Taking Things Serious [Dragon School - Training]

[member="Mason Raxsted"]

Progress was going well for his Padawans, but Josh felt that there was still more that he could do. With things moving around on the Jedi front, Josh had taken the Final Dragon, his ship, as a permanent training area for his Padawans instead of a specific Temple unless requested by the Padawan themselves. It was here that this particular Padwan would be called onto for a practice session. Josh was an adept in combat, and still felt he had more to teach in that sector... Though he would be covering more than that as he went, of course. But practice made perfect.

Mason was a newer one of his Padawans, one with a great deal of potential. Something he wanted to cultivate, best he could. So he had been called for a series of one on one training sessions, with his hopes that he could uncover the diamond in the rough that he felt he saw...

Over the course of the last few months, Mason had become far more comfortable with his place among the Silver Jedi. He wasn't more comfortable because of his skill level or abilities, but simply had grown to feel as though he belonged. At least to some extent. In this vein, he moved through the corridors of the Final Dragon with his head held high and his shoulders back. His gait wasn't one of cockiness, instead it simply displayed a level of newfound confidence. In his time with Master Dragonsflame - as well as others from the Silver Jedi - he had come to the realization that they not only desired for him to succeed, they actually believed he could. It was growing easier for him to convince himself that if they saw something in him worth training, then perhaps there was something there after all.

Mason punched in the door code in order to enter the training room, ready for his next lesson with his fellow students. He'd grown comfortable with them, especially Nia, whom he counted as a friend. She'd gone a long way to lift his confidence, too, as well as putting in effort to break him out of his awkward shell. The servos inside the internal door mechanisms whirred to life, kicking the door sideways to disappear into the bulkhead. Mason was surprised upon entering, however, to see that only his master stood in the otherwise empty chamber. A feeling of discomfort rolled over him briefly, but he rejected it as he came to stand just inside the doorway, adopting a respectful posture as he waited for his master to speak.

Of course, this instead would be a single, one on one session. Mason's progress was going well and Josh wanted to cultivate and foster that. To do so, he needed to work with him one on one a little bit more, which he would happily do if it would help. So when he entered, Josh would take a deep breath, slowly using Force Levitation to bring himself to his feet. His legs unfurled once he was in the air high enough, before he landed on his feet as a result and turned back toward Mason.

"Today we'll be undergoing a one on one session, to work on your bladesmanship and Force power use" Josh would remark bluntly, deciding to get straight to business as he would hold out a hand, a training saber flying from the nearby rack he had set up, which he would toss to Mason. "How much experience do you have in the vein of using a training saber or any other melee weapon?" He would inquire with a curious tint to his expression and tone.
