---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :
Sterile - Not that she would necessarily call this a weakness, but it does mean no dynasty
Domestic - Synnove has to find a spouse roughly every five years, otherwise she dies. It's a problem.
Self-absorbed - This is perhaps not surprising. Those closest to her die, she goes on. This is a fact, why wouldn't she focus on herself? Not to say she doesn't indulge her partner, but she definitely sees them as secondary to herself.
Hedonist - She likes nice things. Clothes, jewelry, ships, speeders, wines, food. This is not the girl you take camping. Exotic flowers, animals, materials.. Dabbling in drugs, and of course physical pleasures are all par for the course.
Smart - She's had a lot of time to amass a lot of knowledge
Meticulous - She might do things on a whim, but when it comes to things like her estate.. Synnove is very good and very careful about paperwork.
Rich - She was basically born to be a gold-digger, and oh is she good at it.
Assets - Beyond the credits and possessions, most humanoids find Synnove attractive, and she knows it.
APPEARANCE:
Petite, with dark brown hair, brown eyes and lips she's spent a century learning to use to wrap men around her little finger with.
Synnove is always dressed well, often accented with obscenely expensive pieces of jewelry.
BIOGRAPHY:
Synnove, like all known Life-Bearers, was born on Leria Kerlsil. It is said that Life-Bearers are extremely rare. This is true. It is also likely not helped by the fact that they are largely indistinguishable from the baseline humans they're born to, and unless they or someone around them realizes what they are, they will waste away and die upon hitting sexual maturity if they do not share a bond with someone.
Synnove was lucky enough to be born into a fairly well off family who were if not part of the upper crust, at least familiar with them, and with that came at least a passing knowledge of what a Life-Bearer was.
Hurrah problem solved, you say! To a degree yes. She was not consigned to a mysterious death on any case. Still, being a Life-Bearer brought with it certain expectations and pressures. Prior to all this Synnove had no time for boys, filled with dreams and ambitions. She was going to be a doctor, and cure the stubborn illnesses that still made their way around, save the galaxy from the next plague! Or maybe she would be a lawyer, and defend the innocent, making a name for herself. Maybe she would even be a diplomat, and bring peace between two warring parties, saving millions of lives. The point, ladies and gentlemen, was that even if they weren't concrete plans, this was a girl who was going to accomplish something and make her mark.
Until suddenly because of a rare twist of genetics she was expected to marry old men. Dying men. To dedicate her lie, her attention, her energies to them. To just live in luxury and opulence. It wasn't really something you could complain about, but try telling that to a sixteen year old girl who's just been married off in a ceremony she can't break to an octogenarian.
The first few bonds were.. trying. On all those involved. It didn't help that by nature she had to be the one to remove her support, to effectively kill them or risk death herself.
Still, when you find out you're effectively immortal you have time to get over these things. Eventually Synnove came to appreciate the finer things in life. She cannot deny what she is, but nor does she have to fully embrace it. She left her home planet, making her way into the wider galaxy, where no one had even heard of Life-Bearers, let alone expected to find them. Her bonds do not necessarily know what they're getting into these days. One kiss with a little blood exchanged is all it takes. No more old men, she takes who she wants, they live it up for awhile, they die, she goes on.
It's a hard ol' life...
