We're in between ACA and Republic Space right now. (Rough estimate below). If we want to act as a sort of sub-faction, we could act as an intelligence organization for the Republic, running missions in OS territory. Alternatively, if we want to avoid fighting a bunch of Sith Lords, we could side with the ACA, Helping them in their struggle with the Protectorate.The problem there is that the rest of the major factions won't want to deal with us after we do that.

Would the republic wants mercenaries?

Working for sith would brand us and other factions wouldn't work with us.

Wouldn't we lose emberlene by going to the silver's? And how would they feel about a group of mercenaries moving in.

The SJO can't reach us without attacking the Suns or the Republic. As far as holding Emberlene goes, we'll start to loose control as soon as we work for any group in particular.

We should start with a deal with either the Republic or the Protectorate, and ask as payment mining rights to Seltros or Arkania (IE, one Dev thread). Phrik could be very useful.

It would also be a good idea to start work on establishing ourselves. Maybe start gaining influence in the galaxy via strategic missions for factions. Talk to the leaders of Factions you want on your good side. See what you can do for them.

We aren't major, we don't have Emberlene and the Silver's have an entire moon dedicated to mercenaries a section in their temple for Shadow Guards.

Going to other factions wouldn't be bad but Silver's don't care for drama and want to have fun.

I would like for us to be in agreement. I've been other places that when we aren't as a group in agreement, we lose the few members we have.
