- Classification: Heavy Infantry/Artillery (Armor Analogue)
- Description: The Dragon Guard is Sullust's elite fighting force of powersuit equipped troopers. It is famous on their homeworld for greatly enhancing the natives' tunnel fighting tactics and only a select few are chosen to train among them. Although they integrate with Home Guard infantry and some even move into the private sector, over the centuries the Dragon Guard has taken on many qualities of tradition and ceremony akin to knightly orders on feudal worlds. Dragon Guard troopers aren't just valued for their skill in battle and heavy fire support, they are seen as a living testament to sullustan martial tradition.

- Powersuit

- Sullustan Tactical Miner (one fireteam)
- TT-48 Armored Troop Carrier (one fireteam)

- Combat Function: Dragon Guard powersuits are deployed in small fireteams and sometimes larger squads or platoons if circumstances demand it. They attach themselves to larger infantry and mechanized units much like an armor column to provide close range artillery support and heavy anti-personnel fire. The Dragon Guard uses conventional troop carriers or subsurface miners for outer deployment and then move in the rest of the way on foot. In extreme cases they can be deployed by anti-grav chute with a minimal loss rate.

For thousands of years the sullustans have conducted unconventional subsurface warfare. Sullust's elite Dragon Guard is the most recognizable example of their divergent tactics. Instead of emphasizing large cumbersome armored vehicles the predominantly cave and tunnel dwelling species would instead equip commando units with cutting edge powersuits outfitted with both crowd control and anti-armor offensive systems. In their native tunnels a single Dragon Guard trooper is worth far more than any AT walker.
The Dragon Guard is for all intents and purposes foot mobile armor columns deployed in fireteams or if necessary larger formations. Over centuries of legendary exploits they have developed a ritual martial tradition not unlike the Knights of Alderaan. Those who bear the mark of the dragon are greatly revered throughout the Home Guard and known even to sullustan civilians from stories and holofilms depicting their honor and bravery.
