Sword of Judgment: Need Alchemist, Master Forgers, and Enchanters.

Alright so, something i've been wanting to do since i came onto this site was to make a weapon for Winter that was truly iconic and unique to her. Thing is, i'm a bloody scrub and don't know half of the weapons that have existed on this site. I mean, as of late i've been brushing up, i know what Vibroswords are, lightsabre, ect. Ya know, the common things that everyone and their mother has lol.

But recently i came to see someone known as [member="Isley Verd"] do something with a weapon that really caught my attention. He designed a weapon shaped like a Tomahawk. This weapon had rather special properties and was capable (Or so i am told) of slicing through Beskar like 'butter'. End quote.

So after reading his submission, going on the wiki and digging around for like six hours, and then asking around on the site. I see it's going to take hella work to make something like that. So hats off to Isley for pulling it off. *Tips hat*.

So through and through, i want to make a weapon similar to the Tomahawk but different in function and design.

Now, i'm not sure what image i will use to represent the weapon yet. But i know i want it to take the form of a sword. Single edged similar to that of a Katana.

As for the effects of the blade. There are three things i wanted to try and do. First and foremost, the ability to cut through almost any metal. (Beskar, Titanium, ect). The second, is its specific detail to never harm an innocent soul. I don't know how this would be achieved. But if ones heart is pure and absent of sin, when the blade goes to cut them down, it like...phases right through them almost like a ghost of some sort. However, for those who have committed great sins, they get cut down. As for the third, it's a bit of a stretch, but i was wanting the sword to like...respond to Winters signature. So if someone else tried to touch the blade, they would end up having something happen to them. Maybe some kind of force drain or curse or something. I dunno, not necessary just thought it might be neat.

So, does anyone think they can help me build this thing? Winter does not know Alchemy. And while i could just slap it into her skillset i would never be able to pull it off. Plus thats just straight up wrong xD.

Soooo, yeah. Master Forgers, Alchemist, Enchanters. I call upon your awesomeness ffffffff

Magic sword, huh?

Well, it's hard to get a blade to cut through stuff as well as a lightsabre, but it can be done.

Similarly you can have it bound to her so that only she can properly use it.

The 'good of heart' thing doesn't work though. Wrong setting...wrong genre.

Yeah, i figured the phasing thing would be a nono. I just remember seeing a force power on the Wiki that allowed phasing through material objects. And Winter is a witch. So i was like 'Hmmm...what if?'

There are only four weapons on all of SW Chaos capable of penetrating beskar, as far as I am aware. Two of them come in the form of lightsabers that are connected to a very large power source. One is a beskar dagger that can pierce a beskar chest-plate once before needing to be replaced/repaired. And the other is the axe that you listed above. Of them all, the axe is probably the most improbable design... but it's also the only one that used Sith Alchemy to achieve its goal. So... the improbability kinda makes sense.

There are also a number of weapons that bypass armor entirely. The Akovin Relentless Blade comes to mind. It's entirely non-lethal and does stunning/numbing damage only... But even Beskar'kandar does nothing to stop it.

As far as alchemical enhancements go... [member="Ember Rekali"] is the man I talk to when I want to know about space magic.

Now... if you wanted a piercing weapon like a Rapier to punch beskar... It could be done with a mono-molecular edge on the tip, a beefy design, and a strong arm.
A cutting edge like the above-mentioned Axe? Master level alchemy is about the only way to do it without resorting to lightsaber tech and a really, really big battery.

Also. here are some pretty pictures for you.

As a stop-gap to get what you're after... I'd suggest a dual-bladed weapon. Basically, a lightsaber with a powerful enough power pack to cut Beskar connected to a Relentless Blade.... Then find any canon artifact, gem, spell, exc that allows you to probe a person's mind... and use alchemy to tie that into the weapon.

The effect? If the person you are attacking thinks that they are guilty of whatever you are accusing them of, they get hit by a very powerful lightsaber.
If the person you are attacking believes that they are not guilty of whatever you are accusing them of, the weapon switches to its stunning setting.

The weakness of the design?
It's up to the defending writer to decide if their character feels guilty or innocent about the accusations.
Aka, wouldn't work on Ali Hadrix.

=p

Now that. *Points at your post* is awesome. Nice to know someone here can help me with my goals xD. Anywho, all of the above are pretty cool themselves =0. But for this i am trying to avoid technological advancements and revert to a more primitive form of weapon. So Sith Alchemy, Force Imbue, And Enchantment are the only way to achieve that it seems.

Frankly, all other effects might end up being cast out for the single effect that the blade can cut through virtually any form of metal with ease. But it's weakness is Lightsabres and other alchemy based objects as well as certain kinds of earth. But metal, flesh, and bone can be cut through rather easily.

Well, to be fair. The ability to counter a lightsaber the same way someone can counter powerful armor is kind of hard to do. I mean, its super heated plasma. Unless i line the edge of the blade with Cortosis, thats about all i'm going to be able to do ffffff.

And not death to Mandos. I like Mandos, they are cool and Winter is allied with several of them. It's the 'metal slicing' i'm after to be frank. Not just Beskar, but most forms of metal. Rendering most armor obsolete in a way. While you could say i can just 'Get a lightsabre'. Frankly, everyone and their mother has a lightsabre. Chances are if you are force sensitive you have one.

Pretty much just after a practical sword that can cut through powerful materials with relative ease. In a nutshell anyway.

Honestly, on this site, it's easier to create a bladed weapon that can go toe to toe with a lightsaber than it is to create a weapon that can neutralize quality body armor.

The axe mentioned above is host to all sorts of weaknesses and other balancing features. It has a small cutting edge that aids in its slicing power, but is also a very poor weapon to use in a lightsaber duel and is horrible at deflecting blaster bolts. It's pretty much only claim to fame is the ability to cut Beskar body armor, and even that can be neutralized by wearing a Ysalamiri backpack (which are totally a thing).

Even those two lightsabers that are capable of cutting beskar come with the weakness of being fairly unwieldy in a lightsaber duel because of their design.

So... as best as I can tell you... You'll likely have to choose between one or the other. Useful in a lightsaber duel, or useful against armor.

Lightsabre dueling has never been one of those things i've been terribly worried about. I mean, the darn things burn through everything and aside from that they serve little other purpose. Don't get me wrong, they are epic. But uhhh, i play a witch. And as much as i like the idea of progressing into the futuristic age. I wanna keep some form of old fashioned-ness about her. So having an old type of sword which cuts through high grade metals and below easily? Yeah i think i'd be cool with that.

You misunderstand.

Only one of my characters even has a lightsaber. And he'd rather use swords. Larraq, Olivia, and Grozurra all use phrik or beskar swords. They allow the characters to swoosh swoosh with everybody else while still letting them be special snowflakes.

But getting a physical sword that can cut armor better than a lightsaber is going to be a rough sell in the factory. Typically, there are three things to consider with melee weapons like this. Either it is a good dueling weapon that can go toe to toe with a lightsaber and can bypass armor, but is totally non-lethal.... Or it's a weapon that can punch armor with lethal force, but use useless against a lightsaber. Or its lethal, good against lightsabers, and has similar cutting limitations as lightsabers.

If you wanted a dagger or an axe or a bow or something, this might be a bit easier. But a sword would have all three at the same time. Logically, that would be a quick fix... you could just make the weapon so heavy that it's useless in combat outside of delivering a finishing blow... But with all the force augmented strength and hulking characters on the board, making something weigh a lot really does nothing as far as weaknesses are concerned.

So... figuring out a way to balance the submission will be a pain.

Not to mention the obsene amount of development it will probably need.

Was there a metal you had in mind that it couldn't cut through? Because once you've gotten up to beskar there's pretty much only one thing left and it's unilaterally banned.

And this is just for me, but why did you post a picture of a double-edged sword if you want something like a katana?

Also a sentient sword that can read a person's aurora but needs (near) direct contact to influence would both be able to stop you from harming an innocent and deter thieves. However gloves would defeat this (unless brackets), and it'd be like introducing a supporting NPC.

The first is potentially possible, the latter is certainly possible, I am not quite certain of the phasing. I would ask Isley and @Jorus Merril for tips there.
[member="Queen Sovereign"]

I know of one instance of Forceified matter phasing in and out on command: Master Plett's hideyhole on Belsavis. Little secret stash in the wall of his room. That said, it took a very senior Jedi Master to make, and a good bit of focus and time to use. Even if it's the closest precedent to your phasery thing, it's still not close enough to be justification. That, and it really is the wrong genre, I think.

Now, if we're talking about pairing a multifunction technological blade with something that reads people's truth-sense, like [member="Olivia Dem'adas"] suggests -- that might be more plausible. Off the top of my head, I don't know of any canon precedents for that. But there's a school of thought that says any Force power can be made into an artifact. I don't often ascribe to that -- I usually prefer to stick to relevant precedents -- but enough of those things have been approved that you've got a case. Then your main obstacle becomes 'can this artifact work on skilled liars, skilled mentalists, people stronger than me'...etc. You'd need serious qualifiers and limits there, plus the OOC disclaimer that's been mentioned -- that it's up to the targeted writer as to how well it works.

Anyways, just some thoughts off the top of my head while I run out the door to work.
