STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) : Taeluma is known to think on her toes and be somewhat unpredictable, making them difficult to handle and even sometimes dangerous to work with. This also comes with the factor that there is the chance she'll have some kind of answer if needed. However, this spontaneity is mostly noteworthy when behind the controls of a starfighter or in fixing something. Truth is, Taeluma isn't particularly powerful or experienced. The fights and shootouts she has been in, she's mostly just bumbled through it and either through luck or the will of the force, she's made it out okay. She's had some combat training and is somewhat effective, but she's far from a seasoned fighter.
APPEARANCE:
As a Twi'lek, Taeluma looks about how'd you expect. Green skin, twin lekku of about 24 inches in length, humanoid shape. Taeluma is of a rather slim physique, though she isn't exactly petite. Just somewhere between average and athletic in terms of physical ability. She stands about 5'8 in height and weighs around 167 lbs. She has a small bust, B cups at the most, but their noticeable on her figure.
Clothing wise, Taeluma wears a vest with multiple pockets and underneath a crop top to keep cool in the climate of tatooine. She wears a pair of metallic bracers as well, both for their fashion appeal and because they technically count as armor. She wears knee pads of a similar material and a pair of skin tight biker shorts that reach just to her knees. Around her waist is a belt, to which multiple pockets are available as well as a holster for her blaster. She wears a pair of worn leather combat boots. Around her head, she only wears a pair of a pair of goggles and a headband tied around.
Of course, she has multiple outfits, so this can vary a bit.
She does usually wear a long sleeve brown overcoat/cloak as well, especially when going to shady or other unpredictable areas.
BIOGRAPHY:
Taeluma's upbringing was fairly uneventful, raised as a normal kid to two parents on the planet Tatooine. Previously, her mother had been a slave to a nearby crime syndicate and her father a scrapper at a local shipyard. He'd bought her from them, making them a free family of Twi'lek on the planet. Perhaps the one notable thing about Taeluma's childhood is that she learned a lot from her father and perhaps even inherited his talent in mechanics. It wasn't too long until during early-late teens where in she was starting to pull in some pretty impressive hauls of parts on her own.
It was around this time as well though she noticed that people were watching her particularly closely, something she'd complained about often to her family. Her mother's past as a slave had been kept from her mostly, however this explanation did answer a lot of questions. Twi'lek women were often kept as slaves and her skillset was making her particularly attractive to would be slave owners. She also had found out that the Jedi had come to attempt to recruit her to the Order when she was younger, but they'd rejected the offer. Taeluma didn't mind that so much, though such a thing did make her wonder if a connection to the force influenced the outcomes of her life at all.
At age 18, now an adult Taeluma was employed at the same scrapyard her father had been. Using her money to help out with finances and saving most of the rest. Around 6 months later, she bought a scrapped shell of a helix-class light interceptor. Completely non-operable, having barely been able to drag it back to the land around their home. She would spend the next few years working and restoring it to working condition. Although she'd find a few parts pretty difficult to get her hands on. One such part was an LBE Flight Control Computer, which she ended up having to travel to some shady places to ask about. Of course, before embarking on such a trip she'd gotten her hands on some items for self defense, like a vibroblade and blaster, but she'd barely practiced with either of them. The computer was necessary for the ship, otherwise it'd essentially be able to tear itself apart midflight.
Tracking it down to a roaming Jawa sandcrawler, she had to find them beskar in order to trade it for the LBE. Taeluma had no idea where to find Beskar other than the fact she knew it was important to Mandalorians and resistant to Lightsaber strikes and blaster rifle fire. Not knowing what else to do, she took on a local bounty with a bounty hunter, the stated reward being imperial beskar. The task was to find a thief who had been scamming the client for years, and kill them. Unbeknownst to her, this thief was none other than her own father. Once she'd found this out, she couldn't go through with the job and turned on the bounty hunter she'd partnered with. Leading to a shootout that damaged their home, they only managed to take him out when her father activated an assassin droid he'd found and drove him behind cover. Taeluma thinking fast, got into her ship and using the plasburst cannon turrets, shot the cover her former partner was using. The heavy cannon turrets were designed to tear through the hull of a starfighter, and the volley unleashed had killed him.
Taeluma resolved to simply tell the client that it turns out the thief he had been looking for was that very bounty hunter, using evidence from her father and planting it on him. The client bought it, and the imperial beskar chips were hers. Trading the Beskar chips to the Jawas, she'd finally gotten the flight computer and finally, at age 22, her ship was spaceworthy. Not really sure what to do next, she took to space. Initially having wanted to take her parents with her, they decided it'd be better if they laid low and lived the straight and narrow for while.
SHIP:
Helix Class Interceptor Model A, rebuilt title and restored. Plasburst Cannon Turrets are functional and has a functioning hyperdrive system and backup. It has a proton torpedo launcher and two ion cannons as well, but neither are operable due to not being fully restored. Has a carrying capacity of 35 tons and a total crew capacity of 6.
