Hey, does anyone with any knowledge of BBcode know what this "" crap that showed up in a recent post of mine is? I can't seem to get rid of it.

It's superscript. Basically an exponential. The reverse is [sub].[/sub]

In Caltin's linked example post and the BB code page you linked the SUP and SUB codes aren't working, almost like the PLAIN tag is surrounding them even when a quote test suggests it's not (using Firefox 98.0.1 and Chrome 99.0.4844.82).

It seems to have been a coding issue on my end, I have it fixed (or it fixed itself) now.
