- SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
- Conjuration - the sword isn’t always physically present and must be summoned from the ichor to be used as a regular weapon: As such can’t be stolen easily due to this effect.
- Lightsaber resistance - The sword is able to battle a lightsaber.
- Magical Ichor - As Katrine has absorbed ichor during the mission, traces of it remained in her system. As a powerful magical entity, when used, it requires her complete attention, meaning if she’s using it, she can’t use any other aspect of the Force without sustaining any damage.
- Cool looking Sword - While the sword is a conjuration of the magical ichor and can be used against lightsabers and cut as a sword, it has no magical application (no waves of energy when slashing) outside of weapon based combat.
The sword was originally created several hundred years ago, before the Gulag plague. As the Nightsister leader Mother Tanzin had power over the ichor and could conjure different objects, one of those objects was the sword which she conjured when confronted by Jedi Master Mace Windu. Once created, its hilt resembled the face of the Malmourral, demon worshiped by the Frangawl Cult and its blade appeared to be consumed by green flames. The weapon could withstand combat against the Jedi Master’s lightsaber.
After the battle she disappeared, making one final return through the green mist. The sword however was seemingly lost.
In the present time, the Mandragora and Dark Acolytes of the Confederacy of Independent Systems discovered the old Sith Academy on Ryloth where they discovered a source of the ichor housing trapped souls and spirits in pain, controlled an old ghost who attempted to use the ichor against the group. Katrine, having been touched and marked by the three spirits of Mandragora and was going through her ascension to their Nightmother stepped into the magical ichor, allowing the ichor and its spirit to consume her. Twas the spirits possessing Katrine that put the idea into her head, seeing her not as a threat by someone who could help set them free.
At their insistence, she reached into the depths of the ichor as she chanted, conjuring a sword which became solid in her grasp. For the most part, it appears as an ordinary sword with a special looking hilt but it’s the green flames that give them a unique look.
