Description: Supernova Syrum was developed by GEAR to answer a need. That was to subdue would-be attackers without the use of lethal force. Injection is most commonly delivered through a small dosage syringe, either from a small hand-held device such as an emergency allergic reaction pen, or a dart launcher, or similar means. The target will immediately feel an intense, growing burning sensation (arms, legs, or neck are typically the most effective locations). This toxin can deliver a debilitating burning sensation much in the same manner as one would feel if their skin were in fact, on fire.

Furthermore, it has the added ability to render the target paralyzed, at least partially, depending on the site of injection. If a subject for instance were injected in a limb, they would likely lose partial mobility for the duration of the effect. This effect varies with each subject based on body mass, species, and overall health, though the most common effects would be loss of arm, hand and finger mobility, weakened strength, or in the most extreme cases, the inability to move muscles. Paralysis is less likely to occur if injection is performed in the chest or back.

This effect lasts most commonly between 10 to 15 minutes. A side effect of the Supernova Syrum are that small white pustules will form on the outer layer of skin around the injection site that, if broken, can cause infection of the wounds. While death is incredibly unlikely, it is possible for a person to have such an extreme allergic reaction to the toxin that they suffer anaphylaxis which could cause death, though there is a less than 1% chance for this to happen.
