The second lightsaber that Taiia would carry was constructed with her talents of saber combat in mind, where her padawan saber had been a simple single hilt and blade, she showed an aptitude and flexibility in combat that required a more specialized saber. What was constructed was a blade of her own choosing, twin sabers that could be coupled together to form a saberstaff through an interlocking hilt construction, would afford her the flexibility to shift from engaging multiple opponents to a single combatant with unrivaled speed and precision. The blades were constructed both to be light yet smaller than normal so it would not be unwieldy and still allow for fast movements, songsteel was used to diminish the possibility of the hilts being destroyed by another lightsaber when used as a saberstaff, each blade carries identical construction so they work in harmony instead of seeking to cover weaknesses of the other and both blades bear the signature silver color of the Durindfire crystal.
