[Team LS] Level Up - Settlement of Summerset

Being a Jedi is more than the Code we strive to be a part of. It is the service of the Light.
The galaxy is a dark place, and if we don’t allow for a set of rules to grant us what we should be doing, and what we shouldn’t? Is it really worth it?
The Corellians had it, perhaps, more right. The Code is a guideline, and that was why there were so many families that explored the galaxy, leaving the homeworld.
That was what the Starchasers did. We chased the points of Light in the field of darkness.
Skywalker said it best, that the Force is a River, and the Jedi is one cup that may drink.
But its not the only cup that can drink in the Light.
--Davik Starchaser, Personal Holocron, recovered by Jedi Ruins Near Tyrena--

The Jedi Praxeum was one such hold, but Brooke “Token” Waters was part of the Starchaser legacy now. She was not the true blood of a Starchaser, but her family had intermingled and she would call the family her own. Much like how she was not a clear Jedi, she had been a Jedi at one point, but found more answers among the Witches. Still, she was here, working with the Praxeum to provide the much needed vision from the outside. Jedi were very deep into their own mythos, but they needed to be aware that. That the Light was much deeper.

The Light included the men and women, the beings who defended freedom, fought against tyranny, and focused on the protection of those who could not protect themselves. Outside the Outer Rim Coalition’s reach of Lasan’s orbit, a small planet, tropical and temperate, was founded. Host to several refugees of various creed and species had been located.

The planet, which was just called Summerset, had very few large settlements, and an island had been located by the Praxeum and supporters. Landing prefabricated structures on the island was going fine, and Miss Waters could swear she heard a Space-Construction Vehicle state that they were good to go. Construction of barracks, and a military styled base was being laid down, quickly.

Jedi and others were coming in to help set the Temple in place, stone being moved by droids, and the Light Siders coming in to sanctify the temple, to create a nexus of the light side. This was countered by the less polished, but no less useful construction by members of the Outer Rim, people who came to help set up a starport, with several landing zones, and most importantly, a cantina. There were missions that smugglers and the plucky heroes needed to take, and this was the easiest way to understand them. The island was going to be a fortress, defensive and ready.

Token smiled as she stood on the cliff, a metal shield on her back, and staff in hand, the blonde woman looked out over the water. Behind her was the base going up. People were arriving, resources were being scouted, and the teams were learning each other’s strengths.

OOC: Objectives
Construction -The base is going up, a stone structure needs to be finalized. Help with defensive structures, living structures, the cantina, and the Temple of Light
Training – A new group has arisen, Jedi, smugglers, Judges, those who lean towards the Light have all arrived on Summerset. Learn from one another, teach your skills, learn theirs, spar, construct new weapons
Gathering - A new world, without any codex sub, yet… This means we can work to develop what this world has, lightsaber crystals, energy sources, Force-linked mounts and beasts. See what a tropical world can yield.

Location: The Settlement of Summerset
Goals: Training and Gathering
Reasons: Its about time He trained someone and got something for himself.

It was quite the enjoyable sight to see, Summerset. The Beaches, the Cliffsides, the People. Too bad Dopi was blind, as he would of been absolutely amazed at the view of the planet with normal sight. As his ship, The Discovery, landed on the planet's surface, he was debating what he should do on this world. He did know of Jedi whom he could teach, but there could also be creatures he could take in as pets, or Crystals for his Lightsaber Pike, or both. He soon made up his mind for what he wanted, and walked down the boarding ramp to feel the slightly warm ground under his feet.

The Planet was one to get used to, as this was the first Beach-like planet he had really been to in quite some time, so he had to readjust to the feeling of sand underneath him. Once he fumbled about a bit, he decided to head towards something of a temple that was nearby where he landed, along side some cliffs, so then he could both train some Jedi in...something, along with searching for any animal that he could take with him off of the planet as a pet, as being on board the Discovery was quite lonely.

Location: New settlement
Objective: Explore and gather

Helping to settle on a new planet was definitely a new experience for Gherron. It was so different, so much more peaceful than his frequent missions in warzones, fighting to defend others. It wasn't as if he hated it, no not at all. His entire life he had spent wanting to defend the helpless and keep them safe. Walking along the beaches of Summerset though, he felt at peace. No fighting. No screaming. No war. Just hundreds of people gathered in one place to create instead of destroy. It was a nice change of pace. It was why he had brought his son along, something he normally didn’t do for fear of his safety. A smile came to his face as the little boy picked up several seashells and studied them intently. Articus was a curious child, not unlike his father. Gherron’s attention turned to the tops of the cliffs to his left, where construction of the main settlement was underway, and where he assumed would be the training sessions too. He figured he'd probably make his way up there to help in some classes, but for now at least, he was content with exploring the fruits of this new world, and finding what secrets it had to offer.

”Come along, Arty.”

Losing is tempoary, giving up is permanent.
Location: New Settlment
Objective: Help where needed

One thing was for certain, the name of this place matched up with it's scenery, those that would be living in the settlement currently under going construction were in fore quite a nice life here, a pristine beach at their finger tips and warm weather to boot. She was honesty surprised that no major company or rich business man had decided to capitalize on this place already,m though not extremely close to the main core worlds there was no doubt quite a few people would come here to seek time off. Time away from the hustle and bustle of city life, work or what ever sort of events they got up to in their own time, not that it really mattered, nothing was stopping her from getting a nice cabin ship and setting up camp for a few days here. As for now? her main job was helping the new settlers get things organized, using her force power to carry awkward abject and other heavy items around the site, easing the load of the workers and speeding things up a little.

"Thank for the help again Sky, just put that lot over their, let the droid work them out", came a call from one of the foremen once again, Sukai carefully lowering the equipment down next to a group of construction droids. "No problem, and again, no need to thank me, kind of nice putting my skills to use in a different way", was always much more relaxing here then on any battlefield.

The blonde was working on a few different aspects of the new world. From here, she, the Witch, was watching the world move around her. Summerset was a beautiful world. She could feel the way the system was symbiotic, the sun was warm, the weather pleasant. This was one of those golden worlds, a cradle for life and species. From flora and fauna to those who have arrived to escape the galaxy at large. The world had already a small unofficial government, a Star Defender was in orbit, just there to keep the peace and welcome newcomers. There were numerous rules.

The planet was using only solar or wind power, to keep settlements going. Farming was allowed, but hunting was restricted. She could feel the light side in the world, the peace and tranquility. There was competition, species hunting each other, to survive, but that was life. It was essential.

Sometimes even the most peaceful groups needed conflict. But the world had those that would defend, and species that could teach the heroes a few things. Turning from the cliff, she walked back down into the main base. As she made her way past the landing ships, she saw the Discovery, and could see other vessels landing, younglings, smugglers, Jedi were all egressing.

“Welcome to Summerset.” She said to the crowd as she passed, smiling. She had a quick meeting with the Temple team first.

Location: New Settlement
Objective: Assist in setting up the Temple; reconnect with the Force.

There were times, in the dark hovels of crime planets or in the endless void of space, when Ben was sure he would never again feel the sun on his cheeks and hear the ocean murmuring beyond his reach. The closest he might have come in the years since leaving the temple on Lothal was hearing errant rain water drip from a gutter under the glow of some cantina's neon sign. Some failure he had been in his promise to his friend Dune to seek the Light as an exile.

Some failure he had been as a Jedi.

At the farthest reaches of the galaxy, Ben had strayed from peace, and instead had become a hired gun. He had strayed from justice, and instead had become a criminal. He had strayed from connectedness, and instead had become lonely. These shortcomings were unnatural at first to the young, prodigious person who had left Lothal, but any marinade can be made potent by time. He had much less of the hope that had characterized his younger self. Today, bathed in light on Summerset, Ben hoped these descriptions were all to be relegated to the past tense.

Though he had narrowed his bandwidth in the Force while in hiding, some signals had come through: faint whispers and tremors, needling at the parts of him that were still the stuff of a Jedi. Somehow, the right vibration at the right vulnerable moment had passed through his filter, and he could not deny the pull of others who were like him, but unbroken. He spent what was left of his last ill-gotten gain, and hopped aboard a shuttle of refugees to a new world that held the promise of a rekindling of the light inside of Ben. When he arrived, it was like his senses flared to their most extreme sensitivity. He hadn't been around so many powerful Force signatures in so long, and he was overloaded with it. He was glad to feel it, taking it as an affirmation that this would be the end of his numbness and the beginning of something real and new. He had followed the crowds to the site of what would be the new temple and awaited instructions.

Perhaps this could be his new home, at long last.
