SPECIAL FEATURES
  • 6.8 mm x 43 mm cartridge offers high stopping power and accuracy in round performance, giving the rifle a very good base to work with for ballistics
  • Select Fire system in rifle is analog and therefore allows full operation of weapon system in any environment
  • Weapon requires no shielding against EMP or Ion weapons, and gas system offers extreme durability and reliability even with the addition of suppressors
  • Addition or subtraction of attachments allow for this weapon to allow customization to make it perfect for any shooter (including changing the ejection port side, and the fire selection switch is ambidextrous which makes it convenient for left handed shooters)
STRENGTHS
  • Reliability first - This weapon's construction with complete analog components, piston driven gas system, and slug thrower build makes it perfect to utilize in any environment, including space. If you need a rifle that works anytime, anywhere regardless if it's dragged through mud, set on fire, dropped, or even used as a melee weapon (just don't try your luck against a lightsaber) this is the rifle to use.
  • Accuracy in the spades - Inside this weapon's designed range this thing is second to very few rifles when it comes to accuracy. You need to lay down some rounds in the field against an enemy that's a good bit away? This weapon can and will give you the ability to lay down fires on that bad guy. And when you are not only putting down steel on an enemy, but doing so accurately, it gives them a lot of reasons to not try to stick their heads up and play hero.
  • Ballistic Trajectory and speed - These rounds are not blaster bolts, they do not move so relatively slowly that people can dodge them with ease in medium to long range engagements. And that's mainly because these rounds are flying out of the weapon at just over 900 meters per second. And with the size to go along with it, these rounds pack some serious punch, so you aren't going to just shrug off being hit once, let alone when someone empties half a magazine into you at point blank range.
WEAKNESSES
  • Watch your ammo count - This weapon used cased ammunition, and while it can carry 30 rounds of ammo per magazine, you have to be conscious of how much you are shooting. Ammo is heavy, and so with this weapon system as a rifleman you need to make every shot count. And unlike blasters that get hundreds of rounds per charge, this thing only gets 30 rounds. Any more and you are getting into heavier style magazines that are meant for automatic riflemen, which makes the weapon considerably heavier. So get used to doing mag changes and watch your round count, as it's easy for you to run out.
  • Training required - As is the case for any higher end slug throwers, especially those with accuracy and range in mind, training is a necessity on this weapon system. This means that this weapon will require soldiers and mercenaries to get time on the range, along with a full list of classes on how to maintain, shoot, and fix this weapon for any issues that may happen. And while she is extremely reliable and a good piece of equipment, she is not immune to mechanical failures if you don't take proper care of her. And for those who don't know, exploding rifles are extremely deadly to their shooters.
DESCRIPTION
Immediately after the implementation of the M-114 "Hunter" DMR into the ranks of Sergei's mercenary unit, Sergei noticed that many of his men were wanting to take the weapon in place of their standard rifles onto ground deployments, even though they weren't marksmen. This created the issue that Sergei needed his riflemen to be bringing more standard combat rifles, not designated marksman rifles, and brought the issue to the in house developer Ryan Alphonse. Their response to this issue was the M-416. The rifle's ammo capacity was increased to 30 rounds, the barrel shortened, and everything was reinforced to allow for high rates of fire alongside the standard semi-auto and burst modes. The addition of more weight to the weapon and increased durability allows this rifle to take the punishment of being on the front lines in any battlefield and to be an extremely viable tool in any Infantryman's arsenal. It provides accurate, ranged, and powerful shots with the ability to go full auto in CQC so that with a single trigger pull you can annihilate the man across the room from you with a controlled spray of bullets. And nothing really says "Get off my turf," quite like the extremely loud and disorienting repeated blasts of a rifle being shot repeatedly indoors. These weapons however do require more maintenance than your average blaster, and as they are built to last and be extremely durable, simple things like cleaning them are necessary for long term performance and longevity. But you can beat, bash, smash, heat, or even freeze these weapons and all you have to do is make sure your magazine is working, slap that ammo home, pull that charging handle, and fire away. And it will shoot every single time.
