- Area of Effect: This weapon fires 40mm grenades that while only range out to 450-500 meters, are utterly devastating to infantry, light skinned vehicles, and not reinforced structures. Because it's a Grenade Machine Gun.
- Ammo dependent: This weapon system is extremely ammo dependent, and while you are only limited by how many grenades you can fit on a belt, that ammo is extremely, extremely heavy. Which forces you essentially have this weapon on a vehicle or in a static position. And it guzzles ammo much faster than any repeater or blaster cannon.
- Minimum Range: This thing has a minimum range for its ammunition of 50 meters, because any closer and risk blowing yourself up.
- You ain't firing this on the move: This gun is extremely heavy for the average infantryman, which is why in order to operate off a vehicle it REQUIRES that you mount it to a tripod. That means you won't be able to suddenly pick this weapon and move it as it at a minimum requires a team of three personnel totally dedicated to the weapon system to disassemble it and move it, and they ain't moving anywhere fast.
The M-19 is another weapon borne out of Sergei's experience on his home world for support weapons used to support infantry operations. This weapon system fills the niche of a heavy weapons platform that can engage targets with both direct or indirect fires out to 500 meters. And when this weapon is utilized properly it can engage targets that are both seen and not because it doesn't matter if you can see the man behind the wall if you literally destroy the wall, the building and anything inside of a 15 meter radius. It does this with extreme prejudice and so long as the target is outside of a 50 meter "safe zone" for the operators it will utterly annihilate anything that isn't properly reinforced or otherwise armored.
