Built in x, T8-ER was one of the first of the ADV line of Astromechs created to serve the Order of the Judges. However a bad batch of personality chips led to these initial units suffering from what is now called by many the "dude" effect. In response to complaints about the previous models "mothering" tendencies the ADV model was made to be more easy going and less verbally combative. However this combine with the faulty logic chips led to the first 100 or so being Judges as unreliable.
T8-ER was schedule to be decommissioned and scrapped for parts when deputy Bantam discovered him and convince a squib engineer to part with him after losing badly to the young judge in a game of sabacc in place of the many talons she would have lost.
Now seeing Mako as his master, and the man who saved him from dismantlement. He does his best to serve the judge, when not lost in thought, and dreaming of an oil bath and refit.
