During missions, he is often called upon by his leader to lay down either suppressing or covering fire, along with the help of two other standard Republic military soldiers. Equipped with his SR4 light machine gun version, he will always be nearby his squad, unleashing volley after volley of blaster bolts upon their enemies. His armor, which is made of durasteel like the rest, is of a medium grade and weight, offering some blaster resistance and mobility. His movement is drastically slower compared to the leader. Occasionally the young soldier will switch to his XS-09, only for long distance and one shot targets.

Though it is no where near beskar, it was the best durasteel armor they could get their hands on. It is extremely heavy, and does not offer a lot of mobility, for the heavy gunner is usually in one place. Mahrik utilizes his PLX-1 in battle against vehicles, and ground soldiers if need be. He keeps a Striker projectile pistol his hip holster, which he uses in close quarter fire fights. He is accompanied by two standard Republic military soldiers, who offer extra protection if Viktor is unavailable.
