Tactics and Whatnot (Pravis)

Noah sighed as he sat in the Protectorate's state of the art training facility, or the facilities armory, to be more exact, meticulously clean a old OPR-1 blaster rifle. Noah had been contacted by a new member of the Protectorate to help him understand combat tactics better. Noah had knowledge of a lot of military tactics, being a military history buff, but his most efficient area of tactical expertise are small unit tactics, due to his past experience as a commando for the Republic. Noah sighed once more and racked the OPR-1 and went to work on a OPRC-1 Rotary Cannon and waited for the person to arrive.

The tall Kaleesh strolled through the hallways of the training facility, admiring the sleek and polished building. He walked through a couple of small doors, until he saw [member=Noah Corek] in the armory. Pravis was looking forward to his training, and despite having military experience in battling the Huk, Sith Overseers and fighting with the Silver Jedi Order, was always open into learning some new tactics. He walked into the armory, and turned to Noah. " You're the guy who's supposed to train me? " Pravis asked bluntly.

Noah heard a voice speak as he finished cleaning the final part of the OPRC-1 and slapped it back into place and screwed it back into place with a screwdriver. "That's: 'you're the guy who is going to train me, sir?'. Name's Colonel Noah Corek, commander of the Omega Pyre and your commanding officer now." Noah told him as he stood and picked two rifles up off of the racks and handed one to Pravis. "That weapon your holding is the OPR-2, the standard issue blaster rifle for the Protectorate. Before I train you in tactics, I gotta see if your good with a rifle first." Noah informed him as he checked his own rifle and began to walk out the door.

Pravis nodded as [member=Noah Corek] corrected him on his question." Thanks, sir." The Kaleesh told his commanding officer, as he followed Noah out of the door. He assumed he was going to a shooting range to test his shooting skills. 'Simple, but effective. ' Pravis thought, thinking about the possible test.

Noah walked for a minute or two and finally came upon a door with the word firing range and opened the door with the swipe of his key card and gestured Pravis to enter. "All right, I'll give you a set amount of time and you'll hit the targets in that amount of time." Noah told him once they were inside.

Pravis nodded at [member=Noah Corek], as he pulled up the rifle and stared through the scope. The Kaleesh pulled the trigger, as a hole appeared on the edge of a target. He grimaced, as it flew off and another target appeared. He fired again, this time barely missing the small center of the target. He grinned, as he shot right around middle, which wasn't that bad. ' Alright, doing good. ' The next shot landed squarely in the center, as Pravis smile grew wider. The last shot landed to the left of the center, which closed off a good round. He turned to Noah, as he began talking. " So, what do you think, sir? "

Noah whistled as he saw Pravis fire multiple shots and most of them landed center-mass. "Nice, most recruits aim for the head and miss, but you were smart enough to aim for the chest." Noah said as he looked down his iron sights and fired, hitting five of the targets in the head. "But a little style never hurt anyone." Noah informed him with a grin as he fired a few more shots.

Pravis smirked as [member=Noah Corek] fired multiple shots into the targets skull, as the Kaleesh lowered the rifle. " I prefer substance, sir. " He replied, as he turned to the door. "So, what now?" As Pravis gazed out the door, and began admiring the huge collection of the armory. He recognized some of the weapons, like what appeared to be a Czerka rifle. This was his first choice, as Pravis used it frequently on his homeworld.

Noah nodded when Pravis mentioned he preferred substance over style. "Smart man. Now follow me and I'll take you to the tactics learning center." Noah informed him as he slung his rifle over his back, letting the magnetic plates on his Omega Advanced Combat Armor keep it in place as he walked out the door and out into the hall.

Pravis followed [member=Noah Corek], as he looked around the halls. " So, what kind of tactics, sir? Guerilla, Navy, Stealth, etcetera?" The Kaleesh asked, as they turned down a couple of corners on their way to the training center. He carried the rifle limply, as it pointed down at the polished floor.

(Sorry for the wait)
"Every type of tactics you can think of. Guerilla, Naval, Stealth, Cavalry and so on." Noah informed him as they rounded another corner and finally came upon the door they were looking for. Noah slid his hand over the control panel on the door and it opened to reveal a classroom of sorts with a holo-projector in the middle.

Pravis listened to [member=Noah Corek]'s listing of the different strategies, nodding with approval. Yet, when they entered the room with a fully-functioning holo-projector, his eyes widened in awe. Various holovids and articles on the tactics of war surrounded him, and the holo-projector crackled to life, revealing an interactive battlefield, allowing one to practice with real tactics used by the Omega Protectorate. " Heh, you people have a big budget? "

Noah nodded to Pravis when he asked if they had a big budget. "The Protectorates top expense it usually the. military. We give them the best training, best weapons and best equipment money can buy." Noah informed him as he walked to the projector and activated it, bring up a holographic display. The display had multiple categories on it, ranging from geurilla to naval. "Pick your categories and then I'll run the sim."

Pravis watched as multiple categories slowly moved across the holo-projector in a circle, as a huge variety of tactics and strategies lay at the Kaleesh's fingertips. He tapped upon the Stealth, Guerilla and Ground categories, as the original menu vanished and was replaced by a loading screw. Pravis sighed, as a loud whirring noise permeated in the room. Who knew the biggest budget also had the biggest load time?
