STRENGTHS
  • KD57 3-Chamber Repulsorlift Engine - This specialized system is often found on Hutt Sailbarges with Aether Systems adopting their use in their Repulsorlift vehicles. This engine system permits a vehicle to easily traverse a variety of terrain including sand, snow, ice, and even water.
  • Enhanced Power Couplings and Sub-Systems - The T6-B has been outfitted with enhanced power couplings and sub-systems to increase the firing rate of its primary armament beyond a faster rate than average.
  • Squad Support - The T6-B was designed to incorporate the carrying capacity of a light transport and is capable of deploying a squad of soldiers from a rear hatch located beneath and to the rear of its primary weapon system. This allows the vehicle to carry additional support while on missions or to ferry scouts to remote locations for reconnaissance missions.
WEAKNESSES
  • Light Vehicle - Though well armored and able to shrug off most small arms fire carried by Infantry units, the vehicle is not suited to face off against heavier armed vehicles or armored elements.
  • Anti-Infantry - The T6-B was designed to fulfill a niche role and lacks the heavier armaments that would permit it to stand toe-to-toe against heavier vehicles or fortifications. If thrown against such vehicles, its armaments would be woefully outclassed by the heavier armaments that would be brought to bear against the vehicle.
  • Cornering - While the vehicle is more than capable of reaching higher rates of speed and accelerating at a moderate pace, it has difficulty navigating corners or executing tight turns. This often requires that the vehicle begin a turn earlier than needed, or perform a multipoint turn to make it around a corner, leaving it highly vulnerable in tighter confines such as narrow streets encountered in urban combat.
DESCRIPTION
Throughout the Galaxy the brave men and women of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force find themselves pitted against the equally skilled and determined opposition of Sith Troopers and Mandalorian Crusaders. In many instances, the outcome of an engagement can boil down to the support that the Infantry on either side has available, and with that in mind, Aether Systems developed the T6-B Repulsor Tank. This lightweight tank was designed specifically to fulfill Anti-Infantry roles and provide support for Reconnaissance missions behind enemy lines where a sturdy and agile vehicle can mean the difference between life and death.

Developed on the chassis of the older T2-B Repulsor Tank, the T6-B incorporates enhanced power couplings and sub-systems that were not available to the T2-B until later in its operational lifespan. These enhanced systems increase the overall firing rate of the vehicle's primary armaments beyond a faster rate than average, whilst also producing a higher-powered blaster bolt. Unlike its predecessor, the T6-B is also equipped with a Grenade Mortar to provide additional support to Infantry forces, however, it is limited in how frequently it can be utilized and often requires the vehicle to return to base to resupply once its ordnance has been expended. Another upgrade to the T6-B can be seen in its passenger compartment which did not exist in the T2-B; with this compartment allowing the T6-B to deploy a full squad of infantry for additional support to carry a recon squad behind enemy lines for reconnaissance missions.

Though classified as a Tank, the T6-B lacks the heavier armaments of battle tanks and is often woefully outgunned when pitted against such vehicles due to its focus as an Anti-Infantry platform. Likewise, though its defenses are more than capable of handling the small arms fire brought to bear by Infantry, it is not suited to engage heavier armored vehicles and can be easily pushed aside by an advancing collum of enemy armor. As the Galactic Alliance continues with its planned modernization and standardization of its armed forces to create a well-organized military force from the hodgepodge of its previous years, the T6-B fills the role of Infantry Support Vehicle that the Galactic Alliance has been sorely lacking.
