I am doing an interest check as I had an idea I wanted to share. The idea as made apparent in the title would to hold a tournament of sorts. I am sure the concept of a tournament is not a new one but the method I am proposing may be. For those of you that have seen the anime Yu Yu Hakusho will understand and would have witnessed it. I am proposing a 3v3 tournament. The rounds could be fought three on three, best of three ( the first team with two wins advances to the next round.) winner stays (the character that wins stays in the match until they are incapacitated. Maybe you want to have one person represent your team and one match decides it all. That's the beauty of each round. Before it starts the teams decide on how their match/s will be fought. Each winning team advancing.
I chose the team size of three for the sake of time but this can be negotiated. The finals would be mandatory best of three so that each team member had a chance to display why they had made it to the finals. (and i believe it will be the quickest way to finish the matches seeing as during the early rounds you could possibly have all three of the matches taking place at once to help advance quicker.
The prize would obviously be pride and glory but depending how many team sign up maybe cartels or different factions could offer more of an incentive. Perhaps the teams could wager within the rounds for some personal gain. These are just ideas but I feel like a site wide tournament with teams, all fighting their rounds different ways while controlling different characters would be quite exhilarating.
