BIOGRAPHY:
Taleen was born to the Clan Mother of the Frenzied River clan, and as such grew up learning Allyan Magic with her younger sister and being groomed to take over as Clan Mother one day. She learned spells to enhance weapons, control the wind and make friends of beasts and animals, but for Taleen it was not enough. She craved power, and wished for the Frenzied River to conquer other tribes with their strength, but neither her mother nor her sister would sister would support. Thus she became distant from her family and her clan, rarely speaking to any of them except when hunting, or to fight with them.
The fights began as small and calm debates, but as Taleen got older and her ambition grew, they became less civil, more heated, and louder. Each being more out of control than the last, for years until her mother named Taleen’s sister as her successor, despite Taleen’s greater magical strength. Four days later Taleen and her sister got into a fight again, but this time it ended not in words, but her sister’s death. Her Mother found Taleen and her sister moments later, and then engaged Taleen in battle. Taleen lost, badly, but luckily her strength and attitude had given her a reputation, and she was being watched that day. The Nightsisters had taken an interest in her, and once her defeat was obvious they swarmed in and overtook the Frenzied River Clan and saved her from her mother. They killed all of the women, enslaved all of the men, and gave Taleen a choice to join them, if she could prove her loyalty and killed her mother.
So then, the Nightsisters stayed at the former Frenzied River Clan’s encampment for the next four days, with Nightsisters on Taleen’s mother every moment. She spent every waking torturing her mother, until Taleen got her mother to admit she was right, that the Nightsisters were right, that power was the only thing that matters, then fed her to Taleen’s rancor. The Nightsisters, though annoyed with her lengthy method of killing, were both impressed and afraid of her ruthlessness, efficiency, and natural comprehension of Shadow Magic. For the next eight years she hunted, learned, killed, and conquered with the Nightsisters. She rose in power, rank, deviousness, and knowledge of the Book of Shadows. Then one day a metal bird from the heavens came down on Dathomir, and the Nightsister Matriarch felt the presence of Jai, and Night Jai at that. The Matriarch sent Taleen with a squad of Nightsisters to execute the heretic Jai and claim the metal bird which traversed the Heavens, and over the next week she systematically killed all of them but their leader. She tracked the leader down to the inside of his metal bird, and killed him in the presence of a demon lingering in a body of stone and metal. She was about to kill the demon too, but it informed her that it was a slave to whatever witch had the most power, and by killing the heretic Jai Taleen had taken ownership of the golem-demon. She questioned the demon for hours, about the stars that it came from, about the heretic male witches it served, about other heretic male witches that called themselves Jedi, and about how the demon could take her to anywhere in the heavens if she wished it so.
After her interrogation of the demon was over, Taleen told it to stay in the metal mount, then returned and told the Matriarch of all the demon informed her of. The Matriarch informed her of old legends that stated the stars were not heavens, but merely a huge space, filled with other lands like Dathomir, and of the heretic witches that lived there, and other demons called ‘droids’. Tales that over 5 generations ago, people would come to Dathomir from the stars regularly(400 year darkness). This brought about a fire in Taleen, and with the Matriarch’s approval she was sent as a scout and a shock trooper, to recruit new Nightsisters from the stars, and bring more of these ‘ships’ back home so that the Nightsisters might leave Dathomir and conquer the Galaxy.
