Strength Comes From Within (Open to Je'Daii)

T Y T H O N
Stav Kesh Training Courtyard

Kneeling down upon the ground, I breathed in and out. In through the nose, slowly and gently. Holding the air within my lungs until they felt a sharp pain, and then released slowly through the mouth. I gathered my energies within myself. Meditation is always something I have been attempting to improve upon. Even more since I had discovered my love and talent with Martial arts. Before I had my Oathkeeper, I had my fists. They were weapons of their own right, and so they shall remain.

Waiting in the Stav Kesh Courtyard, I had sent out a couple days ago, a note to others within the order that if they wish to learn more on other martial arts, then I would be more than willing to teach them. There was even a mention of not coming if you were weak of the heart. The training that would be required of the Matukai is rigorous and unrelenting. Yet, should you become triumphant in these forms, then you will come out stronger, and more able to defend yourself, and others. It also was a very good way to teach discipline. One of the many pillars of the Jedi, and before them, the Je'daii.

This is not just some lesson that you can take a day to learn. This is a skill that must be refined over years of practice. Even if I had only just begun, and was quite the fast learner, still had much to do. However, there was no reason not to share the wealth of knowledge that I already had over it, to others within the order. Slowly, from my position, I began to move. Stretching in a very slow and graceful form. My arms extending and bending at various points. Yet the entire time, it seemed as though my frame was put under much stress. My muscles rippled across my body as they were being used fiercely and without adulteration.

The exercise I was performing put massive strain upon the body in a short amount of time. It was like lifting weights, but very slowly, and without the weights. You were pushing against your own bodies limits, and thus were strengthening yourself over time. It reached and pushed you beyond your boundaries when done correctly. I continued to perform this in just my pair of shorts and a tank as I wanted for the students to come.

No weapons were necessary as we wouldn't be going over those any time soon.

Tython.

Another world that Caedyn had been introduced to since his leave of Commenor and the family that loved him so; his life now was spent in the company of his Master, [member="Asha Hex"] and the Order of the Je'daii. His Master followed the path of Qigong Kesh, the ways of the Force for which Caedyn had adopted as his secondary focus in order to appropriately respect his mentor and follow within her footsteps. Stav Kesh however was to become his primary focus, a path of self discipline in which Caedyn could take upon himself to challenge and make his own.

For the most part, he hadn't had a great deal of time to become familiar with Tython but instead spent most of his time upon his Master's Starship known as "The Prophet" or otherwise residing within the Temple of Qigong Kesh itself, situated upon the quiet green world of Svivren. Today however, despite not entirely knowing the layout of the grand Temple, Caedyn had come prepared for the training that he was to receive ahead. His attire had been something that he had worked upon himself with noght but excess time on his hands in the initial days of finding his feet within the Order. His father had taught him the usefulness of tinkering with things like clothing and craftsmanship, in the quiet of his own time, he was slowly beginning to find some finesse in his efforts and today he wore one such piece that he had finally felt happy with.

The Robe's fit him perfectly, held down around the torso by various leather straps and the belt tightened around his waist, the allowed no restriction in his arms nor twisting and turning at the mid-section yet his tunic flowed freely below his waist and his leggings loose to capitalize on mobility. He had done his homework, martial arts contained a great need for freedom in movement, agility and stamina. His wrists and footware had been weighted down some, that in itself was something he found a little daunting and yet had done so for good reason, the discipline and conditioning of his body and mind, a burden that he would learn to conquer like many others if he was to succeed in the Order.

Approaching [member="Ignis Imura"]'s location from the back, having left the primary structure to step out into the calming winds that coursed throughout the great mountain, Caedyn was excited to begin his first lesson in the path of Stav Kesh, speaking up in order to announce himself and acknowledge his soon-to-be tutor. "Hello Master..." He would pause, allowing time for Ignis to turn and look upon the lad before bowing his head in humbled respect, "I am Caedyn, I've come to learn from you if you would let me...".

Tython

Rhaeon was beginning to progress through his new life as a Jed'aii, he had been very engaged with the order , He had experienced his first crystal gathering and managed to be successful . He had not yet managed the final step in creating his lightsaber but was still wondering what help he could be of to the Jed'aii. He had wanted to quickly learn more and lucky enough a message had been sent by
[member="Ignis Imura"], He was aiding members in a new technique in martial arts.

He was a Warrior through and through that was clear ,but this order had warriors of a different kind. He was wondering how he would fit in to all of this. He was still in appearance the same person when he left his homeworld but meeting the people that he did such as his master Jyn changed him for the better. He just had to try and show restraint when his temper would rise.

He had reached Tython in search of learning the new fighting style; He only knew the marital arts of echani passed from his mother to him he never knew another master to teach him , maybe this experience would be helpful add to his character, he needed to grow stronger learn more and if this is the way to do it he wouldn't go back on it.. He laughed when he relayed the message in his head "Weak of Heart" He laughed unaware of what the training had in store for him

He would prove that he was up for the challenge not wanting to look bad for his masters sake .When entering a court yard he was just simply in awe standing there staring at the structure and how open it was. Then he noticed it a man, had stuck out sitting in the middle of it all looking to be quite calm , Rhaeon knew it had to be ignis he started walking towards him but he noticed another ,a boy ,close to the same age as him but a bit younger wearing robes . He looked to be here for the same reason as him to train . Wondering sooner or later if the both of them would have to spar, this got him excited waiting to show what he's had learnt up til now.

"The names Rhaeon what's yours?" he said to the boy then swiftly looking over to Ignis he said bluntly "I got a message saying you'll teach me when do we start"

Sahna made her way towards the courtyard.

It was the first time she'd been to Tython, and she'd honestly lost track of time. So now, she hurried towards it, quickening her steps. It would not do for Ignis's own student to be late for a training class he was teaching. Even though it was not something explicitly for her, but rather something for anyone to learn... by now she figured everyone knew he was her teacher. She hadn't wanted to give him a bad name by appearing to be lazy or show up late.

So it was with a grimace of self-scolding that Sahna emerged onto the courtyard.

She spied her teacher first, performing an exercise at the front of the courtyard. Pausing to catch her breath, Sahna shed her robe and stepped out onto the stone in just a short-sleeved tunic and tight, comfortable pants. Behind Ignis, she saw a young man she hadn't met yet. He was young, maybe a few years younger than Sahna. But he looked eager to learn.

As she took a few more steps she saw the other student that had chosen to attend. At over six feet, he towered over Sahna, and she kept herself at something of a distance. He was speaking to the younger ones, Sahna had arrived just in time to catch his name. Rhaeon. She whispered it to herself a few times to commit it to memory. Sidling up towards the back of the courtyard, the girl stood still for a moment. She sighed. It was in her nature to hide, to steal away into the shadows and practice from behind everyone else. But she was learning, albeit slowly, that there was another way.

Taking the smallest of steps forward, she spoke, lifting her hands to her montrals to stroke them nervously as she did.

"Rhaeon, was it?" She began timidly, "I'm Sahna."

She wasn't a trogruta of many words, that was for sure.

Continuing to perform the movements, My limbs would stretch out and reach in front of me as a student came up behind me. Speaking of the formal title of Master at me, and asking if this would be the place to be. Slowly I began to finish the movements as another student seemed to chime in. The voice was a little more heavier than the first, but the introduction to him as well was welcome. I was finishing my moments. Eventually coming to stand up straight as I could feel the presence of Sahna coming closer.

I am glad that she did come. It showed she was more than willing to learn from me. Even if it was about martial arts, this was something that I needed to teach her at some point. She seemed to refuse to carry any weapons with her, and while she would be making her lightsaber soon, until then, she needed to know how to defend herself without a weapon. Turning around to see all three of them so far, I bowed just enough to show respect towards all three of them.

"Caedyn, Rhaeon, Sahna. Thank you for coming. We may have more join us, but until then, we can start with introductions."

I reached over with my hand to my right. A small blue towel flew into my hands from a bag that sat a ways away. Flopping over into my hand, I rubbed the sweat from my brow and my shoulders. I was already breathing fairly heavily as the form I was using was the most advanced of the Tun'Kanta. I rolled my head a bit before introducing myself to everyone. As well as Sahna.

"I am Ignis Imura. Steward of Vur Tepe, and today, your teacher in Martial arts. Beside you is Sahna. She is my student. Caedyn. You must be the boy who was taken under Jyn and Asha. Glad to see you here. Rhaeon, you must be new. I have not heard of you. Glad to see you here none-the-less."

Indicating each of them, on their own, I did spirit a small message of telepathy to Sahna. She wouldn't feel alarmed as I was gentle and soft in my delivery.

"Thank you for coming."

Giving them all a second to introduce themselves to one another, I took a moment to catch my breath and see if we had any stragglers. It would also get them used to one another. Because this could take quite some time if done incorrectly.

Caedyn's gaze was taken by that of [member="Kid Starburn"] though this was the first time they had met. His head tilted a little as the older boy seemed to speak with a bit more confidence than was expected though it was too met with a smile none the less as the younger lad looked up at him and offered a slight wave, "Hi Rhaeon, I'm Caedyn..." His words drifted a little as the second person closer to their age approached and spoke up, [member="Sahna Te"] of whom Caedyn had seen once before during the gathering and hunt for the lightsaber crystals back on Aurum though they hadn't been introduced nor spoken to one another as of yet. Soon offering her a wave too, he grinned a little sheepishly before flinching at the voice of their soon to be tutor, causing him to turn swiftly in his place that he might pay attention to [member="Ignis Imura"].

Frankly, Cae had no idea who this Jyn person was, yet [member="Asha Hex"]'s name influenced a grin to come over him and he nodded quickly at her being mentioned. If this man knew that Cae was training with Asha then it meant that Asha must have been talking about it. Fidgeting a little with his hands laced at his front, he tilted his head ever so slightly as the question soon posed itself on the forefront of his mind 'did she say good things? Or was he not doing well enough compared to what she might have expected of him'. The moment of anxiety caused him to chew on the inside of his cheek a little.

Everything was all still so new to the lad, every day brought about a bunch of new faces and names to remember, new places and potential worlds to visit. When he had first left home, Caedyn had guessed that they would be heading to one solitary location to train and basically live at, yet the Je'daii seemed to have a lot of different places dotted about the galaxy, or at-least this portion of the galaxy which frankly all seemed so much larger to the youth's imagination. Before now, there had only been one world that he had seen and stood upon his entire life. Getting out and exploring the galaxy, learning so much and being expected to keep up still seemed so daunting by comparison.

Hopefully he was doing it all the right way though. His father knew his Master before Cae had begun to train under her, they had met on Svivren and he had helped to restore the current temple of silence or something to that end on the green world that Asha seemed to favor for the most part. At times he found himself wondering how much contact they still had; was she relaying his progress to his father regularly or had he been shut out completely. Asha had suggested he could call them at any time and visit had he the desire though as of yet that hadn't happened. Truth be told, before he returned home, he wanted to be able to bring something back with him, proof that he was working hard and doing well within the Je'daii Order.

Rhaeon looking over to his new fellow classmates [member="Sahna Te"] and [member="Caedyn Arenais"] , Looks could be deceiving but by the way of it they seemed to be novice same as him in the order . Noticing he stuck out most within their little group, continuing to still wear His echani armor he had left his world with This was none the less just a small hint at his culture making it more present as to why he showed up there to learn more fighting forms. While the others wore the formal robes of the je'daii making them seem more devoted then he was, The Je'daii had given him his new life and he had to show some respect.

The mentioning of Jyn from [member="Ignis Imura"] had left him remembering he hadn't even yet to begin any of his training with her , this would technically be his first lesson. If he was to better improve himself, he would have to use all of his known skills together. Just the slight thought of failing the training left him with uneasiness and by the look of it he wasn't the only one feeling it . The boy Caedyn and the girl Sahna seemed to let off a bit of angst a normal reaction from beginners such as we , this was ever so present in Rhaeon when starting to scratch his head ,doing anything to distract him from his nerves.

He did want to better know these people he had just met if they were to be learning under one master it would be better to get to know one another. To better project his raspy voice, he coughed in his hand so they could hear him a bit better .
"Its nice to meet you all , I hope we could be good friends here ya know , tell me a bit about you guys and gal"
and with that he smiled showing a bit of teeth showing he was welcoming any type of interaction.

While waiting for responses , he was also noticing the teacher ignis and how the strain from the fighting style had left him a bit exasperated . Seeing this type of challenge had made him even more eager to get on with sparring.

Thasiktux would suddenly appear out of nowhere on the field, with a blaster on his belt and his lightsaber hilt in his hand. He'd be wearing his new armorweave cloak and his phrik laced gloves would be visible to all.

"I assume we're all ready for some fighting? Because that's what I've been looking for for months," he'd say, grinning in a way that would make him look impiously menacing.

Cecilia was very late to Ignis's training. She had heard that he was holding a training in some sort of hand to hand combat. Recent events involving single combat with a Sith assassin in a tournament, more specifically, her losing her weapon and ending up in hand to hand combat, a bout which she decisively lost, had once again highlighted a very large hole in Cecilia's combat capabilities. Really, thinking about it, she had no skill in anything besides saber-saber combat. A skill which she had yet to use, though she now had at least acquired a saber. Well a crystal for a saber at least. Actually two. Her original crystal had been broken in two, but it seemed that both crystals would still function normally. She still had not completed construction of a saber, so she didn't yet know.

Cecilia sprinted past the entry of the Stav Kesh temple, announcing to anyone in her vicinity her presence as her field boots produced the sound of a heavy rock being dropped on soft ground. It was quite a satisfying sound in yer opinion. Her light combat robes kept her cool as she continued her panicked dash to the courtyard. From what little she had seen of Ignis, she was still not certain that he possessed actual emotions, but he would still doubtless be displeased. She finally reached the door of the courtyard. Pausing for a second to catch her breath, she pushed the doors open, and seeing everyone already more or less assembled, she quickly rushed to where they were, just in time to hear one of the guys assembled to ask who they all were. This was good. She knew no one here besides ignis
"Gals" She corrected, smiling. "I'm Cecilia Wissen, Je'daii for two months now. Nice to meet you all!"

See? Other people aren't so bad.

Sahna smiled at the two other apprentices. Presently, a voice sounded in her mind. Ignis's. She glanced away from the two, seeking to meet her teacher's eyes. The togruta bowed her head, offering him a soft, but genuine smile. She didn't need to send him a telepathic response, her answer was in her eyes,

Any time.

She was pulled from the moment when a smallish figure approached them from the field. She'd seen Jawas occasionally during her life, but never one that spoke basic... or wielded a lightsaber. The girl bit her lip, her eyes falling to the hilt. She'd been here for some time now, was she falling behind? How long should she wait before building a lightsaber of her own?

She was pulled from her thoughts as the newcomer spoke, mentioning fighting. Her eyes still on his lightsaber, her gaze moving up to the little man's wild grin. Sahna felt her feet take a step backwards from him, before she fully realised she was doing so. She flicked her gaze back to the other students, and then Ignis. Were they really supposed to be armed, today?

The sound of boots pounding the ground tore her attention away and she glanced up as they paused for a moment before a human woman approached through the doors. She greeted the group, giving her name as she approached. Sahna smiled at her, burying the pang of envy at that beautiful brown hair.

"Cecilia," She repeated, committing the name to memory, "I'm Sahna. It's uh... nice to meet you too."

As ever, her voice was soft and timid, hopefully not so that she wouldn't be heard... hopefully.

Standing there, I could see and hear as all the others began to join us. At the mention of Caedyn, he was lighter in smile, but then changed to curiosity and confusion. Even nervousness. I could feel all of these emotions and more from my connection to force empathy and emotions. I almost lived and thrived off of them. I am sure there is some way I could learn to use my own, and other's emotions to become stronger, but that was a skill I needed to learn at a later date. Sahna's expression was touching. Knowing that she was here gave me some relief and comfort. Knowing that I wouldn't be alone in meeting new people. Following behind her was Cecilia, and Thasiktux. Both newer members to the Je'daii order. Having personally seen the Jawa to the Temple, it was nice to see him getting used to us and how we operated.

Continuing to wipe my brow one final time, I wrapped the towel around my neck and held both ends with my hands. As everyone seemed to get used to one another for a moment, I waited a second more before my booming voice spoke over them all.

"Welcome all. Glad to see we got a few more members. Enough to start at least."

Looking over to the Jawa, I did notice he was wearing the armor. He seemed to be wearing it just as he normally was when we first met. However, I didn't see the need for the lightsaber. Matukai weren't known for using them. However, it could just be a force of habit. Much like how my own sword, Oathkeeper, was leaning up against the bag off to the side. Looking over the group, I got an estimate for who will be facing who. Trying to get a good idea of who would be well teamed up together.

"So, The first thing we are going to work on is called Kinetic linking. Let me show you."

There were various dummies and even droids that had synthetic flesh upon them for us to use. I called over one of the droids with a wave of my hand. The frame walked over and stood still. Not moving at all. Standing up to it, I took a stance with my hands raised. However, instead of fists, they were in a C shape. Ready to grab, punch, or to smack away attacks. Looking over to the students, I continued.

"As many people think with Martial arts, is punching."

I then slowly moved my hand forward in a fist as though I were punching the dummy droid.

"However, what many do not know is how to punch correctly. You don't hit with your knuckles. You hit with the face of your fist. Imaging wearing rings on your fingers. You want the ring to hit the person. Not your knuckle."

I then showed a mock punch upon the droid. Hitting it hard enough to send it stumbling back two steps. Moving back forward to its original spot, I continued.

"The second part, is throwing a fast punch, like I just did, or throwing a heavy punch. To get more power behind your fist, you need to perform kinetic linking. Most punches are performed with the tricep, deltoid, and trapizious. In essense, your upper arm. Kinetic linking uses your entire muscle frame, and structure."

Sizing up the droid, I then gathered up my strength. Lashing out with a blur of movement that was a fist. Slamming hard into the droids chest. Sending him stumbling back and falling down to slide almost two meters from me. While none of the students would be able to match this strength at the moment, if they trained, they one day could. I moved back up to face the students. They could see the droid as it stood would reside a massive dent in it's chest.

"Even though I move the same distance, and didn't wind up some massive swing. I hit much more powerfully than the first one. That is what Kinetic linking does. It combines the might of your entire body into your fist. Its not to do anything with the force. Its from the pure might of your own body. Moving your step forward, you link its strength into your thighs, you twist your hips with the punch, and use all of your chest, stomach and back to throw the punch. Sahna, and Cecilia, partner up and grab one dummy. Take turns. Rhaeon, and Thasiktux do the same. Caedyn. You are with me. We will use this droid here."

Indicating to do as I asked, I pointed over to the dummy droids that they could use. I then indicated for Caedyn to come over and follow me. Taking our own out of the way so that everyone had plenty of room to work.

"Alright. Now, from what I showed you, I want you to try it out, and hit him as hard as you can."

I then took one second to yell over the distance of the students.

"I will be visiting you to make sure you are all doing well. Practice in the mean time."

Training against droids seemed like a strange concept of practice to Caedyn, from what he knew about droids most of them were encased in metal of some sort and generally hurt when they were kicked or hit out of frustration. Watching [member="Ignis Imura"] however seemed to combat this past life lesson, the man hardly stepping forward very far as his hand took to the face of the droids breastplate and threw the humanoid contraption stumbling backwards from his first strike. This alone caused the boys eyes to widen in alarm, 'how does that not hurt him...' he wondered to himself, let alone feeling sorry for the droid who seemed mostly unphased.

Shortly thereafter, Ignis would produce a second example, speaking about something called kinetic linking. He explained that this meant using all aspects of your body even though you were simply trying to hit something with your fist. While he hadn't moved all that much the first time around, this time he seemed to pace himself, stepping in once more as his hand struck out yet twisting at the waist to carry his momentum around with him and slam into the front of the droid once again, the flat of his fist pushing through the droids frame and denting it inwards in the second before the poor thing was taken off of it's feet and hurled several meters to come crashing down into the stone floor of Stav Kesh's training grounds.

Looking to the other students nearby, he wondered if he was the only one feeling suddenly wary about breaking his hand against the thing. Soon enough they'd all be paired into groups, something that only heightened his sudden anxiety though somehow fortunately found himself being paired with perhaps the only one of them that really knew what he was doing, Caedyn nodded a little sheepishly, moving to distance himself from the others and following Master Imura to their designated target of suffering...-Caedyn's more so than the droids, in his mind.

I want you to try it out, and hit him as hard as you can...

Caedyn's gaze lifted to look up at the man, staring somewhat blankly at him with great uncertainty. He soon explained that he'd go around and visit each one of them, the lad not being able to keep himself from muttering under his breath, "You'll be visiting me in hospital I think...", the words came very quietly, partly due to his lack of confidence though so too out of not wanting to get into any trouble for his smart assery.

[member="Ignis Imura"] | [member="Sahna Te"] | [member="Kid Starburn"] | [member="Cecilia Wissen"]

The group of three then quickly became a group of five, The first of the newcomers being a jawa who's presence would still have stayed unnoticed if not for him speaking up , it sounded that he was as keen on sparring as he was , A second other appeared for the training named Cecillia ,he Snickered a bit when she had corrected him on the amount of females now present in the group .
"New additions to the group , nice to meet you as well "

Rhaeon intently listening to the detailed lesson on punching given by the instructor, "Kinectic Linking" A new principle that more or less used basic punching but not just by applying a persons arms but the entire body structure as a whole. This was generally informative ,mostly because his style of fighting needed to be reworked, it mainly focused on stamina not so much strength as a whole, The more punches you can get in would rival that of slow but blunt strength he thought.
And then in a flash Ignis fist crashed into the droids chest, momentum from the hit sending it farther then he had expected, This left him in awe muttering words of disbelief .But witnessing what the instructor just did made him want to master and hone this technique. The idea of using dummy droids was unfulfilling and he's only ever practiced with people , droids just lacked the authenticity and grit he was used to.
When hearing who he would be paired up with , He unattached the hilt to his sword tossing it to the side beginning to walk over to one of the dummies , He shifted his body to the form of basic echani combat motions , while doing so positioned his body as mentioned also twisting his hips , using all of his chest, stomach and back. He began bringing his arm back and had landed a hit dead center in the collar of the droid, making it loudly drop to the floor

Kinetic linking.

Sahna listened as Ignis began to explain the technique, standing before the dummy droid. Even though she knew it was coming, the Togruta squeaked in surprise as he punched it. Blushing, the girl lowered her head and bit her lip, chastising herself for making a sound.

She watched as the droid returned to its original position and her teacher went on to explain the intricacies of the technique, getting ready to demonstrate. She knew another punch was coming. Sahna steeled herself, watching intently.

Ignis punched the droid, it went flying.

Sahna yelped.

Again, she scowled at herself, her cheeks burning at the involuntary sound. Shoving her embarrassment aside, the girl forced herself to focus on what he said. He called Caedyn up to the droid, to practice on it, telling the rest to practice where they were.

The Togruta drew in a deep breath, slowly releasing it as she recalled everything she’d just heard. She allowed everyone else to fade away from her vision, focusing solely on the air right in front of her. Don’t hit with your knuckles. Hit with the face of your fist. She curled her hand into a fist, slowly moving it along the path of a punch. Kinetic linking uses your entire muscle frame and structure. She felt her entire body move as she slowly practiced,

When she felt she was ready, Sahna drew in another breath, and punched. She felt the force rippling through her slight frame, but there was not as much power in her fist as she had expected. She grimaced, and tried again, and again. The girl was not built for this sort of physical combat, but didn’t stop her from continuing to practice.

Cecilia Bowed to [member="Sahna Te"] in greeting. She had seen the Togruta during the gathering, but hadn't done much more than noticed her. They watched Ignis demonstrate the technique, Sahna occasionally imitating a mouse in a very cute and amusing faction. Ignis then divided them into groups, Cecilia ending up paired with Sahna, which she was happy with. So far she had at least started talking with the girl. And she was very cute. Cecilia and she walked over to one of the dummies, and Sahna attempted to do what Ignis had done, failing. After watching her for a few times, Cecilia stopped her.

"Wait a sec, okay? Don't hurt yourself. You're not supposed to use the force for now, okay? I noticed you were doing that. Just do it slowly like you were doing to practice, then just faster. You might even want to start slow, and then keep going faster and faster." Cecilia had been mentally running over the technique in her head and had slipped into a state of slight meditation. Her heightened force sense had picked up the Force movement in Sahna, and she had concluded that she had been trying to use the Force in the exercise.

"Because it increases your speed and power, it'll probably be easier doing it correctly without using the Force anyways. Then when we already know how to do it, I presume we'll start integrating the force into it. Can I try?"

Presumably, Cecilia switched with Bambi and attempted the same technique, though every time she either failed to use all of her body, or failed to hit the dummy with the right part of her fist. After a particularly painful attempt that resulted from only her right index finger's knuckle making contact, she turned to Sahna.

"Your turn!" She said laughing, shaking her hand as she stepped back.

Seeing that the other students among their group all appeared to be ready and willing to take to the training exercise, Caedyn's gaze lept back to that of [member="Ignis Imura"], realizing that the Je'daii Master beside him was likely waiting upon the lad to perform before moving on to the rest of the group. Caedyn was by no means a violent lad, though neither was he afraid to play rough, he simply struggled with his general anxiety around peoples until he had come to close that personal space where they might get to know one another, that he might feel comfortable enough to be himself. Today however, was all about training and as much as he wanted to make friends, he also knew that in the back of his mind, his Master [member="Asha Hex"] would likely end up inquiring about the lesson and how well he might have done...-Or not done.

Right handed, Caedyn took into a stance where his left foot would be put forward, his left shoulder facing the droid while his right hand would curl into a ball and lift to the height of his waist in preparation for what was probably going to be one helluva clumsy strike. Still, he had seen his Father training before and had play fought with his sister frequently enough to know how to bruise an arm or two, the droid at-least wasn't going to take from this lesson, any pain given it didn't really have feelings.

Settling himself, the lad took a moment to inhale, his eyes closing as he sought to let go of his emotions, his anxiety frequently getting the best of him yet lately Master Hex had been encouraging him to meditate in the hope of alleviating the boy of his more impulsive behaviors. After a moment of silence, his eyes would open once more, turning to focus on the droid and not allowing a moment for any further doubt to cloud his mind, he moved to step in, his right foot passing his left whilst his body would turn in at the waist and his right shoulder bringing his arm to bear out at the droid's body, his fist connecting with the breast-plate of the target with the flat of his hand as they were shown.

What resulted from his efforts were a sudden and heavy thud of his fist connecting with the android, the metal casing not denting as it had from that of Master Imura's strike yet his punch had been swift and concise, Caedyn's eyes not leaving the target for which he had hit dead center and only while stepping back did he turn to glance around him, trying to compare his strike to those of the others, wondering how he did in comparison.

I took a step back from Caedyn. His question was unnecessary in my mind. The reason why I chose droids for them to practice on instead of some dummy, or a straw scarecrow, is the metal was more resistant to moving. Should a student be able to force a droid down to the ground, or even knock it out of their own stances, then anything weaker would tumble. While I did not voice this, I did pay attention to the students who practiced. Sahna, my own apprentice attempted to perform the actions I had asked. She was punching, but not quite getting the kinetic linking down. She wasn't throwing her back into it. While she did twist, her back and some of her legs weren't linking.

Cecilia came in. Attempting herself. She kept punching the droid with her knuckles. People always thought that using the bone would cause more damage, when that is not true. In fact, quite the opposite. It caused you more pain, and thus made you throw strikes much more softly because you know that it will hurt. Overcoming pain in a fight is a task many people had to get over. Hence why some men in the field when injured would completely back off when they could otherwise fight through the pain. Cecilia had hit herself too hard and backed up giving Sahna another try. However, Caedyn looked at me again. Nodding my head to him, I allowed him to try.

He began to meditate as Rhaeon came in. His punch landed squarely and smacked the droid to the ground. While it returned to the same position as before, I now understood who the young man was. Echani. They were trained to fight from an early age if they so chose. It was through their training and usage of their martial arts that some non-force users could get minor forms of precognition, or battle sense. A feat that was rarely ever heard of. Still, I had taken notice of the man's talents. Maybe I could give him a few lessons ahead of time due to his already advanced placement with martial arts.

Caedyn's slam brought me back to him. Watching him perform it just at the side of my vision, I did see he hit it fine. No broken bones and no real pain. Placing a hand in front of him as he looked to the other students, I shook my head after grabbing his attention.

"Do not worry about them. Focus on your own task. Comparing yourself to them right now will do nothing but prevent you from furthering yourself."

Pointing to the droid again, I then took a stance right next to him.

"You need to make sure you bend your knees a little. Keeping them locked will prevent you from moving, or even attacking with your legs. Keep your arms up in front of your chest. Hands should be right around the height of your heart. Keep this stance when you try it again. I will be back after checking the other students. Remember, focus on your own task. Watching others will not improve your own self."

Walking past him, I nodded to continue. Taking my attention to Rhaeon, I reached him after he had likely struck the droid a few more times. Either way, I walked up to him, and began to speak.

"You did good for your first try. However, do less of a wined up. That will show your opponent you are attempting to attack them with that fist. Try again, this time, go straight from your chest. Kinetic linking allows for less energy to be used, while still providing the same, or even more force than a punch that is wound up."

Indicating for him to do so, I quickly looked over to the girls.

"Keep going. I will be with you in a moment."

Sahna let out a frustrated sigh.

She just wanted to slip away, to take her failure and curl up in her quarters to hide with it. Perhaps if there had been more students, if the crowd was a little larger, she’d have managed it. But as it was, she would be noticed. So, she forced herself to draw in another deep breath and try again.

Then she heard a voice.

It was Cecilia. The girl had stepped towards her, stopping her. Sahna went still, dropping her head, her cheeks burning. She was right, Sahna was so slight and physically lacking, it was almost habitual now to channel the force into her strikes. She bit her lip, dropping her gaze to the ground.

“Um… right, thanks.” She mumbled, her voice tiny and quiet. Cecilia asked if she could try, and Sahna stepped back, making herself as tiny and invisible as possible.

“Of course.” Came the soft, quivering words.

She stepped back and watched as Cecilia made an attempt of her own. The girl struck once, twice, thrice. After the last attempt, her turned back to Sahna, shaking her hand as if she’d hurt it. The togruta’s attention snapped to the girl’s hand, and reached up, seeking to touch it gently,

“That looked like it hurt, are you alright?” She asked.

Okay so maybe she was looking to tend Cecilia’s bruise because she felt she was better at that than this kinetic linking. Her concern was still genuine. If Cecilia let her, she’d gently take the girl’s hand, holding it softly in her own, inspecting the bruise. She doubted she’d have the time to practice channelling a little force into it to heal it before being caught out for not practicing, but that didn’t stop her from taking a moment to try.

He listened to the quick tips from teacher , "Yeah i'll try and do that " he said agreeing with the mistakes that Ignis pointed out.

He hadn't noticed how much force he was throwing into his punch from before. Looking over to see the aftermath of his hit only to see a small nick in the droids plating. He wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome , looking at his knuckles to see the faint red mark across them. He had always put a lot of power in his swings, but for this lesson it did not focus strictly on power but the speed of a strike. Something he knew needed to be touched on.

Still with energy he picked up the fallen droid dummy positioning it as before and began to fix his stance. But had stopped midway hearing the pained sighs of some of the other students around him. He knew , he was to focus on his training but helping others was just in his nature. He first looked over to the teen Caedyn who looked unsure of his actions . Having known of that feeling before ,he wanted to encourage the kid to want to be better , he tried whispering to get his attention.

"Hey psst Caedyn it's alright , its not a competition just breath in relax and hit you'll get the hang of it, ..try not to think bad of yourself ya know "

then quickly looked over to the girls Cecilia and Sahna. One had the real drive of a fighter while the other had heart but seemed to want to slink away. they were polar opposites but both of them needed to learn from the other .

" Psst Girls over here , Sahna try not to freeze up your new at this.. i'm guessing but there's no judgement here we're all learning if you really focus I know you'll do well.. Cecilia you've got a fire to you , i see it but also ya gotta have some restraint , you don't wanna risk the whole hand next time"

He smirked and laughed, returning back to his training , aiming at the droid but this time swiftly punching from his chest. feeling the blow connect he felt the difference the dummy had taken the hit and was still standing but now the light hit made another mark next to the one he made before.
