There wasn't too much to the outback. Maybe that's why they called it the outback. Since leaving this dirthole she'd been drawn back time and time again. Her last job was a bust, losing her almost all her credits. After hunting down the treasure map for weeks she'd had to face off against her partner whom had betrayed her in a last ditch effort.
The words echoed in her head in the gruff voice of her Master, Talon Caren.
Yes but she'd killed. whether out of need or out of spite she'd drove her saber through Cromwells heart with a vengeance unlike her as soon as he had drawn. Outnumbered by his men the battle raged hot, and the map being only ancient paper had burned.
"Damn it."
Was all she could manage as her toe stubbed on a large rock in the street.
Now she remembered why she left.
"Ey there sweetheart, need any lettuce?"
Jade cast a wary glance at the vendor, giving him a slight smirk and waving her hand with a subtle but sure tone in her voice.
"You don't want to sell me lettuce, you want to point me to the nearest tavern or cantina."
A glazed look came over the farmers face, and then he nodded.
"Jus' that a way. Two doors down. Best pilots and such in this side o the galaxy miss."
"Thanks a bunch."
She pulled her cloak tighter about her, concealing her ratty and tattered Jedi robes. The Lightsabers still jingled against her hip, which was a small evil to be tolerated. Folks round these parts were none too fond of the Jedi.
Minutes later through the pouring rain and wind she stumbled through the door of the tavern, glancing about.....

A Jedi does not kill needlessly.....
