Sweet, sweet signatures

So i'm curious. So many people in this community have some AWESOME signatures for their characters, even brand new characters with less than fifty posts.

Is everyone just really good at photoshop or is there a signature generator i've never aeen before?

Do I need to become best friends with someone who IS awesome with photoshop...?

Some request signatures in this forum, some create their own. But it's the best if you can become really good friends with a good Photoshoper like me (#EgoOverload).

If you can't make your own, just request one in one of those threads. Or I can make you one if you give me the details.

people make them by themselves or request threads are out there for photoshop wizzes to make them for you or just wing it yourself. its just a cosmetic thing to have anyway

Don't worry. There are many tutorials in the internet on how to do things and eventually you'll get greater in these things. I started out, using paint to do signatures myself. Thank god none of these were for my Chaos characters.

But I'll get it done as soon as possible.

I see you've already solved your issue with your own signature, but to answer your question: It's just a lot of copying, pasting, and applying various filters or increasing saturation/vibrancy, or even just adding a blur.

As for me, I just take a nice picture, increase the vibrancy/saturation if I want it to be more colorful (like my profile picture), and then paste on the border I want (in the case of my profile) or create a border via the blending options in photoshop (if you have photoshop, if not just use the box tool (make sure it is on transparency mode) in the case of my signature). I use two image editors, Photoshop CC(the new photoshop, though I wish I had jumped on the bandwagon back before subscription membership stuff was a thing) and Paintdotnet (for adding the "softened" effect to pictures, not much else).

I just use GIMP. It's free, and it only took me about three weeks of work before I was making more good stuff than crap. If you can learn to work with layer masks and overlay modes, you're golden.

I use pixlr.com. It's free, there's two different versions (an advanced one and an 'express' one), and it only took a couple of days to really figure out. Of course the work I can get out of it has gotten better over the year and a half I've been using it, and there are a few things I've had to go to other simply sites for. For example I use Luna Pic for making things transparent, and I use Free Online Image Editor (that's actually it's name. No joke) for when I want fancier fonts.

To note, paintdotnet is free and has plugins that make it work very similarly to the old Photoshop of the early/mid 2000's with upgraded tools.
