Stav Kesh Training Courtyard
Kneeling down upon the ground, I breathed in and out. In through the nose, slowly and gently. Holding the air within my lungs until they felt a sharp pain, and then released slowly through the mouth. I gathered my energies within myself. Meditation is always something I have been attempting to improve upon. Even more since I had discovered my love and talent with Martial arts. Before I had my Oathkeeper, I had my fists. They were weapons of their own right, and so they shall remain.
Waiting in the Stav Kesh Courtyard, I had sent out a couple days ago, a note to others within the order that if they wish to learn more on other martial arts, then I would be more than willing to teach them. There was even a mention of not coming if you were weak of the heart. The training that would be required of the Matukai is rigorous and unrelenting. Yet, should you become triumphant in these forms, then you will come out stronger, and more able to defend yourself, and others. It also was a very good way to teach discipline. One of the many pillars of the Jedi, and before them, the Je'daii.
This is not just some lesson that you can take a day to learn. This is a skill that must be refined over years of practice. Even if I had only just begun, and was quite the fast learner, still had much to do. However, there was no reason not to share the wealth of knowledge that I already had over it, to others within the order. Slowly, from my position, I began to move. Stretching in a very slow and graceful form. My arms extending and bending at various points. Yet the entire time, it seemed as though my frame was put under much stress. My muscles rippled across my body as they were being used fiercely and without adulteration.
The exercise I was performing put massive strain upon the body in a short amount of time. It was like lifting weights, but very slowly, and without the weights. You were pushing against your own bodies limits, and thus were strengthening yourself over time. It reached and pushed you beyond your boundaries when done correctly. I continued to perform this in just my pair of shorts and a tank as I wanted for the students to come.
No weapons were necessary as we wouldn't be going over those any time soon.
