- It's a 40mm Autocannon that shoots 40x400mm cased ammunition with terrifying effects down range. It doesn't matter whether it was (yes, was) tanks, infantry, or even walkers, when you hit something with this gun, it'll not only know but realize it needs to not be there if it's still alive after the first shot. And that's a really big if.
- Armor Piercing Incendiary rounds gives this weapon the ability to punch through all but the extremely heaviest of vehicle armors. Even then the poor crew inside is going to need a change of pants and will need to figure out how to leave, post haste. And these rounds can reach out pretty far to engage even heavy vehicles with terrifying effectiveness and accuracy.
- High Explosive Fragmentation Incendiary Rounds are amazing at dealing with infantry in the open, as if they aren't caught in the immediate blast they get to contend with not only the shrapnel from the warhead, but also all the fragmentation from what was left of their friends. So laugh with sadistic glee as this weapon makes magic and literally causes entire squads to disappear with a single burst.
- Magazines have auto-feeding mechanisms that engage when the new magazine is attached to the primary weapon system, disabling the need for manual feeding of rounds. Should this belt be destroyed there is a secondary way to pull the rounds loose and jam them in by the droid but this takes much, much longer.
- Safety on the weapon system ensures the weapon would fire unless a TCD-2D is holding it, due to grip safety and a small power circuit generated by the weapon.
- FM-001 across the few electrical components makes this weapon almost impervious to EMP/Ion based weaponry/environments.
- Pure Destruction that comes in Automatic, Semi-Automatic, and Three Round burst: This weapon system is designed to give the primary users, the TCD-2D, a massive ability to effect huge damage down range with massive accuracy. And it does so with a cyclic rate on Automatic of 100 rounds a minute. This gives the droid a massive weapon with a huge potential for destruction and mayhem. Which means when this autocannon starts shooting, run. Don't take cover, don't try to return fire, just run.
- This thing is huge!: You're not going to carry or utilize this in power armor. Period. It's designed specifically for the TCD-2D which is many times stronger, larger, and more powerful than any organic being its size alive. The recoil alone would turn any person who was behind it into paste. And outside of this weapon system the autocannon this thing houses is meant for vehicles. So yeah, way too big for a single person to actually wield.
With the advent of the TCD-2 variant Delta, new weapons were needed to be created for the droids to utilize. And one of the first to be designed, was the brand new M-7 40mm autocannon. Put into a massive assault cannon designed for the droids to use as a heavy rifle, the M-7 does its intended purpose well. And that intention is to raise hell and absolutely terrify anyone who comes across these droids in the field. With a 40x400mm autocannon, these droids can not only rival tanks, they can absolutely destroy them and give any walker they come across a good run for their money. This weapon gives these droids the ability to lay down effective and overwhelming covering or assaulting fires as their peers charge to close with and destroy the enemy. And when your round can even punch through tank armor like its paper mache, well, that's a thing that even I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of. So hold onto your hats and watch the fireworks, gonna be a great show when these guns start shooting.
