DARK EMPIRE
CORUSCA SECTOR, CORE WORLDS

Standing onboard the bridge of the Obsidian Enforcer, Joseph Torson stared deep into the bright blue spiral that made up the hyperspace tunnel in which his ship was travelling through, his gaze unwavering. The Captain of the Red Right Hand was fresh from the disaster that was the Battle of Coruscant, and despite having had to drag his men from the battlefield to avoid the wrath of the Galactic Alliance after so much heavy fighting, the Grand Admiral had ordered their immediate redeployment elsewhere in the Corusca Sector as part of a grander plan he had conceived shortly after the Imperial defeat. While he remained oblivious to the Grand Admiral's designs, Torson was certain that the Imperial Warlord had some big planned with his mission being a key part of said plan.

"Exiting hyperspace, in three...two...one." the Navigation officer announced. Soon enough the Obsidian Enforcer, flanked by a pair of Corvus-Class Commando Destroyers emerged from hyperspace arriving in proximity of a derelict abandoned deep space deepdock once operated by the now inactive Republic Engineering Corporation, the target of Torson's operation. From what the operative knew, the REC used to be a leading supplier of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and had at one point been at odds with Sularen having blacklisted him decades ago due to some accusations of fraud. Now in the present day, the REC was a ghost having since been replaced with newer faces within the Alliance's Defense industry leaving it's facilities to slowly decay.

As the three Commando Destroyers continued their approach towards the abandoned deepdock station, Torson left the bridge headed for the dorsal hangars where he joined the rest of his man ready to lead the first wave of Red Right Hand Operators that would investigate the station. Before long, a squadron of four HAAGs had left the dorsal hangars of the Obsidian Enforcer headed towards the old space station as they prepared to begin the Imperial Navy's strategic acquisition of what had once served the Galactic Alliance's War Machine.

The Trade Federation Tactical Droid, designation TFD-Typhaon, hummed with anticipation as it began calculating the jump into hyperspace. Its photoreceptors scanned the star-strewn voided before it, assessing the safest route to its destination, the processors whirred as it analyzed the hyperspace coordinates and plotted its course with mechanical precision towards the a derelict abandoned deep space deepdock once owned by the Republic Engineering Corporation.

With a final system's check, the two Lucrehulk Class GH-3201 Cargo Freighters and one Tambor Pattern Lucrehulk Class III Battleship engaged the hyperdrive engines. The stars around the droid stretched and warped, forming swirling streaks of light as they were catapulted into the infinite expanse of hyperspace.

There was a palpable stillness on the bridge, the only disruption being the soft hum of the holographic transmissions as they flickered into existence. The droid crew stood at their stations, their faces bathed in the eerie blue glow of the projections, their expressions a mixture of concentration and anticipation.

"Yes, M'Lord." - Typhaon sat on the command chair, acknowledging the image as it materialized before him. It was none other than the Assistant Viceroy of the Trade Federation, Teegota Tuuk Teegota Tuuk who had personally dispatched the small fleet to the deepdock for examination and potential occupation.

"Captain, I trust that you will be able to complete the mission assigned to you?" Hemborr said through the voice vocabulator, on the pressure suit. "There will be no potential complications to our goal, Viceroy Hemborr. My caculations show minimal resistance to our forceful occupation should the deepdock be occupied by foreigners." After reaching a decision, he responded that the presence of the occupational force aboard the cargo freighters would be sufficient to deter any potential competitors from taking the strategic deepdock.

"See that is does, the Trade Federation will not tolerate failure even from one of our finest tactical droid units." Hemborr acknowledged the fact that Commanding Viceroy Laborr would express dissatisfaction if the deepdock was damaged or made non-functional. Typhaon responded with merely a nod, as the fleet exited hyperspace around the deepdock and the transmission was ceased.

In the cold, silent void of space, the Aegis Brigade followed closely behind the Dark Imperial fleet in the Shadow Hazard. Their ship, a haggard yet functional TIE Reaper, bore the scars of countless battles. Each trooper’s armor was a patchwork of repairs and enhancements, a visual chronicle of their unwavering dedication to the Immortal Emperor. These warriors, hardened by the fires of conflict, saw every loss as an honorable sacrifice for the glory of the Empire.

Inside the dimly lit confines of their ship, the Brigade held a silent vigil. The atmosphere was thick with reverence as they knelt, heads bowed, and hands clasped in prayer to Emperor Palpatine, whom they venerated as the Immortal Emperor. The room pulsed with a solemn energy, each warrior reflecting on the recent losses not with grief, but with a resolute pride.

Agathon Kell, standing at the forefront of his loyal soldiers, exuded an aura of unshakeable conviction. His eyes, cold and unyielding, scanned the faces of his brigade, each one a reflection of his own fervent belief in their cause. The silence was broken only by the occasional hum of the ship’s systems, a reminder of their continued journey and unending mission.

Their recent engagement had been fierce, with many brave souls lost to the void. Yet, this only served to strengthen their resolve. The fallen were honored in this vigil, their spirits believed to be joining the deified Palpatine in eternal service. The troopers’ faces, though masked by their helmets, radiated a shared sense of purpose and unyielding faith.

A brief, sharp signal broke through the silence, indicating that they had dropped out. Agathon activated his commlink, his voice a low, measured tone.

”Aegis Brigade, standing by.” He acknowledged the Obsidian Enforcer, ”We are maintaining position, awaiting your command.”

The connection ended, and Agathon returned his focus to his brigade. The silent vigil continued, their prayers to the Immortal Emperor for the battles yet to come...

After a short journey, the four Gunships would make landfall within one of the deep docks hangars as Red Right Hand Operators began pouring out, unloading technical equipment as they prepared to begin claiming the station. "Alright men, split up. I want the entire station to be surveyed so that we can assess it's current status." Torson ordered. Before long, Torson would venture deep within the station headed for the command center with a squad of Red Right Hand Operators by his side, while other groups of Operators went to secure the other portions of the Station. However as Torson and his men passed through a hallway marked with windows, they saw it. Right behind their Fleet was a trio of Trade Federation Lucrehulks that had just emerged from hyperspace.

A few seconds later, Torson's comms were ringing as he received a call from the Captain of the Obsidian Enforcer. "Uh, sir. We've spotted a trio of Trade Federation Lucrehulks approaching the Station from our rear. What are your orders." the Captain asked. "Yeah i can see that." Torson answered before issuing an order. "Patch me through to them now. I want to know what they are doing here." Shortly afterwards, he had been connected to the lead Lucrehulk spearheading the Trade Federation task force. "This is Captain Torson of Imperial Special Forces to the Trade Federation, you are infringing on an Imperial Operation, state your business." he said.

"Sir, we've also been hailed by the Aegis Brigade" the Captain of the Obsidian Enforcer added. "They have requested for further instructions." the Captain explained. "The Aegis Brigade?" Torson inquired. "A Paramilitary group aligned with the Empire. They seem to revere Darth Vader based on his service as Emperor Palpatine's top enforcer." the Captain further explained. "Tell them to remain on stand-by for more orders." Torson ordered. "We might need their assistance soon." Torson said, still looking at the developing situation outside as the three Corvus-Class Commando Destroyers turned around to face the Trade Federation vessels.

As the two Lucrehulk Class GH-3201 Cargo Freighters and one Tambor Pattern Lucrehulk Class III Battleship dropped out of hyperspace, the endless swirls of light came to a brief and sudden halt as the Trade Federation Task Force had come face to face with other arrivals.

These individuals had arrived with three dedicated warships in the form of the Obsidian Enforcer, which loomed ominously in the distance. In addition to the flagship vessel, there were also two
Corvus-Class Commando Destroyers accompanying it, their design able to throw down a serious amount of firepower.

Although such designs were not able to overcome even the base lucrehulk in direct combat, given their extensive shielding and armored plating. With the modified variants under his command, the battle would be quick and decisive, with just one critical strike enough to defeat the enemy.

"Sir!, an incoming transmissions from the enemy fleet. Patching through now" came the voice of a OOM Pilot Battle Droid, upon receiving the holographic transmissions, a subtle blue radiance surrounded the figure who introduced themselves as Captain Torson from the Imperial Special Forces. They declared their involvement in an Imperial Operation.

The Tactical Droid stood still, barely making any movements or gestures. Its focus was entirely on processing the calculations for a potential Trade Federation Victory in case the situation escalated into a violent confrontation. Its glowing eyes fixed on the holographic display, analyzing every possible outcome and strategizing its next move accordingly. Once the data had been evaluated and organized, Typhaon would proceed to address the individual.

"Our intentions are quite clear, Captain Torson. To asset ownership over the assets of the former Republic Engineering Corporation, including the derelict abandoned deep space deepdock you are trespassing in. As you should be aware, the REC is a member of the Trade Federation of Planets." The Tactical Droid's voice echoed through the holographic projector, emphasizing to the Imperial Operatives that the REC is affiliated with the Trade Federation of Planets, established by Director Gat Tambor. It was made clear that all assets and properties of the organization now belonged to them.

"Our intentions are quite clear, Captain Torson. To asset ownership over the assets of the former Republic Engineering Corporation, including the derelict abandoned deep space deepdock you are trespassing in. As you should be aware, the REC is a member of the Trade Federation of Planets."

For a second, Torson considered his options. On one side he could try to assert the Empire's control over the station, which would potentially bring them into conflict with the Trade Federation. Alternatively, he could stall and call for back-up, which could force the Trade Federation to back down but also cause the situation to further escalate by drawing in the attention of the Galactic Alliance, which went against the purpose of this mission. Regardless, the Empire needed this station for the Grand Admiral's future plans, even if he had gone MIA, but fighting off three Lucrehulks was going to be a tough fight.

Finally Torson made his decision, proceeding to offer his response to the Trade Federation Admiral. "I'm afraid, this station is now property of the Empire. Given the Trade Federation's contract with the Empire, i'd highly suggest you withdraw and not interfere with our operation." Torson answered. Upon offering the response he then proceeded to contact the Obsidian Enforcer once more. "Captain. Send in another Company of Operatives over here and prepare the Droids for combat." Torson said. The Imperial Operative was well aware of the Trade Federation's association with the Empire. If they attacked Torson's forces, then by extension they would be attacking the Empire, which itself could compromise their larger partnership with the Empire.

However, given the sheer geopolitical power of the Trade Federation there was still the slight chance that they'd be willing to attack the Empire regardless of the risk. Nevertheless, Torson wasn't going to take any chances in assuming that the Trade Federation wouldn't be willing to potentially compromise it's relationship with the Empire. As such, the arrival of the additional Company of Soldiers would enable him to further secure the Station and fight off any sort of Trade Federation attack. Thus with the second wave of four HAAGs leaving one of the escorting Commando Destroyers on their way towards the station, Torson braced himself waiting for what response the Trade Federation had to offer.
