Teachings in the Dark (Alexandra Cinthra)

The Echani kept his head low as he made his way down the lower streets of Coruscant, the bottom of his black longcoat kicking in the gentle wind that winded it's way through the alleys. His reason for being here was not simply to gaze upon the Sith's new territory, no. Instead he had tracked down a teacher, one who was not a Sith or a Jedi, but something inbetween. It wasn't that the Sith's teachers weren't good enough, but they seemed to be busy with the war efforts. Varis wouldn't let this opportunity for teaching go to waste.

He came around the corner of one street, noticing the one he looked for. She was unaware of him initially, but he made himself known as he walked over with his hands in his coat pockets. "Greetings, Am I right in thinking you are the one I seek?" He asked, only just noticing she too was an Echani.

She looked up at the man that had made himself known, her hands holding onto a wardroid she was dragging out of the rubble and into the open. Her hands, face, and trousers/shirt were covered in dirt and oil as well as other fluids. Her sabers also hung from her belt and silver eyes focused on the sith. "Depends on why you were looking for me, if it is a good reason then perhaps I am."

He chuckled slightly at her reply, shaking his head. "Worry not. I'm just wondering what a person of your abilities, and looks, is doing here, since you aren't a Sith." The Echani reached out with his hand, using his limited telekinesis powers to bring a small power coupling from the scrap pile into his palm. Throwing it up and down lightly, he awaited the woman's reply.

She shrugged and pulled the droid once more over to a nearby landspeeder, modified to carry finds like this and her eyes now turning to the man with curiosity. "Nor am i a jedi, that liberates certain freedoms. Im here looking for old and damaged junkers like this poor sap to tear apart and dissect so that i have a better understanding of how they work and see if i can improve upon the design, and while i would love to continue this talk i do have to get back to my ship to finish this research... though if you are still curious as to my being i guess it wouldn't hurt to tag along, just dont touch anything."

"Sounds like an offer I can't refuse." The man smiled, dropping the power coupling while using his other hand to gesture away. "Lead the way." He said, ready to follow the woman wherever she would take him. All the while, he examined her figure, surprised that a person of such power wore such poor clothes, and resorted to such a poor proffession. Maybe it was a disguise?

Alexandra nodded and jumped, heading over the landspeeder instead of bothering to walk around, landing and immediately turning to get into the vehicle. "Well, then get in, and again, dont touch anything or ill throw you out of it without caring where we are." She grinned at him, both joking while also dead serious should he screw up anything in the speeder or her ship. Once in though she would start the engine and let the speeder take to the sky, her research ship not far from where they were, it never was. [member="Varis Stalwart"]

Varis flicked the end of his coat out of the way, allowing him to get into the speeder more easily. Once they set off, he looked out at the view of Coruscant, specifically the rebuilding the One Sith had been doing. "What's your view on it then?" He asked, gesturing his head towards the construction sites. "Not just about the construction, but the whole Sith regime in general."

"Honestly, i couldn't give two shits about sith or Jedi, were all accustom to our own decisions and if the two of them want to kill each other over some petty thousands upon thousands of years of arguing. Go right, karking, ahead. Meanwhile ill be working to make my place in the galaxy and grow my business... as for the work being done to rebuild coruscant, that is something that i can pride the Sith on doing, atleast they are showing some improvement."

Varis smirked at her reply, glancing over at her while she drove the speeder. "Your business just droids?" He asked, the seeds of an idea forming in his head. Not long ago he had modified ships, and designed a few, while his Master fought the Republic. His experience in electronics and engineering had led him to designing a few ships, but he never really pursued the business route. There was much more reward in being a Sith...

"Cybernetics in general, programming, all that sort of thing. But Droids most of all because of their ability to live without living, how VIs can be alive yet not percieve their lives as something free and to be achieved into a greater area. Call it transendence if you want, though i like to think of it as a perfect merger between life and death if i could develop an AI, one that would in all sense of the word be human, and perhaps one day merge it with a living being in such a way that they can percieve the force and life as we do now." She smiled as she spoke, moving the landspeeder through the lans of traffic as she drove the thing. "And you, you aspire to just be a Sith all your life?" She glanced over, having figured out who and what he was in such a short time.
