- Multifaceted Crystal: The crystal used as a focus causes stray energy tendrils to spiral off the blade/whip, potentially dealing extra damage.
- All the Usual Weaknesses: Cortosis, songsteel, phrik, sonics, paddle beams, slugthrowers... water... you get the idea.
- On/Off: The weapon cannot switch between lightsaber/lightwhip modes in the middle of combat. The weapon must be turned off, switched, then turned on again to use this feature.
- One At a Time: If the weapon is in lightwhip mode, the other emitter will automatically turn off as a safety feature. It will not function as a double-bladed lightsaber until it is switched back.
- Pommel: The pommel is largely decorative; Inanna uses it regularly because she likes to surprise her opponents when her single-bladed lightsaber turns out to be a secret double-blade. It can be easily removed to allow use of the secondary emitter, but it does take a few precious seconds to unscrew it. In addition, once it is removed, the benefits afforded by the Lorrdian gemstone are lost.
- Force Voids: The effects of the Lorrdian gemstone would be lost in a Force Void.
- Chaos!: The multifacted crystal's stray energy tendrils are rather unpredictable, making a weapon that is already difficult to operate all the more... fun.
During her training under Vanessa Vantai, Inanna built two weapons: a lightwhip and a lightsaber. She quickly realized how much of a hassle it was to carry around two separate weapons, so she eventually opted to take them apart and combine them into a single weapon. The result is a device which can switch between multiple modes as needed, allowing for a variety of combat styles.
