PERSONALITY
Syrenno maintains an air of aloofness, speaking with a measured, philosophical tone that leaves others uncertain of his true motives. Calm and controlled, Syrenno approaches every situation with a stoic detachment, never allowing his emotions to rule him, which makes him both unpredictable and highly efficient in his actions.

As a former priest of the Ember of Vahl, Syrenno's outlook on life is shaped by his complex relationship with fire. He believes in its duality, seeing it not only as a force of destruction but also as a guiding light. This nuanced perspective led him to be branded a heretic, but it also grants him a deep sense of purpose. His ability to adapt and his skill in battle make him resourceful, allowing him to navigate the galaxy as a mercenary while spreading his beliefs.

Though his moral code is unconventional, prioritizing his personal mission over conventional ideas of right and wrong, Syrenno shows a certain patience and wisdom when interacting with others. Like a mentor, he seeks to enlighten those he meets, though his guidance is firm and unwavering, reflecting the strength of his convictions. His enigmatic nature leaves others unsure of his intentions, but his presence always commands respect and intrigue.

STRENGTHS

Warrior: Like many others who were born into the Ember of Vahl, Syrenno has been taught the ways of how to fight with a sword and other manner of martial arts

Priest: As a priest of Vahl, albeit an excommunicated on, he has a connection to the mystical side of the Force. He is also has the ability to talk to be people and inspire them in a spiritual manner.

WEAKNESSES

Apostate: Due to his beliefs, he is an outcast to his people, and is marked for harm by any of his former comrades.

Brittle: Because of his Vahla heritage, he has a more cartilaginous endoskeleton. While this makes him more flexible and nimble, it makes him something of a glass cannon. He is more susceptible to breaks than a full-blooded human.

HISTORY
Syrenno Maraan, born from the union of a Vahla mother and a Human father, was a striking figure from the start. His fiery red hair marked him as special in the eyes of his people—believed to be a sign of divine favor from the goddess Vahl herself. In Vahla tradition, children born with such traits were considered “blessed” by the goddess of fire and destruction. As a result, Syrenno was inducted into the Ember of Vahl priesthood at a young age, where he was taught that the Force manifested as fire and flame, a tool of chaos, destruction, and power.

For years, Syrenno embraced these teachings, excelling not only in his study of the Force but also in the martial skills necessary to carry out the will of Vahl. His skill with the lightsaber and his deep connection to the Force’s darker aspects made him a respected member of the Ember. However, as his understanding of the Force deepened, so too did his inner conflict.

Syrenno began to question the single-minded view of fire as merely a force of destruction. In his meditations, he started seeing fire as more than just a tool for ruin—it was also a beacon in the dark, a source of light against the evils of the galaxy. He began to believe that Vahl, the goddess he once saw only as a destroyer, could also be a guiding flame, a protector against the malevolent forces that preyed on the innocent.

When he shared these thoughts with the other priests, Syrenno was branded a heretic. The Ember of Vahl, strict in their adherence to their dogma of destruction, could not tolerate Syrenno's new interpretation. For his blasphemy, they cast him out, stripping him of his title and banishing him from their ranks.

Now, wandering the galaxy as a mercenary-priest, Syrenno survives by selling his combat skills to the highest bidder. He carries the knowledge and abilities honed within the Ember, but his true mission is personal. He travels not only to stay alive but also to spread his newfound belief—a message that fire can protect just as it destroys, that the goddess Vahl may serve as a lantern against evil rather than an avatar of chaos.

In every battle he fights, Syrenno sees a chance to prove his belief, wielding both the dark side and his martial prowess in service of those he feels worthy of Vahl’s guiding flame. His journey is a lonely one, filled with danger and opposition from those who once called him brother, but Syrenno remains steadfast in his faith that even the darkest fire can light the way.
