CORSIN - A terrestrial planet located along the HYDIAN WAY within the Expansion Region known for its love of life and for its swoop races featuring large natural reserves home exotic native wildlife such as the Selligore. In recent times, the planet has found itself under the rule of the rogue imperial warlord, ADMIRAL TAYE and his forces who since the convention at Carlac have refused to submit to the authority of the DARK EMPIRE.

In the wake of the GALACTIC ALLIANCE’s acquisition of TARIS, the Empire has gained a newfound interest on Corsin now desiring to secure the planet in order to cut off Taris from the rest of the Galactic Alliance. However, despite repeated demands issued by the Imperial Ruling Council, Admiral Taye has remained defiant, responding to the Imperial Ruling Council’s demands by launching incursions into Imperial territories and requesting aid from the IMPERIAL MILITARY PROTECTORATE in a bid to deny the Empire control over his system.

In response to Taye’s provocations, Imperial forces now descend upon Corsin in full force with the ultimate objective of removing him from power and securing control of the planet in preparation for their next major move of the CORE WARS.

Objective : Final Assault

After breaking through Taye’s Fleet, the Imperial Military now clashes with the forces of Admiral Taye and his allies among the Imperial Military Protectorate in a final battle as they launch an all-out-assault from the skies and from the ground in order to seize control of the capital, eliminate Admiral Taye and dismantle his splinter group, all while delivering another defeat to the treacherous Imperial Military Protectorate.

The forces of the Void Irregular Fleet had moved into close range of the hostile Imperial ships. Pluton-class battleships of decades of age fired their beam weapons from their turrets at point-blank range into the sides and bows of the hostile vessels. Onrai had spared no expense in bringing forth fleet assets of her own to engage these hostiles - even the few Sovereign Elite-class Battlecruisers had joined the fray, their dreadnought-slaying beam weapons put to aggressive work. Onrai had already begun to speculate over the idea of improving the ships in question for future conflict with the Galactic Alliance. She was in a tempestuous mood and no one, not even the new Imperial leadership, was going to dissuade her from it.

Traitors were good for nothing but fertilizer.

The Krath delegation of Empress Teta arrived at the Corsin Retreat dressed in their formal black and gold Tetan military uniforms. Among them surrounded by six heavily armed guards in silver Mandalorian crusader armor was the Empress herself Dyans Keto very much alive. She wore a black and silver dress and had a sword in sheath attached to her waist on the left side. Upon her head she wore a silver crown, and she walked with her chin up and a flat facial expression as they made their way through the retreat.

The delegation spoke among themselves mostly about the wants and needs of the Tetan empire. Some spoke in hushed whispers so Dyans couldn't hear them gossip about her left arm. Upon Dyans left arm was a silver prosthetic, lost just below the shoulder in her fight on Tython with Tycho Arak Tycho Arak . The loss only made her blood lust even more pronounced; she wasn't going to let the alliance take anymore from her. First her world, then her family, and now her left arm.

She had come here to ensure her people's future and with luck maybe a final decisive victory over the alliance. She had a firm plan and agenda in mind, she could only hope this time the Dark Empire was willing to work with the Krath and not stab them in the back like last time. If they did, she would see to their fall with the same fervor she wanted to see the alliances down fall.

There was a lot of work ahead of her not with just the Dark Empire, she knew eventually she would have to make deals with the Mandalorians and even further beyond that with the other Empire that inhabited the galaxy. Maybe even the sith if she was to make the move she hoped to on the wider galactic scale. But first today was to deal with the Dark Empire, they were the first step in moving forward.

As the battle raged through the capital mercilessly, agents were dispatched to several different locations; and it was here in the criminal underworld that the Fiend herself would lock horns with the purveyors of shady dealings and black-market antiquities. Though her heart yearned for battle and the taste of killing on her lips, there was an advantage to be had here among these outlaws and criminals; a profitable advantage if she played the game right. However, the top two criminal enterprises were at odds with one another, waging their own personal gang style war, as the small-time outfits jockeyed for any scraps left behind. Jin X knew she had to side with one organization over the other, but for now she needed unravel which benefits would be most useful to the Dark Empire, and thus she had to work both sides.

Her first visit would be to the group calling themselves The Circle. They had a reputation of shoot first, steal later, a bunch of hoodlums right up her alley. However, they didn't take kindly to strangers and would only see you if they wanted to see you; and that could be good or bad depending on their interest in you. Jin X knew she needed to get their attention, and the only way to do that was to make her presence known, in a way only she knew how. Violence.

Approaching a group of thug looking individuals arrayed around an alien owned kiosk, she asked, "I'm looking to meet the leader of The Circle. I'm asking for a volunteer from among you to assist me." The group began to laugh, moving toward her with violence of their own on their collective hive minds. Snarling, she withdrew her pistol and shot one of the men right between the eyes, picking out her own volunteer. The rest of the men scrambled off, clearly unarmed and not prepared to deal with this odd-looking monstrosity that resembled a girl. Squatting down on top of the dead man, she drew out a sharp knife and cut a few pieces of flesh off the man; consuming them whilst she waited.

Mordane watched the Krath delegation enter the retreat with a mixture of cold calculation and simmering anticipation. The sight of Empress Dyans Keto, flanked by her Mandalorian guards, confirmed that this meeting would be anything but simple. Her formal black and silver attire, the regal crown, and the gleaming prosthetic arm spoke volumes about her defiance and resilience. She carried the weight of loss—and vengeance—with her, but so did he. This was not a meeting between supplicants and overlords; this was a negotiation between powers, each with much to gain—or lose.

The Empress had suffered greatly at the hands of the Alliance, that much was clear. But Mordane could see the fire in her eyes, the same fire that drove him to forge ahead in the face of opposition. Her presence alone revealed a ruler who had been forced to adapt, to harden, to embrace her darker instincts for survival. Yet, despite her losses, she radiated a cold confidence, one that would normally demand respect.

But for Mordane, respect was earned, not given freely.

He stood near the edge of the chamber as she entered, his back straight, hands clasped behind him, his uniform stark and imposing. His sharp gaze lingered on her prosthetic arm for only a second—he had little interest in her scars, only in what use she could provide to the Empire. He stepped forward, cutting across the room with measured steps, his cape trailing behind him.

"Empress Keto," Mordane greeted her, his tone formal but unyielding. "My name is Allegiant General Mordane. On behalf of the Empire, welcome to Corsin."

As the Allegiant General approached her and the delegation, her guards came to a halt in lick step with her. With a simple motion of her hand the guards stood down, and the lines of the delegation split to let the man through. Her jade eyes looked up at the man straight in the eyes as he introduced himself to her. She gave him a slight head bow. "Thank you, Allegiant General Mordane."

Her tone very evenly measured and almost mono when she spoke to the man before. The man stood a half a foot taller than her, and he was dressed in the formal wear of the Army. Their uniforms not to dissimilar to that of the Tetan Armies only difference was slight flairs here and there. Even though he was taller, then her she seemed to be measuring him up in her own subtle way.

He did have one oddity about him, she couldn't see or feel him the force. It wasn't often you ran into someone who was force dead, well it used to not be so common. She was seeing more and more people across the Galaxy popping up with the gene. "Mind if I ask were you on the Tython front or the Bogan front?" In truth she wanted to get the negotiations started but it was always more polite to start with a bit of friendly conversation.

kn5loPB.png

VVVDHjr.png

Mordane returned Empress Keto's nod, his expression unreadable as always. He noticed her measuring gaze, studying him as one seasoned warrior might study another, despite the formal setting. Her question hung in the air for a moment, and he chose his response carefully.

"I was at Tython," he replied, his voice steady, betraying none of the inner calculation running through his mind. "The frontlines were... unforgiving. But decisive victories seldom come without sacrifice."

He paused, meeting her gaze with his sharp, dark eyes. Mordane was well aware that her question wasn't idle curiosity. She wanted to gauge him—perhaps test his worthiness or his knowledge of the brutal war that had shaped both of them.

"I understand you were there as well, Empress. The loss of your arm is a testament to the struggle you've endured for your people. The Krath's resilience is known to all."

It was a subtle nod to the silver prosthetic she bore, acknowledging her strength, but more importantly, reminding her that the Dark Empire understood the stakes as much as she did. They had both fought for survival—now it was time to determine if they could fight together.

"But enough pleasantries," Mordane continued smoothly, his posture firm and unyielding. "We both know why we are here. The galaxy will not wait for us to catch our breath, and neither will our enemies." He gestured slightly toward the meeting chamber. "Shall we proceed?"

Though he hadn't used the Force to sense her like she might have, Mordane had a clear understanding of power and intent. This negotiation would be one of precision, where words would cut as sharply as any blade. He wasn't here to lose.

Admiral Tay was something of a loose cannon, at least that was heard through the grapevine of the Stormtrooper Corps. One thing was for certain was that the Warlord needed to go down. A small platoon had accompanied the Void Irregular Fleet along with other detachments of the Imperial Stormtroopers. Much of the ground had been well dug in, heavily fortified with walkers roaming about the city streets. The smoke of a freshly lit death stick would cling to the stale air of the gunship. Kat looked to Zavon, obviously disgusted. “You just had to light one before we land?” She would ask through her helm, while Zaven only flashed a cocky grin, a puff of smoke soon followed. “Oh c’mon Kat, you know me. Always gotta light one up before we hit the ground. Kark knows that it’s gonna be a hell of a ride down there.” Zaven would say with confidence oozing through his tone.

The gunship roared while the heavy gunner known as Trapper was finished calibrating his heavy blaster rifle. Through the rocking and the bumping of the gunship, he kept his focus on his weapon. “Just let me know when we get there.” He would say coldly as he finished checking his weapon. The gunship continued to rock, screams of TIE Fighters could be heard, the blasts of Turbolaser fire would cause further rocking. Kat would grit her teeth under her helm. “Faster we get there, faster we can start shooting.” Kat said some slight irritation, some eagerness for a fight was brewing through the odd squad of Stormtroopers.

Alright you bucketheads, you want action you got some.” The pilot announced over the comms as the gunships descended through the urban sprawl of the city. Immediately the doors opened, blinding light mixed with dust, smoke and blaster fire sounded throughout Zaven’s ears even through the Stomtrooper helmet. “You wanted excitement!” Would Kat taunt him, her finger already squeezing the trigger of her blaster fire. “Never thought I’d be fighting against our own.” Did Trapped say as he unleashed volley after volley of suppressing fire towards the enemy lines shooting at them. They had dropped deep into enemy lines, and close to the Govenors palace where Tay would reside. Zaven would grumble at the intensity of it all, his head warped from the death stick as he settled alongside his squad shooting back at the line of rogue Stormtroopers preventing them from pushing forward. It would be a tough fight

DARK EMPIRE

divider-megint-DE2.png
Sularen hated Megacorporations. Large galactic entities managed by selfish businessmen who in their greed and arrogance thought they were above governments, that they could dictate galactic politics. Sularen had suffered at their hands many times before, from being backlisted to being backstabbed, and yet still mane of them had the audacity to call him corrupt and morally bankrupt when they openly propagated their belief for a "free market" with unrestricted trade and fair competition only to establish restrictive and controlling monopolies while dismantling their competition by forcing them out of business.

Now, in the wake of the Empire's degree aimed at securing it's economy from the predatory practices of the more larger corporations of the galaxy, a collection of corporate figures had joined forces and formed what they called the Corporate Interests Guild before further declaring an embargo against the Empire and anyone associated with them. Faced with significant opposition from yet another group of corporations not to mention having been technically blacklisted yet again from the galactic market, Sularen had finally had enough. The corporate community had been allowed to indulge in their delusions of grandeur and now it was time to humble them through the might of the Empire.

With the recent Imperial victory at Tython, the Warlord of Empire wasted no time to begin making plans to wage war against these corporations and see to it that they were completely and utterly dismantled and the future of the galactic market and economy dictated by the Empire and only the Empire. However despite his great disdain for the large megacorporations of the galaxy and desire to see them crumble under the weight of the Empire, Sularen himself recognized that even trying to dislodge their hold over even a mere region of the galaxy would be extremely difficult especially given at how some member corporations of the Corporate Interest Guild were galaxy-wide megacorporation with their assets scattered across the galaxy.

As such, Marlon Sularen had summoned a pair of individuals to his flagship above the world of Shili. Individuals whom the Warlord of the Empire believed had the necessary skills and insight to help him find a proper permanent solution to this complex problem, further relieving the Empire of this new threat that sought to undermine it's growing power. Together Sularen and these two individuals would set the stage for an inevitable Imperial-Corporate War and put an end to the delusions of the corporate community once and for all.

Sid turned his head when another Stormtrooper spoke up. He looked at his reflection in the blackened eyes of his helmet, looking over at the other Stormtrooper.

"They aren't ours anymore."

His face, scarred by the Jedi's vicious assault on his position, was replaced by the visage of his Stormtrooper helmet, marked with a stripe to indicate his rank. The Gunship rocked, and he stood up with his other Stormtroopers, the doors opening, a symphony of gunfire, warfare, and violence on display as they made their way over the cityscape.

Sid launched himself out of the gunship, and moved his hand over his head, directing the fire of several other Stormtroopers.

"WE ARE NOT GETTING BOGGED DOWN HERE, ADVANCE!"

He stood up, leading the charge, tucking his carbine under his arm as he made a mad dash for cover- advancing towards the enemy line. He rolled on his hip, and at the same time, in an impressive display of combat prowess, primed and readied a grenade, and through the roll- launched it quite far at the enemy lines, resulting in the sprawling leap of a few unlucky Stormtroopers.

It had been some months since "unauthorized foreign commerce" had been criminalized. Sweeping changes within the Dark Empire... But somehow the only visible result was the subsequent embargo enacted by a coalition of megacorporations. The prevailing narrative had since become that these entities had turned their backs on the Dark Empire rather than the other way around. Included among them was the Trade Federation which Antipater had just recently courted.

And now what? Who was steering the state through all this tumult? Not Solipsis; that mute and absentee hedge wizard had recused himself after the failure at Coruscant. There hadn't been so much as a peep from Wulf or Tithe since the decree, either. Empty chairs and empty tables. Farce layered upon farce. Antipater was on the verge of courting the Military Protectorate. Perhaps they would send him the ships he had asked for...

But no. Appearances had to be maintained. So when Sularen summoned him to Shili, he answered. It was only Antipater standing there when the doors to the conference room parted for him. No attachés or guards accompanied him. Such things were superfluous to any sufficiently advanced protocol droid. "Warlord Sularen," he greeted, tone as flat as ever. "What an honor to receive your invitation."

The doors slid quietly shut behind him.

"How can Jaemus be of service?"

Meeting the Warlord was certainly at the top of Reiner's list. Sularen's name had been indefinitely echoed through the annals of whatever galactic histories might exist. In fact, Reiner had even fought against his forces in the past, in his days among the Alliance... yet, that seemed an eternity ago...

He looked upon the records he had long ago been provided. This corporate chokehold placed upon the people was something Reiner had already place upon the heads of those under his prevue, for he had often wished to look upon the works of the corporate entities that had so desperately tried to take their hold within the Empire.

It mattered little, however....

Those that didn't fully understand would find themselves in the dark, and if there was one thing Reiner was proficient at...

It was fighting in the shade.

As he entered, he would look each companion in the eye, his cold, steel gaze never breaking.

"I await what is needed of me..."

Terrible noises, terrible lights, terrible people and it all combined into a terrible place beneath the underbelly of Corsin. The situation had worsened ever since the incoming battles against the traitor Admiral, not that Ashel really cared that she missed out on that mission assignment. Of course perhaps a resort security detail might have been ideal. Case and point she watched intently as a group of suspicious looking gangsters roamed the nearby alleyway.

Ashel allowed her HUD to keep tabs on them, not that she intended to investigate whether or not they were anti-imperial collaborators. Passively observing people tended to yield far healthier results for her and her squad’s well-being. I’m not ISB, so not in my purview to dig and snoop around. Relaxing her trigger finger by flipping on her safety, Ashel walked back into the nearby outpost. Prefab structures weren’t always the safest places to call a base, but when the only thing she needed to worry about were small arms fire and blades these prefabs were more than sufficient.

She stepped inside and looked down, with a soft groan she kicked her feet to shake off whatever liquid she had stepped on. Looking around she spotted her replacement on the patrol, helmet-less and seemingly unaware. With quick movement she smacked the poor soul backside of his head.

“You’re late, get your bucket on and get out there Private.” Ashel barked as she took the spot oppistore of the poor trooper and sat down. “Get going, else I’d write you up to the LT,” She further encouraged the Private in front of her named Sam.

“So anything-”

“If there was; I would have begun a debriefing instead of threats, so go on, those streets won't patrol themselves.” Ashel interrupted, her eyes narrowing and Sam quickly stumbled towards the exit. Helmet desperately attempting to lock against the clasps.

She removed her own helmet and placed it in front of her on the table, only a few more days of patrolling before they would get rotated out. So far only needed to patch up some stab wounds and burnings. If I can get off this rock before I need to report a fatality I could get a commendation from the LT. Ashel mused if the food on the planet tasted better than on the Destroyers, perhaps she would need to stash away a few things before getting back on those naval transports.

They had all sacrificed so much for the core, this victory decisive but it was far from the end of the conflict. She knew from experience to what ends the Galactic Alliance to try to force their dominion over all worlds. There were great strides that needed to be made, yet before this war could truly come to an end.

She glanced slightly at her arm as he mentioned it. "Yes, we fight to preserve what it means to be Tetan. Our people helped build the first republic and were allowed to keep our identity and culture. Yet the alliance has stripped that and more from us, a lot more than just my arm. We fight to preserve who we are and will die for it if we have too." Those words a cold warning. Though it went deeper than that for Dyans, she lost her kingdom, her family, and nearly her life to the alliance during the Maw wars for the core. The arm was a small cost compared to what they had already taken from her and she would let the Dark Empire do the same.

"Let us proceed." She said as she started to move to the chambers. "Hopefully, this time there will be a better outcome then the last." The remark was a bit biting but reminder that the Krath had been betrayed by the Dark Empire and it's previous Emperor a man whom the Krath had been allies with in the Maw.

She made her way to the chambers and took a seat at the head of one end of the table. Several of the delegation of Teta joined her taking seats. She sat down crossing her legs and adjusting her prosthetic arm, so it sat comfortably across her lap. "How should we proceed? Are we waiting for anyone else?"

It didn't take long for agents of The Circle to scoop her up, taking both her and her possessions into custody. In complete silence they marched her, blindfolded, through backways and side streets to their compound. Once inside, they brought her before one of the leaders of the criminal organization, removed her blindfold, and tried to force her to her knees, which ended in failure as Jin X remained upright in defiance.

The man, average in height and weight with a receding hair line and patches of white hair invading what was once a full round of black on his head, starred at the Fiend, rubbing his left index finger over a scar that ran horizontal under his right eye. He was dressed in clothes that screamed elegance and riches, but his overall appearance bellowed otherwise. He looked at her weapons that laid at her feet, smirked, and looked upon the monstrosity that stood before him.

"Killing in our territory without writ or our support is sorely frowned upon. It is the will of The Circle who deems who lives...and who dies. Not a stranger. The only reason you live still, is I am told you wish to speak to us. So, speak before I pass judgment." Calling upon the Force, she removed the crude bindings, letting them hit the concrete floor with an echoing thud. She could see in the eyes of her judger that he was not expecting that. And even more less expecting to the man was when she again used the Force to retrieve her two hilts and pistol replacing them to their resting areas, knowing even armed she wasn't a threat to him in this compound, or so he was led to believe.

"My name is Jin X and I represent the Dark Empire. We are here to liberate this planet from oppression and put forth a regime beneficial to all that align with our philosophies. Join us and you shall reap the benefits, oppose us and we will erase your legacy from the halls of history. We are aware you have conflicting interests with another organization, and perhaps we can come to a mutual arrangement to aid you in turn for favors. This is an offer you should highly consider. As for murdering in your territory, it is not in my nature to offer up apologies...and I shall not offer up one now."

Already landing and soon facing down dug in positions while the squads attempted to push through. Trask would grit his teeth through his helm, it didn’t help that the dust kicked up by blaster fire was obscuring the visor of his helm. Kat continued to lay down blast after blast, she looked to Trask her core world accent couldn’t help showing the snark. “You wanted excitement, you got some.” Trask would growl as he took cover by the wall of a settlement. Trapper continued to unleash wave after wave of heavy blaster fire. His hands felt hot from the intense heat, the heavy blaster rifle was sprayed around hearing the cries of several rogue Stormtroopers. “My guess, I think we aren’t far off from the palace. Dug themselves in nice and tight, but we gotta cut through the streets.” Trapper said as in that moment he ducked his head, a thermal detonator would boom almost destroying the duracrete wall that he kept cover by.

“I don’t see any other options. We can stay and keep this back and forth, or we keep pushing.” Trask would say coldly between exchanges of blaster fire. “Move up!” He shouted, his feet cautiously moving while laying down suppressing fire, Kat and Trapper would fall behind, blaster fire being sprayed to keep the rogues off their backs. “Let’s see how they like these!” Kat said with some smugness, her blaster put down for two active thermal detonators in her hands. “Make a hole!” Trapper said as he looked to the far side of the street, rogue stormtroopers crowding around a street that would form an opening through the enemy lines. Trask and Trapper kept up the pressure of blaster fire, while Kat launched the detonators towards the opening. The rogues would attempt to flee, but before they could an explosion would rock the other side of the street.

“That’s more like it.” Trask said with some appreciation, it wasn’t long that the squad was pushing through the cover of the smoke, hitting the next street to slip through enemy lines. The palace loomed like a giant that threatens to cover the city. There was still heavy exchanges of blaster ire while they crossed, now going from an open area into tight corners of dwellings, shops, and alleyways. “Careful, they could be watching us.” Trapper said as he kept the heavy blaster close to him. The squads would slip through while the defenders were busy attempting to hold the line. There was an eerie quiet mixed with sounds of battle, yet the whole squad felt uneasy going from street to street.

Sularen remained seated, his posture properly adjusted and his hands clasped on the conference table as both the Moff of Jaemus and the Director of the OIT entered the room, offering a small exchange of words as they took their seats ready to hear what the Warlord of the Empire had in mind for the two individuals. While this was Sularen's first time meeting with both individuals there was no time or need for small pleasantries as the priority was to find the necessary solutions to the problem that was the Corporate defiance to the Empire.

Once both Antipater and Ghadi made themselves comfortable, Sularen proceeded to speak up addressing both individuals. "Moff Antipater, Director Ghadi. Thank you for joining me as a very important matter discuss." Sularen began, speaking in his usual professional and cordial tone. "Currently we are facing an embargo issued by a collection of Corporations that call themselves the Corporate Interest Guild in response to our decree, although i'm sure you already know that." Sularen explained.

"While we can easily implement measures to make up for the withdrawal of certain corporations from the Empire such as the Trade Federation, the issue remains that we are now in conflict with this so-called Corporate Interest Guild and i am certain that they will act to further undermine us economically-wise and attempt to force us to submit to their demands for what they call free trade and open diplomacy." the Warlord added. "As such i wish to take action against the Corporate Interest Guild, however their businesses are scattered all across the galaxy in places that are beyond our reach and trying to use conventional methods to force the CIG will only put a strain on our resources."

"This is why i summoned you both, so that we can discuss more...unconventional means to dismantle the CIG and remind them that they are not above governments, that they are not above the Empire, and that they owe us a debt for their defiance."

The droid moff's faceplate betrayed only a dark reflection of his immediate environment. A lonely, red photoreceptor emitted a dim and inscrutable glow.

"I don't believe this... Enterprise... Of theirs may be dismantled." There was a palpable contempt in that word, 'enterprise.' Antipater had no love for those institutions. And yet... "They have found a mutual enemy in us. And contrary to their nature, they view one another as allies rather than competitors."

As it often was in history, sufficiently large corporations would always seek the most cost-effective path forward. It did not take terribly advanced equations to calculate that coexistence, collaboration, mutual conspiring was far more lucrative than actually attempting to surpass and destroy one another. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't lonely at the top; it was rather quite crowded.

"Still, their impudence warrants a response. I suggest issuing bounties on their senior executives, employees, and assets. They must be made to feel unsafe and at risk, and all those outside the guild must be made to feel unsafe and at risk merely by association. Moreover, the rest of the Braxant Run must be folded into the Empire. It will deprive their largest benefactors of several lucrative systems."

That would also bring Jaemus into the Empire and allow Antipater to crush the rebellion on his planet once and for all... But that was surely only a secondary concern.

In orbit, Onrai's ships continued to duel with and blast the various rebel ships. A sign crossed the lips of the manifestation aboard the Heresiarch, one of the Sovereign Elite battlecruisers crafted a substantive time ago. The conflict remained substantive, as it was, even as her mind was at least partially preoccupied with a number of other affairs. The ships would be salvageable enough anyways.

-

"That would be a waste of time." A voice responded to the Imperial Warlord, shadows manifesting and congealing as they did. "Corporate executives are infinitely replaceable insofar as corporations go. Place a bounty on one, and little necessarily changes. If you were to target their assets, such might do more substantive damage, but it's also equally likely that said companies will simply reacquire more assets from elsewhere." Onrai's shaded form eyed to the left and right. "So far as the issue the megacorporations cause us, we should push for autarky - and rely on nothing any of them have to offer. There is nothing that prevents us from producing our own resources in numbers to satisfy the needs of the Imperial citizenry." Plain defiance was a simple solution, and she wasn't exactly unfamiliar with embargoes.

Reiner patiently listened to those in the room, some of whose perspectives he appreciated more than others, yet he would keep such thoughts to himself. For now, he would simply nod in acknowledgement to each as they voiced their thoughts.

"I should have you all know..." he would say with an indifferent tone.

"The OIT has already taken great measures to oversee these corporate individuals within our borders."

He left out the part where they were monitoring individuals like Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe , but those gathered didn't have need for such information.

His eyes would drift to Onrai, an individual that Reiner didn't trust as far as he could throw, and he certainly couldn't throw a Force user any further than a large boulder.

"Onrai's ideas have merit, in truth. Our own production should outweigh our needs for the corporate entities that dare defy our decree."
