Succ on that Force Energy

Yutan was a beautiful planet. So much knowledge, so much amazing sites to behold... it just felt... pleasant and peaceful. Yutan itself was also home to the Republic it seemed. She could of never imagined a better capitol than this place. But when she saw the Jedi Temple, her eyes went in awe at the mighty, powerful structure... so this was to be her new home? The Jedi Temple was huge, beautiful, ancient. Surely there was much knowledge to consume and just feed off of. It was the most magnificent site she had ever seen. "Wow..." was the words that left her mouth. Yutan had many things that were amazing, significant and great, but this... this iced the cake of everything. She wouldn't say this planet is better than her homeplanet of course, but this was just something that she wanted to do for years. The young initiate entered the temple as she would begin her first steps.
After a few years along the lines, she trained with the masters in the temple where she would eventually learned the basics of how to hold a lightsaber using training weapons. She of course, would now have to find a master for further training, for the first steps were just a basic tutorial on how to be a Jedi. Now at the age of 18, she was ready to set out and find a master. Perhaps the most greatest thing she spent in Yutan, was going through the Jedi Archives. When she was not training with her practice saber, she was in the archives, reading every single piece of literature that was there. Learning more and more, namely the history of the Jedi and the history of the Republic. However... she wanted more than that. Knowledge is risky, yes, but what is there to risk? Knowledge is dangerous, knowledge is power, and knowledge is indeed the path of both light and dark. Knowledge is the most neutral thing that can exist.

"Now,
before any other lightsaber forms, you need to learn about the first, and most important of them all."

Arisa held up her lightsaber to the gathering of younglings and teenagers as if to activate it, but then she just clipped it back on her belt. A few of the initiates stared at her with a quizzical look, having expected the veteran Padawan to show them some dazzling display of blade work.

"
Form Zero. Your lightsaber, or any weapon for that matter, are tools of last resort when all other options have been exhausted."

"To be clear, this is not about exercising pacifism, but restraint. There are times, especially now as the galaxy is embroiled in war, where violence is unfortunately required to dispatch belligerents. However, a Jedi should never instigate armed conflict. We are not killers, but protectors."

"In the coming days, along with instruction in martial arts and firearms, you will also be learning about the equally important skills of proportionality, threat assessment, investigation, and diplomacy. Everything you'll need to know to become a properly discerning Jedi."

Isiresha glanced at the one who was instructing the younglings and the teenagers, and glanced at her lightsaber. It was quite a marvelous site to behold. The beautiful weapon that she was gazing at, of course, should always be used for knowledge. She heard the words of wisdom from the older Padawan and nodded. She never wanted to kill anyone with her lightsaber, or come down to it, but there might be a point where she might have to, and well... it might make her feel super bad for doing so.
When she was finishing, she approached Arisa and tilted her head. "Master Yune, with all due respect, I understand a lightsaber should be used for a last resort weapon, but what if there is no last resort, and you are forced to use it on the first attempt? After all, war is war, and negotiation is not going to work half of the time." she was quite curious, for she knew how war was, especially after reading it from the archives and library. "Besides, sometimes the best way to protect is to go to war. Right? Not saying to recommend it but..."

Arisa smiled at the newcomer, having expected such a question to be brought up by someone from the group.

"All life is sacred to the Jedi, so we strive to look for options that don't involve violence. Perhaps your opponent engaged you in such a way that left you with no other option? Self-defense is perfectly justified. Even in combat, though, the aim is usually to disable the opponent rather than to kill. A life is not easily returned, so one should look to do the absolute minimum to achieve their objective."

Once, she would have said that a life could never be returned, but after all the crazy things she had seen during her time with the order, she wasn't willing to rule out revival anymore. She had died herself before on an operating table.

"Don't take my words to mean that you can't be proactive. I encourage it. Funnily enough, being proactive often allows us to avoid later conflicts down the line."

Raising a brow, Isiresha crossed her arms and and heard that. She could of sworn she heard those words say that "all lives are sacred". Sure, she sort of see where she was coming from, but what about those who harm the innocent? "But even criminals get away with it? Hmn. Well, I see." she said hearing that. She nodded hearing that but scratched her head. "But even killing someone in the act of self defense, it would still get your condemned somehow." she was rather confused about that. She heard that she should be proactive. and nodded. "I tend to try and be proactive, but I guess you could think that if it's the only way to gain more knowledge, then maybe it would be understood on why a kill is necessary."

She didn't much care for how the other woman looked at her when she mentioned the Jedi tenant holding all life sacred, though her expression remained pleasant. It wasn't the first time she had an encountered someone with the crusader mindset.

"Yes, even criminals should be afforded a chance at redemption, if possible. A criminal will still be expected to face punishment for their crimes, of course. Again, this is not me promoting pacifism, but asking everyone to leave themselves open to looking for an alternative to violence or outright killing. Take a second look at things, and you may see that the most obvious route isn't the best one to take."

"I've been fighting the Sith for the better part of a decade now. I've had to make the judgement calls where I deemed it necessary to take a life. It's definitely not a decision that I relish, but when there was no other option available, I did what was required to protect those in my charge. You will never be condemned for defending yourself or others."

The Jedi way confused her. To not kill criminals was just out of the question for them. But she understood why. "Yet again, Jedi are that of jutsice-dooers, right?" she said to the woman. She never fully understood why the Jedi would even try to even do such a thing for a criminal... Oh well. Whatever it takes to have justice served. She nodded hearing her words and looked at her eyes.

"You have a point." she said as she heard that she was busy fighting the sith and such. She crossed her arms and thought about things. "Well... The only last case scenario I want is facing against my own kin. Of course, it might be bound to happen. Not every Trayn'uthh was good, and she knew this from perspective. Every one of them had their own ambitions, and their own ideals that did not came to par with what others wanted. "I've been training in these halls since I was first bought here. And of course, absorbing the knowledge of the library. Although I do feel that it's not enough for me. I know there is more knowledge out there... especially...." she came close to her ear. "Dangerous, forbidden knowledge. I wish to seek this."

She distanced herself about a half a step away from the woman, feeling uncomfortable with her personal space being invaded, and hearing the desires that she spoke of. It definitely wasn't a good idea for novice initiates to be reviewing that sort of information while beginning on the path of the Jedi. The knowledge of the Sith and the Dark Side was restricted for a reason.

"I imagine that it wouldn't be, as the Yutani Enclave was only reclaimed by the Jedi within the last year. I'm afraid to say, but our current archive is very sparse in comparison to what was available on Coruscant, though we may have some luck recovering the library now that the Sith have been ousted."

"Small steps. Before you make an attempt at learning of dangerous, forbidden knowledge, you should first learn about what it is to be a Jedi. On the contrary, I believe you still have a long ways to go in that respect."

[member="Isiresha Zarinora"]

She couldnt help herself. Ishiresha was very curious. She wanted all forms of knowledge to be learned so she can learn how to use it against the Dark Side, and perhaps, use their own knowledge against them. If she can prove to do such a thing, she would probably feel quite accomplished to delivering justice easier and efficiently.
"Indeed. I understand of the scarcity of knowledge. But there is always more information I could find out. I have to know this. There is a greater intent that I had dreamed of in the future that could save not only the Jedi, but the entire galaxy. Knowledge is among the most powerful weapon anyone could use. The way of the mind is the strongest in the force in my opinion. This would help further my training. I do not wish to have the knowledge of the forbidden to corrupt my way of thinking, and turn me to the Dark Side. It would ruin my plans all together."
Isiresha always had envisioned this plan for quite a while now, but this plan would take decades to complete. She of course, was a growing youngling, and this might not even happen in Arisa's lifetime. Hell, this might not even happen in Isiresha's. But, the knowledge she had planned to protect and secure the galaxy into years of peace is a long and tedious ideal. Only through time, diplomacy and purging the inbalance of the darkness would reach this path. "You are right, however. I do understand I have to learn what it has to be a Jedi. A little help could come along the way. But, I do wish to see my ideal still go through. It might not succeed, I never said that it will. But, I must have this knowledge." The young one seems to have much ambition, and of course, acted arrogant as she usually was. However, she did knew that she had a long way to go, it's just she was thinking too arrogantly to recognize this.

She grew concerned for the initiate as she kept repeating her need for the knowledge of the Dark Side. That was dangerous territory for even seasoned Jedi, and this woman didn't even have a proper foundation for taking such a risk. She had this feeling that the woman was just interested in obtaining the restricted knowledge for its own sake.

"Everyone, I think we're going to a break. After lunch, I'll begin showing you Form I, which serves as the basis for the succeeding styles. Class dismissed."

The group of initiates broke up into smaller groups and began to leave, the bulk of them heading in the direction of the kitchen for lunch. While the class exited the courtyard, she stepped into the woman's path to block her from leaving.

"I'd like to speak with you more about your plans, in private."

She motioned towards a stone bench along one of the walls of
the courtyard, and walked over to sit.

Observing the others leave, she hope that none of them though she was asking too many questions nor trying to really hinder on their learning. Perhaps it was too much for them to even ask since she was saying things that probably no other padawan would probably say, atleast to her understanding. The young tora looked at the jedi instructor as she wanted to know more about her plans. As she did, she saw her walk over towards the stone bench and followed her. She sat down next to her and observed the area.
"I have to say, this temple is beautful, as well as Yutan. It reminds me of what I had read about Tython. It feels like Tython too. Green, ancient, light. All of that." she said making an observation. Her philosophical nature always made her wonder about the universe around her. It was always full of surprises. She crossed her arms and looked down though, with her usual serious face. "So... what did you wanted to ask about my plans, master?"
