Description: A utility tank is an oddity, if not especially for The Primeval. The TD-01 was originally designated as a tank destroyer with the sole purpose of combating enemy armoured vehicles, however during development the vehicle received extensive modifications to the overall design. Rather than being equipped with a standard mass-driver turret, it is instead armed with a heavy turret-mounted ion cannon used to disable enemy vehicles and electric-sensitive structures. Another innovative addition is the retractable plow at the front which when dropped will protect the front of the vehicle from the explosives whilst clearing mines and utilizing a ground-penetrating radar to aid in this.
Despite all good intentions, one major drawback is the lack of offensive... anything. The ion cannon is good at disabling, might do some damage due to the heat itself but otherwise there's nothing to actually destroy a target. As well the wheels are vulnerable from the sides as they're only thinly armoured.
