Private Take Flight

It was not very often that Jairdain took the time to go through the lightsaber katas she had learned as a Padawan. She had never been a good fighter, but the movements were comforting. So the Jedi Master stood in the middle of an exercise ring and practiced.

Jairdain no longer wore customary Jedi robes and instead wore what was comfortable. Loose pants covered her legs and allowed her to move freely. Her shirt was short-sleeved and showed off her arms.

The woman had fine control of her movements, but they were almost uneducated. Mixing Forms together, she just moved as if she were dancing. With little to no rhyme or reason, she just danced.

Letting out a sigh, she stopped when she heard the steps of another person coming into the room. Not like she had requested to be left alone or anything, but this was a bit unexpected.

Placing the practice saber into its holder, she turned to face her visitor. A smile of recognition came across her face and she gave him a smile.

"How are you? It's been a while since we met."

A'Sura Den had a peace of mind and practicing his lightsaber is one of them.

He ventured to where Jedi hone their skills in combat and sees a familiar face, Jedi Master Jairdain. He observed her movements and was very intrigued. Those were not the movements of a fighter or a warrior. He remembers for her class, She was blind but she can see better than most and more aware on what is around her.

"Indeed. Learned a few things in your class , Master Jairdain Ismet. I hope to get some meditation and apply what I learned to my training. Though, I have to say, what you were doing, how you were moving, I never seen those movements. " A'Sure couldn't get that thought of not knowing combat when he studiend every single combat form of the Jedi and nearly mastered every form.

"I am glad to hear you learned from my class. The most useful I've taught. I've had to use both of them quite often."

In her tone, he might even hear some of the mischievous side she rarely showed. She might be in her 30s and would live for 1000s of years unless something killed her, Jairdain had all the time in the world to cause a bit of drama and have fun with it.

"Oh, I was just practicing the katas of the lightsaber forms. I just turned them into something I can use. I'm not very good at fighting, but going through the movements can sometimes be very therapeutic."

He might not have recognized any of her movements, but there would have been hints in them for the Forms she was working on.

"I learned something important in that class and not just the lesson. I learned how you are an excellent teacher." A'Sura complimented the Jedi Master as she was able to guide students into a higher level of Force Abilities and some were able to achieve that feat. But He didn't come here to talk about Combat Forms and the first meet of the two Jedi.

"You know, I was going to meditate, but meeting you again after a while. That can wait. I wish to learn more from you"A'Sura Den walked until he was a few feet away from Jedi Master Jairdain Jairdain and bowed his head ".....Master."

A'Sura asked and wished for Jairdain to take him as his master and learn something that he couldn't find in the halls of the library.

The blind woman listened to what A'Sura had to say. Giving a bit of a smile, she was silent until he finished.

"Thank you. Learning is something that happens until a person dies. I don't have any plan to do that any time soon, so I keep learning as well. Meditation? Now that really is something I can help with. If you wanted."

He had said he wanted to learn more from her and then addressed her as Master. This was proper and all that, but Jairdain didn't feel it was needed.

"Please, just call me Jairdain. I don't need to be called a Master right now. There is always a time and place for that, but it isn't now."

Then it dawned on her. A'Sura was looking for a Master and was hoping she would take him on. After her brief blunder moments ago, she nodded and stepped out of the practice ring. If he could read body language, then he would notice she was open and accepting of his proposal.

"Thank you, Jairdain. I learned from you class that you have great intuition and understanding of the Force...." A'Sura is thankful understood that she is not the type to go with 'Master' and 'Padawan' name basis.

He rolled his head and took a deep breath, "I have thought this through many times, I am not .....good at this sort of thing; I've always done things alone. ........I'm strong with the force, I can learn abilities through training at a faster and better rate than most force users on Jedi and Sith. But with all my power, I learned that I'm missing something....."

A'Sura went down on one knee and crossed his legs ready to meditate.

"There are rooms set aside specifically for meditation. Not that we can't do it here. I think you might be more comfortable in a location designed for this."

The choice would be up to him in the end and whatever he decided is what they would do. Jairdain was comfortable pretty much anywhere, even in the heat of battle. Since Battle Meditation was one of her strongest skills, using it in battle was something she had learned to do.

"Knowing your strengths and weaknesses is good. Myself, I am a poor fighter so I'm here practicing. You need practice is meditating. We can work together and we both accomplish our goals. Tell me, A'Sura, what is it you want to focus on? Your path."

"Of course, If you know a good spot, lead the way." He agreed that a more comfortable place of meditation is needed to find out what A'Sura needs instead of a little battle practice.

A'Sura listened to his new master as she pointed out it is good to know one's self. He agrees as he nods his head. Maybe he should hold down the lightsaber training for a while. It has been some time since he meditated. Then She asked him something very intriguing.

"I-I don't know how to respond to that?" He has read through many archives, gained some wisdom, there is so much that he doesn't know.

Nodding, Jairdain would start to leave the practice area and lead them to a quieter section of the Temple. As they walked, she pointed out a few things and then asked what he wanted to focus on for his path. Her attention moved to him for a moment and then back to the hall in front of them.

"When you were young, what were your dreams? What did you want to be when you grew up? These might be silly questions to ask now, but there is a reason for them. You see, when I was young, I wanted nothing more than to be a consular or diplomat. That was my focus and the path I tread. By the time I was your age, I had been posted on Commenor and was the advisor of the Crown Prince as well as the royal family."

This example might help him in knowing how to answer her question.

A'Sura walked with his new master to a much comfortable section of the Temple. He discussed that he wished to focus on his path as he was 'lost'.

He listened to her response. She asked him of his dreams, what he wanted to be when he grew up. These were things that he didn't think of in a long time. A'Sura thought of himself as a child, trying to remember what he was like. He was a warrior back than trained to by the Thyrsian race. Thinking on how to respond to her question.

"As a child, I was very unjedi-like. Do you know about the Thyrsian Race, Jairdain?"

He asked his master about his race, for her to understand what he was like. So he can answer her question the best he can.

The silence between them as they walked did not bother Jairdain at all. Often enough, she had left something unsaid as she considered how to answer. So him not answering right away indicated to her A'Sura was thinking. Even being the age he was, that did not mean he had any real idea what he wanted to focus on.

When he asked if she knew about the Thyrsian race, she nodded.

"Not very long ago I met their leader and he put on a grand banquet for me. The Silver Jedi now have your world under our sphere of influence. Sadly, I don't really know very much. Is there anything you wish me to know?"

Walking into a meditation room that was small, she flipped a light on for him and took a seat on the floor.

"In here there should be a chair or pillows. Make yourself comfortable."

With Jairdain, A'Sura has been having quite a comfortable conversation, admittedly, enjoyable. He should have gotten a master a long time ago.

He listened to his master and learned something very interesting. She recently met the leader and had given her a banquet on her visiting his homeworld. He sat down after listening to his master speaking about her time in Thyrsus.

He tilted his head, making a cracking noise while he got comfortable making a lotus meditation pose on one of the pillows. "It has a little more than 10 years since I was in my world let alone talked about it. Oh and you mentioned the Silver Jedi Order is having my home under the influence. I have gotten word that the Echani homeworld is one of many as well. Some of my people will feel some ...skepticism on what's happening."

Jairdain Jairdain

Giving him the time to get comfortable, when he was done, he spoke of how long it had been since had been on his homeworld. Nodding a little, there was no point in telling him that she could never return to hers. For her it had been almost twenty years since it had been destroyed. That was a mystery Jairdain did not think would ever be solved. A handful of people had been sent away just before it happened and she had never encountered any of them. Silently, she wondered if any of them were still alive. Starting a new life for herself had brought her to the Silver Jedi and that path had taken her all over the Galaxy to end up on Kashyyyk. She rarely spoke of her own world and that was fine. Even after all these years, there was still a sense of loss within her.

"Yes, when we expanded our territory to Eshan, your world was included. That was why I was sent there to talk to their leader."

Oh yes, there were some people that were skeptical of what was going on. Jairdain was confident they would eventually come to accept it though. If they did not then they were free to leave, but most choose to remain and their rulership would continue without the Silvers oppressing them in any manner.

"Do you wish to go back? What are your feelings on the situation?"
