  • The droid's mobility is limited when standing on its three legs
  • Vulnerable leg joints
  • Its repeater blasters are of limited use against vehicles
DESCRIPTION
When the Mandalorians attempted to negotiate with the Colicoids, HoldoWare offered some exotic (by Colicoid standards) meat from Oorn Tchis to entice the Colicoid Creation Nest to allow HoldoWare to build droidekas under license; Under the licensing agreement, HoldoWare is allowed to modify the weapons loadout, passive defense systems, as well as the targeting software but no more than that; the rest of the chassis must be built according to the original specifications, with no other part allowed to be changed. Which meant that the rolling mode was retained, on which it could neither fire nor use the shield generator, and the 3-leg mode on which it could fire and use its shield generator, but be limited in its mobility. The consequences are that the mobility-related weaknesses of the original droideka remained, as are their rather vulnerable legs, but the proprietary targeting software will prioritize the joints in infantry as well as unarmored/lightly-armored walkers. In addition, the twin ion cannons were replaced by twin repeater blaster cannons. In conclusion it is still a droid for filling an anti-infantry role.
