classroom for a brief second to brace himself. He wasn't exactly sure what to expect, after all he'd never taken a history course with Jedi before. Especially about something that they viewed as the past and he lived what felt like only days before. Gathering his wits, he entered the room.
The room wasn't as large as he expected and very similar to many of the learning rooms he was taught in on Kamino. From how few people were in the room, he judged he was still early. Punctual as always, guess some things don't change. Quietly, he settled into a seat in the back and set his helmet on the desk. This, was going to be an interesting day.
