STRENGTHS
- Force Disruption Aura
The blade emits a low-frequency interference that has a chance to Disrupt precognitive instincts and danger sense in Force users within close proximity. - Combat-Adaptive Edge
The longer it is used against the same opponent, the more efficiently it tracks and counters their movements—almost as if it remembers their strikes. - Lightsaber & Blaster Resistant
Forged from a Kov'dra-Phrik composite, Sunderfang is Highly resistant to energy weapons, lightsabers, and standard battlefield degradation. - Legacy Bond
The sword subtly bonds with its wielder over time, granting them increased responsiveness and physical balance while in combat with it.
WEAKNESSES
- Heavy and Two-Handed
Due to its length and density, the blade requires immense strength and both hands to wield effectively, making it unsuitable for agile or dual-weapon fighters. - Ineffective in Tight Quarters
The sword's size and sweep radius limit its effectiveness indoors, in ship corridors, or other narrow spaces. - No Force Alignment
Though it disrupts the Force, the blade itself cannot channel or augment Force abilities—it is inert to both Light and Dark Side users. - Psychic Residue
Prolonged exposure to the blade may induce unsettling dreams or emotional echoes of its final battle—especially in sensitive wielders.
DESCRIPTION
Sunderfang was forged during the twilight years of Kiev'ara's golden age, under direct commission from the Last High Warden, a commander charged with protecting the Temple of the Twin Gods. Designed as both a ceremonial weapon and a battlefield equalizer, Sunderfang represents the pinnacle of pre-Fall Kiev'arian blacksmithing—a sacred union of Kov'dra, Phrik, and symbolic inlay of Songsteel.
According to surviving Kiev'arian war records, Sunderfang was wielded in the Battle of the Dimming Sky, where its bearer slew three Rakatan warmasters across a four-day siege. As its legend grew, the blade became known for an eerie ability to anticipate enemy strikes, especially when facing Force-sensitive opponents. Theories suggest the weapon's Kov'dra matrix adapted to the micro-movements of its targets, disturbing the flow of foresight itself.
The blade is carved with an inscription in ancient Draconic, reading:
"Let those who wield fate find their eyes clouded and their futures dimmed."
Recovered from the half-buried corpse of its final wielder, Sunderfang remains remarkably intact. Though dulled by time, its edge still carries a strange pressure—one that unsettles those attuned to the Force. It is a relic, a weapon of judgment, and a final echo of a world that defied extinction with honor and flame.
