OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
Based on the work of Dr. Zoad, FODOS, FOCIE and PVS came together to create one of two pieces of technology the first of which is the TPE. The tachyon pulse emitter which seeks to influence other tachyon particles by pinging them. In this manner the tachyons from the TPE work to get other tachyon particles to respond or pingback. Once it gets a response it records that responds to sensor databanks and seeks to get another ping.
The TPE only waits ten seconds and is heavily reliant on the TGE to notify it of when other tachyons are in the area. Once a stealthed enemy ship reverts back to realspace the TGE’s job is to find the trace tachyon particles either through space, subspace or sub-hyperspace. If it finds these trace tachyon particles then the TPE can get to work. If the Tachyon Grid Emitter cannot find a signature of either trace tachyon particles or quasiparticles then the Pulse Emitter has nothing to do and the ship moves on.
If the TGE does find trace tachyon particles/quasiparticles the TPE then has a job to do.
Note: The TPE is not a device that is activated automatically, a sensor operator must always be aware of their surroundings and pay attention all their devices. The TPE must be activated in order to work, therefore; a sensor operator must always be alert for when the TGE alerts them to possible activity so they can activate the TPE.
Intent: To create a tachyon emitter, enabling the First Order to better detect stealth/cloaked vessels as they enter First Order space/territory.

Relies on the initial tachyon grid emitter to identify a unique tachyon signature.
It then influences the behavior of other tachyon particles, and quasiparticles - making them easier to trace.
Sends tachyon signatures to sensor databanks so enemy stealth ships are easier to recognise.
DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
Utilizes the TGE (Tachyon Grid Emitter) and uses that Grid Emitter in order to ping trace tachyon particles or quasiparticles from enemy stealth vessels.
It influences other tachyon particles by sending them “pings.” It then waits for the other tachyon particles to ping back. Example; a user sends a message and waits for a response. In the same manner the TPE (Tachyon Pulse Emitter) waits for a reply from another tachyon particle.
If no reply is given, the TPE moves on (ten second wait time).
If a reply is given the TPE sends out another message, and waits again.
It repeats this process enabling operators to locate enemy stealth vessels within standard sensor range.
Strengths:
Pinged: The TPE is able to ping trace tachyon particles/quasi particles by pinging them in order to help sensor operators locate enemy stealth vessels.
Limited Time: The TPE will only wait ten seconds for a response.
Proprietary: The TPE relies on proprietary hardware, more specifically the Tachyon Grid Emitter. Without the TGE this piece of equipment does not work.
Range: Standard sensor range to short range only, nothing beyond this as the TGE doesn’t have a big enough grid to do so.
