-Single minded: Talanis has one goal in life and one goal only. Everything else is secondary to accomplishing, including courtesy, diplomacy, rules, relationships, and common decency. All must be sacrificed for the greatest good, if need be.
-Nothing Left: Once a member of the New Jedi Order, Talanin has had everything he belonged to and believed in stripped away and destroyed. He sees himself as having nothing more that he could lose, and expects everyone else to do the same.
APPEARANCE:
Talanis is an older, very muscular man, with a vicious lightsaber scar that cuts across his torso, from the day of treachery that brought the Alliance to its knees. Otherwise, he seems like a decent, gentle man, except for the shadows that lurk deep within his eyes. He is tall, muscular, and has long white hair tied back above his beard.
BIOGRAPHY: Talanis had always been a Jedi. He joined the Jedi as a young boy, eager to become a hero in the eyes of the galaxy, and for a while, he was content. But as the wars between Sith and Jedi dragged on, his more romantic ideas of what it meant to be a Jedi were ground down and destroyed, as his friends and companions were slain one by one. Eventually, he came to terms with it, and spend much of his time training new members of the NJO for the Galactic Alliance, as he had gotten older, and felt he could do a better job by teaching. And then, the Alliance was crippled by treachery in the highest levels of the Order.
Everything that he thought he had been fighting for was destroyed, and he was nearly slain by one of his own students, who had joined the traitors. Yet, he lived, caught for what seemed like an eternity on the borders of life and death. Yet, he survived, and returned a changed man. Taciturn and calculating, Talanis saw the grand scope of the galaxy and that the other governments were useless. Idle dreams of those with no knowledge or strength. Only he has been given a vision from the Force of what must be done.
The Light must burn away the Dark.
