The backpack itself is constructed of a blend of synthetic fabrics, layered to give a moisture-wicking property and keep the interior dry. The pack boasts adjustable straps and an arsenal of carrying straps for other materials and tightening braces as to minimize surface area and result in ease of carrying. The pockets and flaps have been strategically designed as to displace weight. An additional strap is also fitted to wrap around the waist and secure the backpack to the wearer. The color of the backpack is also dependent on the environment.
The Survival-series backpack beholds a plethora of survival gear and sustainment resources. While many of the items on the standard issue inventory list seem extremely heavy, these items were selected based on their carrying weight and usefulness. Of the portable moisture vaporators and generators listed, they are much smaller versions of the original model.
Most of the other materials included are also based around evasion. Much of the equipment is sensor-baffling and helps reduce the chances of hostile persons discovering an encamped individual. The rest of the gear and items are also suited to adapt to a variety of environments, ranging from extreme tropical or arid climates to the freezing cold of Hoth.
In all, this is a sturdy and versatile pack. The Survival-series boasts a well-rounded assortment of essential equipment with the only major drawback being its moderate weight. It's not too heavy but the pack will definitely cause a bit of strain if you are running into battle with it.
