Strange meetings

Rider left the hanger on the planet of Tatooine. He was walking to meet a business client for his bosses. Looking around he layed eyes in the middle of town on a bar. He sighed brushed off his clothes from the sand walked in. Looking around he found a table in the corner and waited for his collegue

Since Ice had started Shadow Tech Industries, he had been approached by a couple different companies wanting to set up alliances and agreements. So far they were still just being looked at as possibilities. Then a request came in that just seemed to good to pass up. Ice didn't much like having to go to Tatooine to meet the rep. But they indicated it was an offer hard to refuse, so he went.

And what business meeting on Tatooine would be complete without meeting at a bar. He smirked as he caught sight of the establishment. What a strange client, Ice thought to himself. Walking in, he glanced around and soon found his contact. He casually walked over and sat down.

Ice gave a simple nod. "Hello. I believe its you I'm supposed to be meeting with to discuss a possible business deal, correct?"

Rider was sitting down in the corner of the bar sipping a bottle of rum. Setting it down he looked up to see [member="Ice"] . Nodding to the man he said "Sit I believe we have business to discuss. My clients represent a large organization known as the Nexus. It is there goal to create a network of business under that umbrella that will work for mutual gain. Our resources include legal council, arms, smugglers, armmor, ship makers, and pretty much any materials you are in need of we can aquire. All of this is your's for the simple price of joining the Nexus."

Alexandra slowly and silently followed Ice in and sat down with him, though her voice was silent and her appearance fully cloaked as she sat there, watching him with a careful gaze. This man that had called for a meeting and this man that she had come with Ice to meet. She ran a droid company with no actual products to call its own, though she did find that this man was to the point and quick with his words. Her own gaze found Ice and she remained silent while she waited for his response to the man and his offer.

Ice raised an eyebrow at the offer. It was both tantalizing, yet amazingly vague and non committal. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask that you please explain this further. From the way it sounds, you're saying if we need any resources, equipment, parts, or even ships and weapons, we can get them for free just by joining the Nexus. Now I don't actually believe we will get these kind of things for nothing. So can you fill me in on how this all works? What is required of us once we join?"

Pausing a moment, he looked over to his lovely colleague to see if she had anything she'd like to ask. If she didn't, Ice would turn toward the Rep and let him answer.

She shrugged and said nothing, letting him speak as her hands messed with the machine they held, connecting wires and disconnecting them. She would watch this other man though, curious about his answers that would be given to Ice. She wondered just how closely this man would psuh and see how long it would be for Ice to accept or deny him.

Rider smiled charasmaticly, and said "Ahh you are smarter then you look my friend. No we cannot offer resources for free, but as member of The Nexus your company and faction would have large discounts at other companies. Not to mention access to items not on open market. We believe that through the power of unity we can bring growth to every business and faction with a representitive in our Grand Council." Rider turned his head and looked at the new commer and said "May I assume you also represent an interested party? Or perhaps you yourself are said party?"

Ice raised an eyebrow at the insult hidden behind a smile and a few nice words. "How tactful", he thought. He also didn't answer the question directed to Alex. He'd let her answer herself. He did however, ask another one of his own. "So in addition to discounts on items, we can have a member in this Grand Council of yours? Also what would be required of my company, and/or the Shadow Empire, if we were to join? Other than simply signing up that is."

He was trying to get the catch out of this man. So far, it seemed to good to be true. And Ice was always wary of those kind of "deals". To many bad experiences in the past.

Alexandra shook her head as she was referenced. "I am merely here to watch and observe for now, do not mind my being here mister.... what was your name again?" Her had rested in her palm and her eyes scanning over the wall behind the man and curious what he would push for.

Rider grinned and said " The only catch is that you extend the same hand of friendship, and support the other members, as they show you."

Turning to the women he said "Rider.. White Rider. And you?"

A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he listened to the simple response. "That is acceptable to me. However there are a few things that might cause a hitch to this arrangement. You see, some of our items are restricted to people of the Shadow Empire. And considering our company is based out of the Shadow Empire capital world, we cannot sell any of our weapons, armor, or gear to peoples of the One Sith Empire...." He paused and gave him a kind of side ward glance. "Is this still acceptable? Also if we were to sign on, and other SE companies with us," He said gesturing Alex. "is there a central hub that Nexus has for its members to all be represented at? So that members can visit each of the other members in one easy to find location. And in turn would we have our own location there, for STI and possible other SE companies to be represented as well?"

"Alexandra..." She looked at Ice as he motioned to her and tap her hands on the device in her lap now, thinking both on the deal, studying Rider's every emotion and feeling coming from him, and also figuring out what to do to the device next. A hundred variables in each case, thinking on the several hundred different paths that this could branch out from.

Rider raised an eyebrow and said "Well we do have few Sith who make up part of the Nexus, and while we ask that you do not start conflict. It is not absolutly neccesary for you to do business with them. Just be wary of being rude, we at the Nexus are all like brothers and therefore we prohibit infighting even between those of opposing factions"

"And what of my questions about a central hub, and a spot for STI to be represented?" He followed up quickly. So far he hadn't heard anything he didn't like.
