Stronger Together (Anyone can join just no fighting)

"There waiting for you downstairs Chancellor" Many had gathered from all edges of the known galaxy to see the historic signing of The Republic constitution. It had taken a great deal of planning to negotiate but the truth of the matter was that events of the galaxy had made many recognize the need for the Republic. Lux had been a Senator of the New Republic and had watched it fall he knew full well that if he were going to maintain this incarnation of the Republic he would need to use all of his talents to build a team that could be trusted and stand together when things got tough.

"I know. I'm just putting the finishing touches on my speech, you know I'm trying to convey two very different messages. I need convince people that I'm a strong and stable leader acting in the galactic interest but at the same time I need to appeal to those who want to take the fight to our enemies, I can't promise anyone that the road ahead is going to be easy or not have it's share of spilled blood."

He wasn't so much talking to his assistant as he was just voicing the internal thoughts going through his head, he'd read in a book somewhere a long time ago that people tended to think more clearly if they voiced their thoughts. So far it wasn't doing him any good, he still wasn't sure how he wanted to end his speech.

"Might I suggest that you do both, your not talking about mutually exclusive things. You can talk like a good leader and tell the truth in fact sir I would argue that the best leaders are the ones that look strong telling people what they need to hear not just what they want to hear. Either way the cameras are going to be rolling soon"

Lux smacked his hand against his forehead, such a simple answer to a difficult question he had been overthinking as he tended to do. He just needed to be himself that had always carried him far up until this point. He took one good look at himself in the mirror and smiled before making his way to the conference room.

The first thing that he noticed when he walked in was the heat, cameras ran hot and the room was packed with people making it almost unbearable but despite the head he was confident. Taking his spot surrounded by a small group of people that were instrumental to getting The Republic from just and idea to a reality.

His press secretary began counting down with her hand

"Hello Ladies and Gentleman my name is Lux Berooken. I like to borrow a little bit of your time to discuss a dream that I have about the galaxy. A galaxy that is free of terror and the intimidation of the forces of the dark, a galaxy where free people can travel and trade good and services without the fear of piracy and being cut out of the market my smugglers, a galaxy that works for someone born to wealth and privilege like myself but also for those born into the lowest of circumstances. You see my dream is the dream of Freedom and stability and with your help it will become a reality you see today is the first day of The Republic. A government that will work for you and a government that will protect you. I may hold the title of Chancellor but the real power will be held by you the regular hard working people of the galaxy, I want you to be able to reach your dreams and aspirations, I want you to live without the oppression of the Sith and the confederacy, I want you to join us here on Constancia and together were going to build something that we can all believe in, Thank You.

He thought his face was going to split from smiling so much but thankfully the light's of the recording devices went out and his staff took over.

"Okay everyone, we'll be having a reception in the dinning hall please make your way their"

Oh Republic! My Republic!

What brought the force user out to Constancia was fairy simple. The Eshan Prince had heard rumors of a man by the name of [member="Lux Berooken"] and his intent to reformulate the Republic. A Republic Constitution was to be signed today and Aston didn't plan on missing this. Many would call him a fool simply because the Republic had come and gone several times before this. It fell the first time because the Jedi were too late in realizing a terrible secret and was changed to a Galactic Empire. And then was rebuilt and failed again twice more. He always had a soft spot for the Galactic Republic. He often thought it was a childhood dream ever since he was taken their as a child with Spencer Jacobs to see it thrive and to grown into something great.

That seemed to be a pipe dream though, however he felt in his stubbornness that every time The Republic returned he would be there to try and see it through.

However as he listened to the Chancellors speech, he wondered how much this would work. The galaxy today was different. The world wasn't split between Jedi and Sith and Smugglers and Assassins as it was a thousand years ago.

He knew Sith that were fighting for the same thing that Aston was, and that was because he was a Jedi.

Things were just different now.

However, he told himself he would get some answers.

After hearing this speech over his ship's comm system, Tensus felt as though he had heard it before, maybe in not so many words, but he couldn't help but feel this way. He had always had the same ideals as that which the voice spoke of, but that wasn't why he remembered those words.
'Rosain...' - he thought to himself

Out of fear of having something he believed in, be swept away in the wind, he decided he had to take part in this Republic, despite being a wanted man for theft from the order.

Before he travelled to Constancia, he decided to make one last stop at the temple, to reclaim his lightsaber....

Now, with his prize reclaimed, he travels to Constancia, to aid this new Republic in any possible way...

He Noded at the other members of the Grand Army of The Republic. The man looked crookedely as a young senator walked up to him. "Marshal Commander Rage, what excactly are your plans regarding the Supreme Chancellors speech." the Senator asked. " I have already briefed the Senate regarding piracy and smugglers. My legions and my fleets will not allow it." he replied. The senator looked cross eyed at him. Cypher walked away. He noticed Supreme Chancellor [member="Lux Berooken"] and walked toward him. " Hello. Chancellor. We have millitary matters to attend to."

The Republic.

How many times will this faction show up, attempting time and time again to rear its head to show the rest of the galaxy that even when you shouldn't beat a dead horse, maybe this time we need to kick it harder.

As this was the grand opening of the Republic, a simple "I'm here to see about joining the ranks." was all it took to get in. Even while I may not look like the best of people, I for sure know I would not be joining. Why?

Their faction and the factions of many others sought only to better themselves. Eating fine food, in dining halls that cost more than entire villages. The mountain that... They had lived on cost no where near what this would be. With so many people, dressed in fancy clothes, fancy armor, and with enough hair gel to make a Nexu look like a porcupine, I was fed up. More than to be truthful.

Members were corralled into the next room. A place for people to meet up and talk about how the "New age of the Republic will bring the Galaxy to a golden age!" when they failed to look at the people below them. The People who worked in jobs that were considered too "dirty" for their posh hands. Jobs that were considered "easy" because they were simple manual labor. Jobs that were much more complicated than they could ever realize.

For now, I played along. Walking along with everyone else as some seated themselves at tables to feast upon food, others danced, and others talked.

The Republic, The place where Democracy dies.

Working a room was less stressful than giving a galactic address, it was easier when you could see a persons face how they reacted to the words that you used and their body language. As he walked into the dinning hall he was greeted by old faces people that he had known the majority of his political career and had admired for a really long time but their were also a lot of new faces people who had come looking for something that they could believe in. There were also some people who had come looking to gain more power and influence on events. if he was being honest which he rarely was those were the people he liked the most because in many ways he was just like them.

Shaking hands being pulled into one conversation to another always stopping just short of making any real promises to people that way he could keep his options opened at later date. Picking up glasses of wine as he was escorted to the center of the room people but stopped when he [member="Cypher Rage"] say hello military matters weren't usually his area of expertise and definitely wasn't his idea of party conversation. "Of course Cypher just let me say hello to a few people before we get into the business of the miltary, it's a pretty dull subject that I wouldn't want to others to hear."

A walking [member="Ignis Imura"] caught his eye the man looked interesting something that was rare at an event like this people often times just sat along with whomever they came with but the man seemed to be alone, and as a good host he wanted to talk to him. walking up to man proved a little more difficult than he had expected some many people wanted his attention, it made it hard for him to move as freely as he liked, but eventually managed. "Hello I'm Lux and you my friend are someone I haven't had the pleasure of meeting before, how are you liking the party?"

Saying that I was out of place, and sticking up like a sore thumb, would have been an understatement. While my skin has been altered to be much more durable than that of your normal human, I decided that it would likely be best to just wear at least a robed top to go along with the robed pants. Covering up just enough to be presentable. However, one could still see my blackened skin and metal left arm. It was quite the predicament. Eyes played across my frame. I could feel the stares of those who would rather avoid me. However, I might as well enjoy my time while I am here.

I had made my way to the bar. Well, to be honest it was just a counter top where a man handed drinks for the patrons to go somewhere else. Not stay at the bar. Got myself a hard Corelian Ale. The glass was clearly high quality with the lack of finger prints, smudges, or even seem lines where the glass was put together.

However, I turned around to see the Chancellor of the Hour. Providing his entire speech for people about providing a better world. Yet, he seemed to be making his way towards me. A roll of the eyes. I stood out, and he wanted to see what I was up to. I guess the trouble I will cause can either be let loose now, or later. I chose later.

His voice smooth. A little different from his voice during the speech. Likely less nervous than previously. Calling me his friend, an introduction, and even asking how it was going with the Party. Taking a nice long drink. Staring at him through the glass before setting it down and addressing the man.

"A friend, I am not. However, you do know how to gather a number of people to celebrate."

Tensus arrived at the planet he had heard this message of peace from, he was amazed at the sight of the planets rings, so fixated that he completely ignored the feeling of a shadow encompassing the whole planet, he detached the rings from his ship and watched as the old and frail ring slowly lost the small amount of energy it had left in it's systems.

"Well, I guess it had to give out sooner or later."

Tensus proceeded to manoeuvre his way around the ring and fly toward the planet's surface, he was still obsessed with the idea of a new Republic that shared his dreams, he knew the faction would be a target though. Before, the Republic had become one of the most evil forces in the galaxy after a corrupt mad man took over. Many would not trust the Republic based only on promises that can be easily broken, they had to make good on those promises, and Tensus was determined to ensure they would.

Tensus broke through the skyline of the planet and descended upon the city, he had never been here before, so he did not know where anything was, he had to land somewhere. eventually he just settled on a narrow alley, only just managing to fit his fighter between the two buildings. He exited and found a large tarp, which he took to cover his fighter.

He was still cautious though, he made sure to hide his face with the hood from his coat, though this could only work to an extent, after all, he was practically a giant walking the streets. Despite this he took off toward the building hosting this gathering...

He thought to himself;
"I'm about to willingly walk into a room full of people who might want to lock me away... Maybe if i just give the fighter back... Then again, even if I did, I still stole my lightsaber... Screw it, I said I was going to help and I will, I'll make your dreams a reality Rosain..."

He proceeds to stroll toward the building, eager to meet the one he knew only as Lux...

Lux laughed [member="Ignis Imura"] was different from the usual people that come to events like these, but he was right he did know how to get people to parties.

"I'll put you down as a work in progress most people would do anything to be my friend. Your right I do so love to throw parties it's one of the things that we learned at prep school."

He had learned a lot from his years of school, some people might say that it was a school for the elite but it was so much more than that it was a place that helped Lux take advantage of the position of his family. There were some of his old classmates in attendance tonight, but the man standing before clearly did not have the same background he wasn't dressed like he was someone of importance but he did have a certain aura that made him special.

"So let me ask you what are you doing here? are you a supporter of the Republic if so you might be interested in meeting some of our donors there the ones funding this whole operation, but something tells me that your not here for that so maybe your looking to join our armed forces?"

The sound of the door opening and closing momentarily took his attention, a large Zabrak [member="Tensus Kaoli"] stood there. Lux didn't know much about them he just knew that they were very good warriors, smiling he waived the man over.

Tensus had to hunch over to even enter the room, he stood among the crowded entrance and looked like a wookie among porgs. From his peripheral vision he spotted a man, [member="Lux Berooken"], Waving at him. He looked behind him to check if he was the one being waved at. Tensus looked at the man and pointed to himself with a confused look on this face, the man persisted, nodding at him. Tensus proceeded to move toward them, he slightly struggled to move himself between the tables and the many members sat at them. Eventually though he came face to face with the man.

"Evening sir, Tensus Kaoli, who might you be?"

He was so fixated on the man in-front of him that he failed to even acknowledge the dark shadow of [member="Ignis Imura"] stood only a few feet away, he raised his hand to greet the man. The man had a voice of power despite the fact he was speaking slowly and softly.

"A pleasure Tensus, Lux Berooken, Supreme chancellor."

Lux reached out with his own hand to greet the Zabrak, Tensus' eyes widened as he realised who he had just shaken hands with, the man who he had been seeking was now two feet in-front of him, Tensus was in such shock that he forgot he had hold of Lux's hand.

"May i have my hand back?"

Tensus snapped back to reality and promptly released his grip.

"Oh, I apologise, I must have blacked out for a minute."

"It's no problem [member="Tensus Kaoli"], I tend to have that affect on people." He laughed but all the while he was doing his best to analyze the giant alien in front of him he seemed nice enough and he looked like he would make a fine addition to the armed forces wing of The Republic. Of course he would have preferred if the man had dressed for the occasion not worn whatever armor that he was wearing. Lux had met a few force users in his life and if he had to guess he would say that Tensus was one of them.

"So big guy what brings you all the way out here it's not often that we see your kind anywhere near the deep core worlds, I have to tell you that I'm hoping that you came here to join us you look like you know how to handle yourself we can always use more people. The Republic welcomes all races in fact aliens are welcome I've heard that your people are some of the best warriors this galaxy has ever produced."

"We do have quite a reputation for battle don't we. In truth, I have always shared the ideals which you spoke of during your speech, which i must say was immaculate. But as you can probably guess from my lack of expensive clothing, I'm not exactly here to become a patron, and I know next to nothing about politics, so the military is looking to be the place for me." Tensus, despite being fixated on making a good impression, was trying his hardest to conceal his large lightsaber from [member="Lux Berooken"]'s eyes, after all, it had recently been stolen, and the price on his head from the order was likely much larger now.

Tensus' eyes were never fixed in one location, constantly exploring the features of different people and races, from what he could see, all manner of creature came to support the Republic, from Humans to Twileks to Rodians. Though he had realised that he seemed to be the only Zabrak there, he wasn't surprised though, most would never have left Dathomir, he had never been there though. Through the crowd he spotted what looked to be a member of the current military,[member="Cypher Rage"]. Tensus pointed toward the man and asked;

"Who's that?"

"Who I am? Who am I? Well according to your statement to to the Chancellor,I will be your new boss." he said as he walked up towards tge Zabrak. He had overheard his conversation with the Chancellor. He noticed the lightsaber he was hiding behind his back. "No need to conceal that my friend. I gave one as well." he said. Tonight will be a very long night.[member="Tensus Kaoli"]

Tensus was a slight bit startled by the arrival of [member="Cypher Rage"], despite the Zabrak's size and imposing figure, this man showed no sign of intimidation. Instead, Tensus was the one feeling slightly intimidated, granted Tensus has never really been good at reading body language, but something about this man demanded respect, and he most likely deserved the praise he gained.

"Oh right, the saber, I just thought having a weapon in here when this is supposed to be a day of union would alter the atmosphere of the room, so i tried to keep it hidden, clearly it didn't work very well."

Tensus looked down at the Hilt and proceeded to clip it onto the front of his belt, though a thought arose in his head; he spoke of having a lightsaber, was he a Jedi or... even a Sith? or maybe he had simply found it, hopefully it was the latter.

"Anyway, while its all well and good that you'll be my new boss, I feel as though we should at least exchange names, don't you? Here, i'll start, I'm Tensus Kaoli, who might you be?"

"I am Marshall Commander Cypher Rage formerly of the CIS. ." Cypher said to rhe Zabrak. "What are your skills."

[member="Tensus Kaoli"]

Tensus stand with his arms crossed, barely satisfied with the Marshall's response, none the less he moved on. "My skills? You mean what can I do? Well..." Tensus paused for a moment, questioning himself if he should actually reveal his force sensitivity. He thought to himself; "they need to trust me and need to trust them, the first step of trust is honesty." Tensus Proceeds to extend his hand toward [member="Cypher Rage"], lifting him until he floated at Tensus' eye level. "I think these skills should prove more than effective, don't you?"

Tensus proceeded to lower Cypher in an attempt to not draw attention to himself, however the Zabrak had already gained to gazed of many due to his use of the force. Those who stared at him began to mutter amongst themselves.

"I think I might be a bit out of place in a gathering like this, I prefer the company of Wookies anyway."

"A Force sensitive. This is nice. I used to work with a multitude of force sensitive people. Like High Marshal [member="Voph"] of the Confedracy. They prove to be useful." he sid as the Zabrak lowered him. " Oh... Don't ever do that again. Anyways, do you have Naval or Infatry command experience. I have both." he said quite boastful. This Zabrak intreged him. He had an idea to make this Zabrak the Commander of the 501st Legion which would put him directly under his command. But first he wanted to dig deep and seeif he was fit to be his second in command by prying into his very soul.

[member="Tensus Kaoli"]

"Well I'm competent in dog fighting and I accompanied my old master during the battle of Geonosis before... Before I was removed from the Jedi order." Tensus' head lowered as he spoke, he did not want to speak of his past. Though he continued on with his combat history.

"After I was exiled, the order arranged a transport for me to be taken back to my home planet, I instead travelled to Kashyyyk after stealing one of their fighters, for a decade I've been battling smugglers and slavers, and when a fleet of Seperatist tried to invade the planet, I held them back with the help of the wookies for 8 hours straight, until the former Republic reinforced the planet" Tensus had been a part of many battles during his time on Kashyyyk, many of which he had forgotten, however the several scars on his body never forgot.

"And now I stand before you. so, do you have a history quite like mine, [member="Cypher Rage"]?"

"Eh Somewhat. I commanded the Naval Forces at the Battle of Mechis III and Kuat. It was at Mechis that i earned my rightful place commanding entire armadas. I led a droid legion onto the planets surface to rescue a jedi in distress. She did not like me after seeing my choice of a combat weapon." he said lifting up one of the Lightsabers Darth Sidous left pn Mandolore after killing Savage Opress. " Enough of your skills. I have a job proposition. How would you like to be my second in command. The 501st Legion shpuld suit you" he said to the Zabrak. He was glad that the native of Dathomir wasnt a jedi. Some Jedi annoyed him, some he began to envy."What do you say"
