Intent: To create a signature weapon of the Aspect of War.

Development Thread:

Songsteel: In Search of Purpose (21 posts)
Blood gathering for the swordl: Last Stand of the Anselmi (Currently 14 posts)
Creation of the large and power alchemic basin: No Sacrifice, No Victory (104 posts)
The Alchemic Ritual: TBA

Manufacturer: Darth Ferus

Model: N/A

Affiliation: Darth Ferus

Modularity: No

Production: Unique

Material:

Alchemised Songsteel

Alchemised Electrum

Classification: Sith Sword

Size: Hand and a half

Length:

Whole 115 cm

Blade 85 cm

Hilt 30 cm

Weight: 4.5 kg.

Special Features:

  • Loyalty: A blessing and a curse. The blade can only be wielded by Ferus due to its deep connection with the man. Anyone other than Ferus to take up the blade would feel the Force within them rapidly eaten away, and eventually they would die.
Strengths:

  • Sith Sword: It has some of the typical Sith Sword attributes. Impervious to Lightsabers and Reflects/redirects blaster bolts

  • Force Drain: The Sword of War is a passively drains the Force of those it touches. Cutting into someone drains a slight amount, but deeper, more mortal wounds can cause extreme fatigue if the blade lingers. With this, Ferus can be healed.

  • Force Diet: As the blade eats the force, it can be used to eat physical manifestations of the Force such as Dark Tendrils, Force Lightning, non mental illusions, and can even absorb a force push if it comes in contact with the blade.

Weaknesses:

  • Sith Sword: It's heavy just like any other Sith Sword, and doesn't cut as well as a Lightsaber.

  • Force Wound: The blade was created from millions of lives slaughtered. Where it goes, the wound or disturbance in the Force can be felt.

  • Addiction: Force Drain is a highly addictive ability, and the wielder of this blade is not an exception. Enough usage will eventually overcome and kill the holder.

  • Corruption: The blade is a pure source of the Dark Side, and being around it can and will corrupt others as well as the wielder.
Description: (Include some strengths and weaknesses here. Describe some of the history behind the submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)

A normal sith sword sits at around 2-3 kg, one made from Songsteel would likely be between 0.8-1.5 kg.

Force Severing: The Sword of War cuts the Force itself when swung. On a Force User, it can apply the same effect as Force Breach through major cuts, and simply being in the presence of the sword prevents any outward use of the Force, creating a wound around the wielder where ever he goes. Given enough time, the sword can be used to completely sever a Force User from the Force itself (Permission needed). Force Negating: The wound it creates prevents the usage of outward force abilities on the user, as stated above. Gripping the wielder, zapping them with lightning, sensing their mind. All of it cannot be done.
While you can imbue the effects of various force abilities either through Sith magic (Sith Runes) or alchemy (handwavium, there's no real explanation of how just that it can happen), these powers generally only effect the blade itself. Being a wound in the force, also, does not negate the ability of using the force - anyone who uses Drain Life/Essence/etc become wounds in the force and continue to need to use that same force ability - or being effected by it (see Darth Nihilus). You can probably get away with making the sword itself capable of cutting through physical manifestations of the force and acting like a Terentatek hide imbued with Rave Merril's style of Sith Alchemy (or a similar method) in order to make the sword itself become completely unaffected by the force, but you won't be likely capable of getting a Ysalamari-like area of nullification approved, especially as how there is no method of using the force that does this in canon.

Here's a board example of what I'm talking about, which I've been drawing heavy influence on my own alchemy from.

Keep in mind that example has 277 posts of development towards it (counting the total post counts of both, not quite individual post counts). I would suggest integrating ideas from there to here and altering them to fit the nature of your ideal sword.

And make sure to mention it as a resource if you do use ideas from it.

That sword is beautiful, and more or less what I was trying to do with this blade.

Plus of course, the wound and the ability to sever the Force usage of another person with a significant blow.

I would suggest restricting the drain effect to touch/cut. Just pump a lot of dev specifically into adding that to your sword and you'll be on the right track. From there you should be ready to be reviewed in the factory.
